Classes: The Druid

Druids - a powerful outdoor class. With the triple ability to heal, inflict direct damage and cast damage over time, druids are a popular solo class, as well as popular in a group. They are also a travelling class, given both sow and teleportation abilities.

How should you play your druid to make the best use of his abilities? What are the best solo strategies? How should the druid be played within a group? What spells are the most and least useful? What skills should you develop?

Fellow druids, our new spell cloudburt hail is bugged and we need to /bug it till it's fixed. In the past every ice rain nuke like this has been chainable giving us a decent amount of damage output. Pre 71 I chained tempest wind and winter's storm (1168 & 850) well once I got the 71 spell I was looking forward to chaining cloudburst and tempest for 1460 and 1168 but found that they share a recast. Neither greys out like if they truely shared a recast, nor do I get a "you haven't recovered yet" message, but I simply cannot cast one till the other is up. I can however chain cloudburst and winter's for a <300 point upgrade per wave where cloudburst and tempest would be around 600 per wave.
It's a nice spell and crits are in the 3k+ range, but I would like to see it cast right with tempest. Also you will notice it's extremely hard to cast at first. The skill cap increases (and extremely high skill requirement for lvl 71 spells) made it seem like I had been powereleveled for the past 20 levels the first 800 times I tried to cast it. Anyway good luck, please /bug as neccessary.

I have been away from the game for a couple of years and just came back. I attended a public Time raid last week and I noticed that the same situation is occuring with the unlimited target AE spells (Tremor, Earthquake, Earthshiver), during one of my favorite parts, the beginning of phase 5. The highest level spell I have in that line is level 66 Earthshiver, which came out with OoW (I stopped playing shortly after that expansion was released). Has it been bugged that long? Or has it only been since the TSS release?
