Classes: The Shadowknight

Shadowknights - The evil warriors. A combination of fighter and necromancer, the shadowknight is a complex class to develop and play correctly.

What is the best strategy to develop and play your shadowknight? Can the shadowknight solo, and if so how? How should you play a shadowknight in a group? What skills and spells are the most and least useful for the shadowknight? What items should you be seeking for your shadowknight?

Post your strategies on how to best play and develop the Shadowknight and read, rate and comment on what others have to say

DUEL HELP against a Shaman

I (80SK 24K hp 2500 ac unbuffed) was arguing with a friend of mine (82 Shaman 17K hp 2200 ac unbuffed) about which of the two of us would win in a duel. I am almost positive that I could win and I have my strategy all set but was wondering if there is anything I should add.
In order of what I will do

Use Bioluminescent Globe to blind
Snare
Send in Pet
Run up and Attack
Use my send in 3 pet aa (forget name of it)
HT
Lifetap and DoT like Crazy
If need Leech Touch
If Snared/Rooted Shadowstep closer to melee
Use 2.0 clicky for Melee LifeTap

Rules for Duel: No Mercs, pre-buff, pets allowed, no one else can get involved, winner takes 10K.

If there is any advice I would gladly take it.
Thanks

While I know this is an old thread, I would use your HT and Leach touch as a finisher. You do it to early and he'll just heal through it. He's going to slow you also, so make sure you aren't using epic or LT disc before you get that dispelled/cure. Not sure if the Disease cure will take of the shaman slow or not. You should be able to beat him in a duel but just don't go all in right off the bat because he's just going to heal through it. Start to work his hp down then turn it on to make it harder to heal through. Also while you may be able to snare him, he'll be rooting you, most likely root, move, heal up, then dot you.
