You don't get any mana regen from a horse while in melee.
This is a nice toy but pretty sure our 68 summoned hammer is better DPS. I'd play with this though and hope it looks pretty. :)

Proc (750DD, -200MR) and delay (2s) make this weapon a viable DPS option for a Priest class. Of course, we're still a lightyear and an astronomical unit behind a true DPS, but every little bit helps sometimes.
Personally, I tend to only melee when tanks have agro quite well, and when I can be on my mount. It seems irresponsible for a Priest to waste valuable medding just to melee in most situations. But, hey, if one has a mount they're fond of, or they just enjoy playing that way, this weapon looks like fun!
