just for the record to all the people saying euro's have the highest starting int. look again DE is one point higher lolDE 109,euro 108,just re rolled my 51 sk last night and was looking at all the stats for races,the facts are that while ogre's and trolls are both very strong and have many HP ,when it comes down to it your int you start the game with determines how much mana ya get with every lvl up SO a lvl 60 DE sk will have A lot more mana than a lvl 60 ogre(all the int gear in the world wont save you from your lacking int when ya get to higher lvls
) remember it is the starting int that matters on getting mana when ya lvl,and mana is very important to sk's as we all know mana is HP to us.NOw not to say ogre and trolls don't make kick a@@ sk's, just saying don't knock the dark elves because of their low str/sta,cause yes while you might have a few more hp,the dark elf will be standing there casting spears for 800 damage while your oom.i think the spears alone help the DE compensate for their smaller frames.

my bad thanx for the correction =/ lol still i have to say as far as the shadowknight class goes, i have played both Ogre sk and DE sk ,the main thing i noticed was the ogre did a better job of tanking (wich is the sk's bread and butter) ,but the dark elves on the other hand while not having the HP to tank quite as well ,had the mana to throw a lot more spears to outdamage the mighty Ogre

Ok so darelfs and gnomes are definetly NOT SK material because you need balanced magic casting capabilitys and tankage stats. if you want to be a DE or gnome go with necromancer or just suck at tanking not my problem.Personnaly i like iksars and humnas cause they are perfect stat balancers with decent intellegence and tanking stats they are definetly good for SK class.I like iksars more tho cause they kinda look cooler and have the regen(sucks cause they got xp penalty tho) its all good tho. yah and ogres have to much strength and to much stam not enough intellegence or agility/dex.trolls are a little better than ogres for class because they have regen and stats are only a little worse(some better) plus you can only have 255 strength/stamina untill you decide to work on AAs i think level 63 is when yuo get planar power.All this is in my opinion just trying to help ya out bro since some peeps confusing you

I dont know if this was already covers but...

My 66sk is Iksar...(by this lvl race wont effect your gear, or not enough to care)
you can get everything that other races have thru aa...however the added regen(which trolls have too) is very very nice...the more the marrier especialy since you will probably be using pact of hate or better self mana regen buff. Hp regen on gear is common but natrual regen is just nice for ppl who dont have the best gear or just want more hp regen. The thing that ive seen makes the biggest difference is the Natural AC that iksars have.
So...that means you will have more ac than another Sk of any race other race with the same gear and buffs? Damn that is nice. PLus youll hit the soft cap faster and start focusing on avoidence and hp more than ac.

Only downside is that Iksar Helm's look kinda lame...and so do there heads.
