Classes: The Druid

Druids - a powerful outdoor class. With the triple ability to heal, inflict direct damage and cast damage over time, druids are a popular solo class, as well as popular in a group. They are also a travelling class, given both sow and teleportation abilities.

How should you play your druid to make the best use of his abilities? What are the best solo strategies? How should the druid be played within a group? What spells are the most and least useful? What skills should you develop?

Post your strategies on how to best play and develop the Druid and read, rate and comment on what others have to say.

And I could use some ideas where a 55 Druid should be hunting. I can quad, rot and charm solo pretty well, I just need a few idea where to hunt. I looked over some of the threads and they are a bit old and I think the con system changed since I left.

SO from 55 up where should I be?

For quad (or even quid) kiting, you still can't beat the swabbies and pirates in the NE corner of Timorous Deep. There are some in the middle of the zone as well (with a nice pp drop off the one named pirate). These are on the sunken ships and you can either pull to the island just south of the ships or practice your under water kiting (breathing spell required; a much more difficult skill than kiting on land). If you like charming, you can always pull a rockhopper from the islands further south to either location.
You should also be able to work the front portion of Acrylia Caverns at your level if you prefer a hot zone.
Another inside zone but Old Sibillis has some great drops and great experience.

There are dozens of zones to choose from but I really got a lot out of the three above when I was in my late 50s.
