This book explains how to make Verdant Clockwork ornaments using Gnomework Adaptive Plating.
Book Text:

Revenge on the Fallen:

Those evil gnomes.
They forced us to this vile
place then had the gall to say
they didn't bring us here.

Well. We got our revenge, but
they got the last twist of the
knife. We are stuck here to
starve.

I can't leave it at that.
They think they are so clever,
but I've figured what to do
with the creations they left.
Sure, what I make is
ornamental, but it's fitting
to wear their creations as
fancy clothing.

Yes. I figured out their
clockwork monstrosities.

You will find some plating on
the various clockworks that is
adaptive. In the end you will
need a significant amount, but
that means you are destroying
more of the blighted machines.

The fist step is to adapt this
adaptive plating to your
needs. For plate armor, simply
heat the metal then quench it
in water. For chain, use
pliers to peal it apart and
form rings. To make cloth,
hammer it flat and then use
the plier to move the
adjustment plates so you have
a flexible steel.

You may say I left off
leather. This material is
least suited to leather, but
you can do a form of studded
leather with it. To make the

studs, hammer the individual
adaptive nodes apart.

To make the final ornamental
pieces, you will use a micro
gear and sprocket pack to join
the parts together with a mana
battery:

Wrist: Class one and one part
Hands: Class five and two
Parts
Feet: Class two and three
parts
Head: Class three and four
parts
Arms: Class three and five
parts
Legs: Class four and six parts
Chest: Class three and seven
parts
Robe: Class four and eight
parts

Since we don't have leather
parts, you will attach studs
to basic leather armor, in the
same ratio as above.

When you right click the book, you get the following message in your chat window:

The writing appears to be in Orcish, you begin to read.

Since my Orcish language skill is 100, I can't tell whether you need that language skill to read the tome or not. If you can't read it, of course you can still come here to Alla's for the information. Smiley: smile
