I wanted to move this augment to my Artisan charm from the Serpent Seeker's charm, but I didn't want to pay 1250pp ... but I didn't want to loose the charm, so I started to think.

My bazaar mule is 20th level, so I loaded her up and got her this augment and put it on her Kobald Skull charm (from the tutorial)

Then I collected enough of the items to get her the Serpent Seeker's charm and destroyed the Kobald Skull charm with the augment on it.

Then I ran the next 2 tasks from Regan. I figured since he was still aloowing me to run them he would give me another augment. He gave me the next 2 tasks, but never gave me another stone.

So, I guess I will have to spend the plat.

You have to use the class 1v solvent to remove the aug, if i remember it correctly
either way it is the 1250p solvent to remove it, that i do remember. i bought the
solvent from the vendor n crescent reach. hope this helps you

Does anyone know how this Aug can be removed?
It does not list a solvent type on the item. Is there anyway to remove it without destroying it? If it gets destroyed will i have to start over or can i get a new stone with the same stats i already have?

Edit:- Just noticed it has a solvent listed here but there is not one listed on the item itself.

hmm mine is still full power .. i do have All of the quests done though. Maybe it was changed and powers up more slowly now?

Here is a complete set of map data for Wanderlust:

You can paste each of these into their respective TSS map files and you will see labels put on your maps that are red and of the form "(WL)<quest_location_name>".

I suggest you paste these either into the <zonename>_1.txt or <zonename>_3.txt files so that you can turn off the 2nd layer of maps which have craploads of labels showing quest mobs, zone named etc that you dont need while doing this quest. You turn those off by opening your map and under the "Base" button, clicking the #2 button once.

WARNING - mobs in Frostcrypt see invis, but none seem to see invis undead so take a potion if u dont have the spell

WARNING - mobs in Ashengate ALL see invis so unless you can FD flop you had better shroud to a rogue first. Also, you will need levitate to do the Ashengate ones so get that fresh before you start it

Ashengate is the last set of quests to do and the aug is better than slipgear even w/o doing Ashengate.

does anyone know a decent site to learn about map scripting ? like why does this guy write 240,0,0,2 , and my maps say 0,0,240,2 ? and why does he starts his lines with a P and my current maps dont have any letter before them and most of them(but not all) have UP in italics after the name of the point ? im not screwin around in there till i know wtf im doin =) thanx in advance

here's some of my notes about how the Map format works for the in game loc as opposed to the map locs. The first line is an example of how a map label would appear. Notice that map labels Swith the X and Y order, as well as Switching the signs (+ or -). the Z axis is the same. It's Simple !

ok first off your in the wrong map file each zone has like 1-3 files for it normaly your points are in 2. points are P lines are L. as for his codeing it's cause of how eq reads it if alla gives you a point 250, -300 you see it as n/s , e,w. but eq codeing does it diffrent it would read

sony changes the order of n/s and e/w also sony changes neg to pos and pos to neg. the 0.0000 is for altuiduid i think.(spelling stinks i know). i dont know what the 0, 0, 0, 1, is but i think it has to do with text size and color when i do it as that it always comes up black small print. but thats as best i can explain it i had to figure that out on my own by trial and error doing warrior 1.5 quest onthe page part. well good luck.

BTW, completed this with my cleric (solo) today.

For Ashengate, I shrouded to level 70 rogue and used sneak + hide + levitate & sow. you have to time your movement so that you are always behind mobs so they cant see you since you dont have real SoS skill.

I died lots of times (probably 8) so its handy to have a resser and a corpse at the zi to save you runs back to Ashengate. For the last loc I was impaient and used DA, then target-DA on myself (insta-cast) and just ran to the final hot-spot.

Basically, it can be done by yourself for a non-fd class but its a pain in the ****, takes patience and some luck on pathing.

I use a artisan charm myself. 2 aug slots and if you have good tradeskills goes up pretty high. +225 hps mana with no augs. so its pretty nice. I just have loadstone upto 10 stage and my waye stone which isnt too good really its upto +273 which isnt too bad since im not a raider. Sure beats my language one i had on earlier.

I have finished this up through the Frostcrypt portion.

A good timed invis can get you to nearly every spot safely. The Redmoon Massacre Site in Mesa was one exception, and lots of mobs added once my invis dropped. Another exception was in Blightfire, where the Ghostpack wolves see invis. You can get to every spot in Frostcrypt with Invis. vs. Undead. I used a Philter of Undead Awareness, and it worked great.

In Vergalid Mines, you can hail the NPC while invis. It looked like some mobs were realatively close, so I didn't drop invis. It worked fine. In general, I found you can hail NPCs while invis DURING the task, but you can't GET the tasks from the cartographer or Regan while invis. In other words, once you have the task, you can stay invis if you want to.

Under the "EQ" button in your UI (that opens with a menu of: Navigation ... Players ... Actions .. Quests etc)

Select--> EQ: Quests: Rewards

and you can select to recieve the augment after completion of the 1st step.

If you use a custom UI and your reward windo is blank, you can /load default to select your task rewards before going on the long hunt for the window fix =)

ok check this out this is way worth it. first go to the good side DON with 165 radiant crystals and buy Prism of Companionship. it's a 2 aug slot charm that gets better the longer you are in a zone. goes slow if solo but pretty quick in a grp. stats max at +15 to all and saves and +80 to end mana and hp. then get your slipgear aug and max it out. doing the math right there gives you a wild aug. now slipgear is all slots charm... and the tss one is type seven charm... but the don charm has 2 slots and they both fit.. so you now have an amazing charm by itself for next to nothing. and 2 of the best easy to get augs in game in it. doing the math here gives you +40 something to stats and saves, a lil bit of armor class like 20 or so, and over 200 mana hp and end...
so now folks tell me again why this wouldn't be worth it? cant do much better than that for a charm for an item that anyone can get.

the charm based off language is better than that one IMO, or for tank types the battle tested pin

i myself use the Artisan Charm with Adv stone and wanderl aug

i was referring to the talisman of the speallweaver actually,
which can be augged with 2 augs, but it isn't cleric useable however (
cleric useable 2 slot charms are: prism of companionship, blessed reviver's charm, charm of the lone crusader, and the artisan charm
so maybe the prism is best for clr wanting 2 aug slots,
i just use wailing soulstone from Riftseeker's for my clr

Oh, you mean the reward?
Lemme explain you something boy.
I like TSS very much, I started to play again by luck, and started a drakkin for fun.
So many tasks.. It's not bothering. The reward is decent, and you can start it early.

So just letting you know, the game is not all about reward to show off. It's about passing time, and so far, I am level 9 in like 8 hours, with some gears, some skills in tradeskills, and of course, no external help.

These tasks are great, this task is great also, I will start it as soon as I hit level 10..

Final objective- Report to Regan:
You say, 'Hail, Master Vanguard Regan'

Receive the FINAL task: Wanderlust Guild: Into the Reliquary, which requires acccess to Ashengate.

STEP 77:
Locate the Artifact
Enter Ashengate. Go into center wing, take a right, then follow hallways around to the left until you get to large room where a giant Scale is displayed. Location +1359, +67, as close to the Scale as you can get on the observation platform. (Note: the Scale is the "Artifact".)

STEP 78:
Find the top of the Shattered Halls
Go back to the entrance hall and take the West wing. Follow ramps up. Location +428, +401 (or thereabouts). It's not all the way up to the top.

STEP 79:
Travel across the Stone Span
Keep following the West wing path up and over and then down (one way). You will come to a snaky bridge with fire elementals. Location +794, +697.

There are several one-way drops to this site. Either evac to zonein or continue following path until you come to a round room filled with lava and a platform in the center. On the far side of this room is a spiral sculpture which if clicked will zone you out to Direwind, about halfway down the ramp up to Ashengate. Go back up ramp and zone into Ashengate.

STEP 80:
Explore the Nesting Grounds
Go back to the entrance hall and take the East wing. Follow the path until you come to a small building-like structure. Take a right in the second room and follow ramp down. Follow tunnel until you come across several "islands" in the sky connected by narrow rock walkways. Follow path to 3rd "island". Location +1544, -850.

STEP 81:
Find the place where the lava pools
From entrance hall, take North wing to the Scale room (step #1). Using Lev (I had FoE), float down to a small landing NE of the scale, at lava level. Landing spot has a dragon-head gate to the NE (wouldn't open). Location +1893, -272 (or so).

You can gate out from here, but with FoE, I was able to work my way from rock to rock and finally get to the center rock with enough height to float back to the observation platform.

STEP 82:
Report back to Regan
Your task 'Wanderlust Guild: Into the Reliquary' has been updated.
You receive 200 platinum.
You gain experience!

After this, if you hail him again, Regan says,
'Hail to you <name>. I'm a bit busy right now, perhaps you could come back another time.'

My 70 druid finished this up to step 70.

Invis worked fine the whole way. The only problem was the wizzy tower which had a named mammoth by the tower who saw invis but he was easy to run around and I came up to the tower from the back side.


edit: Step 28 had some Dryads that see invis right at the entrance of the valley. It worked better if I came into the valley from the right hand side (West I think).

Also, be careful when you're on step #60 and locate the wizzie spires...if Bloodfoot is around, he can see through your shrouded rogue form (if you're on hide and sneak mode). Took me out fast, but not before I was able to locate spires and get the update...you suckah, Bloodfoot!

yes there is a charm that has 2 slots you can put your slipgear gem and the wanderlust guild loadstone in it. Its called the artisan charm. It is trivial in pottery at 250 atm. The charm is maxxed once you have all tradeskills maxxed out.

Just completed the Ashengate part of the quest, after 4 hours of FDing and training in the zone and the aug stats didnt change at all. So they extended the quest last patch but neglected to make the reward any better. hoping this is just another in the long list of sony Devs mistakes.

copy and paste these locs into the corresponding zones in your everquest map files, c:\program files\sony\everquest\maps or such. obviously just paste the P lines , not the names of the zones into those .txt files.

Where did you get these numbers from? are they locations? Normal /locs have only 2 decimal places ie. 2999.00 I don't see any light blue lables on the my map, which maps are you using?

these numbers are copied straight from the map .txt files. copy and paste them into the maps for the corresponding zones (note that the map file wont update if you're in that zone with a character while changing the .txt map file)

just a little tid bit of information, the map file Locs are the same as the in game Locs except that you flip the X and Y coordinates and switch the pos/neg signs (for x+y, not Z axis); example:

in the game loc reads...
-1538.95 , -597.00 , -308.20

but map point reads..
P 597.0000, 1538.9500, -308.2000

so yes they are game locs, kinda. the numbers after the first there are the values for the color, and the last number indicates the size of the label.

Anyone discovered how yet? I've tried visiting all the zones; didn't hit them all yet, but have hit over half -- no change yet. Time in zone?? Looking for ideas on avenues to pursue.

On acquisition, the stats are not as show: 1 on AC and all stats/resists, 7 on hp/mana/end.
