Book Text:

This is a continued addendum
to my last book about crafting
weapons of war. It is
important to note that you
need to be proficient in
blacksmithing and fletching in
order to follow the
instructions listed here.

Many of the weapons will need
either a smithy hammer or a
planing tool to start, as well
as the correct plans for what
it is you wish to craft.
Remember that for shields, you
will need to find either
tower, kite, or buckler plans
as well as high impact lacquer
to be able to absorb blows.
Bucklers require only two
velium infused planks, kite
shields three and finally,
tower shields four.

Weapons will simply need the
plans for the weapon you wish
to create. It should be noted
that for weapons such as
clubs, hammers, maces and
picks, you will need rod
plans. While great hammers and
large staves will need, you
guessed it, staff plans.

Daggers, short spears, athames
or wands will need a small
hilt mold while great axes,
spears, war forks and great
swords will need long hilt
molds.

Hammers, clubs, rods, maces,
picks, great hammers, staffs
and bows all need a planing
tool as well as some high
tensile lacquer. The lacquer
will make sure that the
weapons do not fall apart from

the vibrations after
striking.

Swords, axes, anything with an
edge really except for war
hammers, and wands will need a
smithing hammer as well as a
sharpening stone in order to
hone the edge needed to make
clean cuts. On top of those,
they will also need primordial
coal to make sure that the
fire is hot enough to
manipulate the velium.

Bows will require two velium
infused planks, a half-moon
cut velium diamond, and a
shimmering steel bowstring.
However, the compound bow
requires a square cut velium
diamond while the longbow
requires a total of two half-
moon cut velium diamonds.

The lumber you will require
for weapons is simple. You
need three velium infused
planks for staves and great
hammers. The war forks, rods,
maces, clubs, and picks simply
just need one piece.

The metallurgy required for
everything else will depend on
the size of the items. For
instance, daggers, spears, war
forks, katars, athames, and
wands require only one piece
of velium sheet metal.
Anything larger with an edge
will need two pieces of velium
sheet metal, with the
exception of great swords,
great axes, and spears which
need four.

Hammers need 1 piece of raw
veliuum ore!

Now, the correct placement and
cut of velium diamonds is
crucial for the final steps of
these weapons. One slip up
here can mean disaster the
moment you strike something
with it. I have taken the
liberty to sort it out in an
easy to understand method
below:

Marquise cut velium diamonds
are used for war axes, war
hammers and great swords.

Half-moon cut velium diamonds
are used for scimitars, wands,
katars, spears, rods, battle

staves and daggers. The only
exception here is that you
need two of these for the
athame.

Trillion cut velium diamonds
are used for katars, spears,
rods, staves, war forks,
maces. With the exception of
an axe which requires two
instead of just one.

Oval cut velium diamonds are
essential for war hammers,
great swords, war forks,
maces, staves, picks,
scimitars and wands. Great
hammers and normal hammers
require two instead of simply
one.
Round cut velium diamonds are
a bit unique in the sense that
clubs, arcane staves, and
short spears require two.

However, picks require only
one.
Two pear cut velium diamonds
are required for great axes
and daggers, but not injection
daggers. This is important as
injection daggers have more
intricate hardware and require
instead, Shissar poison and
purified clay.

Square cut velium diamonds are
rare to come by, but if you
do, you will discover that you
will need one for a war ax and
two for a sword.

That covers everything I can
teach you about crafting
weapons using velium. Good
luck and, I cannot stress this
enough, stay safe when
manipulating these materials.
