the boots effects last up to lvl 48. with lvl 44 set spells. at lvl 49 you get your new spells and the effect no longer works on them.. i would keep them though cuz you still cast spells that are lvl 44 and below..and dont ever think of selling them for Coldain bro.
After last nights patch I noticed that the boots now say that the enhancement haste only works on spells up to level 35. Granted I have only had these for a month or so. Was this a nerf or did I just not notice that at all? I am level 58. These are worthless to me now. I guess I will get some Coldain Skin Boots now.
That has always been the spell effect, just with the new patch they decided to tell you what level the spell effect worked up till. And for christ sake don't sell your EBoots for Coldain Skin.
Don't sell Ebots for coldain skin? I rather have coldain skin than eboots any day, the effect aint worth jack really, and coldain skin has i think 8 wis and 8 int and 30 mana? Well just surprised someone wants these over coldain skin
My level 35 Enchanter got these a while back, and I have found that the enhancement haste effect is usefull when I need to toss out a quick clarity, haste, or rune. These boots are worth their weight in gold! (no pun intended)
i got these boots about 5 levels ago from a really sweet guy who was leaving for Iraq. he was closing out his account and just GAVE them to me! (apparently, i once tp'd & buffed him for free and he wanted to thank me!) ((God bless you where-ever you are!))
anyway, when i reached level 39 i noticed that while i was fighting, i was getting this msg: "you have healed Qeylaani for ## hp" (don't remember specific number now.) i can't, for the life of me, figure out what's doing that! could it be the boots???
Popped the efreeti lord last night with a group of 4, Me a 52 Warrior, 56 Cleric, 51 chanter, and a 48 Drood.....5 kills, no ring, 5 boots....Efreeti Lord is a punk!!!
it took 2 lvl53 war's a 52 shaman, a 47 cleric, a 60 bard, and me the low druid (who planed it) that dinged lvl43 while there and we got all the way there no problem but then the cleric had to log after 2 spawns ohhh ya and the bard left after we cleared the room. so just us 5 could handel the 2 spawns and we even had an add. there were no deaths on the night. woo hoo. but the only hard bart is getting there after that its easy to hold at lest as far as i saw. ill repost after we do it again in a weekend or 2. just my findings i thought that they would help.
I am a wizard and i currently have the coldain skin boots, i perfer 35 mana to 1 int to me is worth about 10 mana. should i switch over to these or keep the coldain skin? they r worth the same on my server so its would be an even trade moeny no option. will the effect work on my lesser evac. i think some said? also will it work on my familiar summoning.. cause thats a buff i think. anyway, what will make my evacs faster? PLEASE R.S.V P

35 mana is worth more than 1 Int, but the enchancement haste effect won't help your evacs because it only works on spells with a duration of 72 seconds or more, and an evac is considered instantaneous.
I don't see any limitation keeping the effect from working with your familiar summoning, though that seems more like a summoning haste effect instead of enchancement haste.
I noticed this a couple days ago as well. Perhaps a little boost along with the Enhancement Haste II to make them competitive with the Coldain Skin Boots. Not that a +1svp mod is much, but it's something.
Depending on your needs, these can still be a good choice over Coldain Skin. As a less-than-40 Shaman, I'd pick these just to get those buffs off faster in order to sit down and med back up sooner on spells you'd be casting anyway. Combined with a Totemic BP (for the Extended Enhancement II) I save a lot of time and mana on recasts. An extra minute or two on a buff could mean the difference between making it to the zone, or having SoW die out and having to start yet another CR.
i think the coldain skin boots are a better buy then these, you only loose 2ac and 1wis and 1int but gain 35mana, im talking about wis casters, and they are about a k cheaper on xev right now, with the addition of the bazaar, just my thoughts on it
I disagree with the post that said you need a enchie for this camp. If your under lvl 55 then you probably might need one and especially if you don't know the area like the back of your hand. Why? Cause I know a 60 monk who takes the camp easily with a 55+ cleric friend of mine every once in awhile. You have to know how to pull in the zone and not aggro everything around you. Have the cleric (or shammy) debuff, root and snare the mobs. Kill them quickly as they are on a 10 min time spawn. I belive I can take this camp with a cleric and a rogue (for the extra damage, me being a 56 warrior) long as you can single pull your way up to efreeti and not aggro everything. Two or three well equiped and experienced people can take this camp without a enchie. Btw I may be a warrior but I wouldn't mind winning a role on these pair of boots, I mean, 3k, come on. But guildies and friends comes first in my book
took this camp with me (52 monk, well dinged 53 after we were there for an hour) a 60 chanter, a 60 druid and another 58 monk. easy camp, only problem was getting there, i was too low and kept agroing stuff from 10 miles away, luckily we had a good chanter and me and the other monk do uber dmg. once we got there, it wasn't a problem tho. having a chanter for crowd control, dispelling DS, slows, and haste, and a druid there for heals and circle of seasons is all you need. the 58 monk was uber, so i wasn't even needed. the irony to that: i was the only one to get eboots =). although we did only spend 3 hours there.
why did a monk get this item? it is kinda heavy for a monk and they should have no need for the wis or int and have boots with more AC on them shouldnt the chanter or drood got them?
Well, consider that the people doing the camp were higher level, I'd have to assume that they wanted the boots to sell. You are correct, 5 AC and 2.5 stone is not an acceptable ratio for a monk.
Well, all I can say is that it's funny that it takes a group of 50'ish lvl characters to get them & they are only good for spell effects up to lvl 44 . Still can't understand EQ. Understand that the INT/WIS is nice, but still....they are an item to be sold/used for lvl 45 spell caster chars & below. Huh.. can't they get some things right? Just my
I started to camp the AC in OOT at lvl41 and i got one drop so thats about 4k. Maybe they didnt entend for it to grop like candy because it is a great item. But im crazy for effects i belive that they save more mana then what you would get by the extra one or 2... but thats just my oppinon. i do plan to get some friends together and run on in and camp it for a while so that we can get some money. Thats just my oppinion though.

Um, what are you talking about? These boots drop off Efreeti Lord Djarn in Nagafen's Lair, they have nothing to do with the Ancient Cyclops in OOT. Are you thinking of Jourenyman's boots or something?
Also, this focus effect doesn't save mana, it just speeds cast time.
If you find yourself in WAY over your head and your group needs out fast, the 15 percent faster cast will make a huge difference in getting your succor spells off.
Succor is a buff-type spell? I'd think it wouldn't be affected by this focus.

Succor spells can be simply thought of as evacuation spells for either yourself or group. Lesser succor ports to a "zone safe point" commonly a zone line or outside city if there is one in that zone. There are also Succor East which evacs to East Karana, Succor Butcher which evacs to Buterblock, etc...
Personally I use http://www.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=12190 <-- this in times of distress. Same cast time as the original spell (I think) and mana free, for you and also your group. Since lesser evac does take group mana too.
P.S. I craft these on Prexus. If you want to buy one I sell them very cheap, for a mere 500p. Give a tell to Finaleena and I'll hook ya up. :-)
I ve see that the effect reduce the casting time of spirit of wolf and scale of wolf. I can see the reduction by clicking right button on spell : There is the normal casting time and my casting time.
i believe it decreases cast time in spells works on all spells that i have tried so far not sure how much faster but i timed my longest spell cast time and it was definitely faster.
Basically it will give a chance on lvl 44 or less enhancement spells (buffs i believe) to cast quicker than normal - makes really good sense since the recommended lvl to attain is like lvl 48 according to here
