These got nerfed for sure. They only do BASE selo's speed, so even your instrument mastery or your level won't increase their speed any. They give 49 velocity, where as Selo's with no instruments or epic or anything gives 61. MAJOR nerf, as they used to be fully modded. So, they're pretty much garbage now, since you can just get Run Speed 5 and that's permanent.
Hi, I just got these on Phinny. The spell gives me velocity of 49 weather I have drum on or not. If I cast Selo's from my spell bar with my drum I get something like 79. BEWARE if you are thinking about getting these on Phinny, they are about SoW speed and do not replace a spell gem if you want to have actual bard speed.

I believe the click effect not working with your drum is by design. I believe this is the way it is for any clicky spell on items.

Even Selo's from my spell bar without my drum is faster than this clicky. Maybe that is because I have IM3.
I just want to let people know that the effect from Composers Greaves is NOT the same as the spell cast from the spell bar, the clicky effect is significantly slower. Composers Greaves effect gives a velocity of 49, which is faster than Spirit of Wolf potions but much slower than if I play a memorized Selo's song with or without a drum.
Just following up with this. Yea I also got a pair of these expecting to cling to them forever like I did back in the old days on live. Huge disappointment!
They absolutely used to get modified by the drum modifier. No idea when they got nerfed, but I very much so regret spending on these now. Posts farther down also make reference to this working with Drums. Guess Selos is back on the gems for the forseeable future.
They work EXACTLY the same as the song does except they have a 1 second cast time.
So its affected by the instrument you are weilding too ? Stupid velious bard legs use to be song of travel without the mod but the Composer BP work with the instrument mod so I am not sure what to think and they worth 80k on the server I would like to make sure the clicky selos will be as fast then the song.
I was hesitant to get these but they are definitely worth it. They work EXACTLY the same as the song does except they have a 1 second cast time. Basically they free up the need for another gem slot which is pretty good at changing the dynamic of the way I play my bard (It seems like I'm always hurting for gem slots and this is a huge boon)
I.E: you click them and in 1 second selos kicks in. It then continues to pulse every 6 seconds until you click another spell gem to shut it off. You don't have to click them every 2.5 mins to keep speed up if you want to run around a zone for a while, as was my concern initially
Actually these are soloable. However it requires being flagged for Solro Tower which is not in everyone's grasp. I got the greave mold this morning off a protector of ro.
A question that keeps coming up that I want answered.. Do instruments affect these click-effect songs? or are they at the strength that the item sets them at?
ornate molds and patterns drop from boss mobs in honor(trial bosses like fregan haun or rydda'dar), bastion (lvl 65 nameds and up), drunder (vallon, tallon, nameds in the pit), and solusek's tower from tower nameds (rizlona, Xuzl, Jiva, etc.) this list isnt comprehensive of course, just places i've personally seen them drop
Just got my Ornate BP mold the other day off of Icestorm in BoT. Now as for asking if it can be done solo? No.... none of the bosses in BoT can be solod. There are two ways to attain these... either do it with one group or a force of about 30. the 1 group method is the way I prefer. limits the amount of people on the raid with you, and the classes there betters your chances at winning the roll. You MUST have 2 CoD chanters, a cleric, druid, shammy and MA. but since I am a bard. I usually take 9 with me. 2 chanters, 1 cleric, 1 shammy, 1 druid, Bard (Me) a MA usually Pally/SK...Wiz, and usually a SA... Just need the chanters there to Charm the giants, and ahve them attack the named, the MA there to take agro once the Chanters charm breaks. But relatively easy, it's all about luck though, just pray both chamrs dot break at the same time.
