I can confirm the fact that the escaped spawn on the peninsula or first island whatever you'd like to call it. i can also confirm that they do not spawn at night. i killed two of them and they both dropped the bracers...weither or not i can complete the combine now will be a matter of fate!
Got both escaped within an hour by hanging out near E Cab zone, killing everything I could see. Never once saw a Frog Escort... Did the combine (Bone Granite Powder) first time successfully with 107 smith triv.
Can anyone confirm that the Pile of Granite Pebbles is NODROP. Alla isn't showing that in description but I would imagine since the shackles are NODROP, that the pebbles would be too.

disregard the second half of this message.....i found the toilmaster, obviously if u read the post b4 mine, but i still cant get the granite pebbles because when i hail the toilmaster all he says to me is something like "dont keep bothering me unless you want to be in the chain gang. now go away", but nothing is in brackets so i cant respond to him....a little help please?
I found the frogs by killing everything right there at the newbie section in the swamp of no hope. I got 2 bracelets in about 30 min. I also got 2 skipping stones while here. Jhadlin is right these buggers sure love to run. Everything seems to be on a five minute timer.
the curescale armor has the same stats. why dont you just get curescale? you can get a whole set of curescale before you can just find out how to finish the quest?
To finish the Training Bag quest once, you need 6 shackles (2 Shackles = 1 Granite Pebble). However, if you want to try to upgrade your entire armor set from the Curscale Armor that Klok Mugrok gave you, you need to finish this quest at least 10 times (10 different rewards, some rewards will be duplicates). That's a minimum of 60 Escaped Frogloks that you must kill!!!
I don't know that I'd go so far as to seek out a whole set, but to upgrade a couple pieces of armor is a worthwhile way to build your skills and gain some experience. Example of upgrade over Curscale Armor: Curscale Shawl (worn on shoulders): AC +2, WT 0.3Sparring Shoulder Pads: AC +2, DEX +1, HP +2, WT 0.3.
Not an incredible upgrade, but, again, something to do while developing your skills and advancing from, say, lvls 7-10. The salves themselves are easy, but Frogloks will team up on you the same way the Wolfscale pups did. Before you know it, not only are you fighting the Esacped Froglok, but a Froglok Bounderer just dropped out of the trees behind you and starts beating on you at 20-30 per hit plus stuns.
Another ***** about hunting Frogloks is that turn tail and run. They are much better at running through trees than you are (you have to run *around* the trrees, they run almost through them). One night when doing this solo, I fought 10 Escaped Frogloks and only managed to kill 2 of them because they either lost me in the woods or a Bounderer came up behind me.
If you do this solo, at some point you will need to leave the path to chase them through the woods. If you follow them, be aware that you may die. If you start getting gandg tackled, remember that since they run away from you fatser than you can chase them, they are also able to travel through the woods faster to keep uup with you while you are running away from them. Head straight towards the Swamp (down hill) and rememebr which direction to turn once you get there to bring you as close to your entry point as possible. Also, bring a torch with you to make it easier to find your body later.
The escape froglok slaves are rare and I mean rare. I have seen 2 in all the time playing in SoNH. Trying to get 6 of them is going to be very tough. If anyone knows where these little buggers spawn I would really like to know.
Go down the path until you hit the water, then go across to where the path starts up again and stay on that part of the path. Go up and down killing everything you see and the escaped frogloks will show up, sometimes with a froglok escort.

you have to ask the toilmaster 'where can i get small granite pebbles' (without the quotes of course) then he will tell you about the escaped frogloks which are on the newbie path in Swamp of No Hope past the river...just keep running straight on the path then swim straight to the other side of river. you will find the escaped slaves there (as well as the skipper for the skipping stone quest) next time be an adventurer and find this stuff out by talking to EVERYone (NPCs)...i found all this stuff on my own

Good way to get them is to go to Swamp of No Hope and find the Escaped Froglock Slaves. Kill two of em and give the shackles to the ToilMaster in East Cabilis, he'll give you pebbles. That's probably the easiest way.. If there's a better way, I'd like to know, heheh.
I have looked all over kunark (though that isn't far at level 5) and have found no trace of them, also none of the local iksars of higher and equal levels can help me? Can you???
