There are several locations where the tomes can be found, but in general, the easiest places are right near the Berzerker guild masters (in your home town or in PoK).

what lvl they are????
Disciplines are like spells in that each one has a level that it can be learned at (or above). However there are distinct differences. With spells you have to scribe

what skills are there????
Just as an example...
At level 1 you get (and start the game with, in your inventory) "Corroded Axe", which allows you to create 20 throwing axes out of "basic axe components" (sold by the tomes venders)

At level 5 you can purchase and turn in "Blunt Axe", an upgrade to "Corroded Axe" which also requires "basic axe components"

At level 8 you can purchase and turn in "Leg Chop", which has a snare-like effect on your target

...There are many more, but you get the idea I'm sure Smiley: yippee

You buy the tomes from the tome vender and then give it to your GM. Then, open up your combat abilities window, click on your new ability, create a hot button and away you go.

I highly recomend the tutorial for all new characters, even if you don't need a tutorial for these reasons:
1]You get a charm that when maxed out (after you take all tutorials) boosts almost all stats.
2]You can collect silks which are incredibly easy to accumulate and get all kinds of cloth armor from armor tutor.
3]You get a free backpack and necklace (which i believe doubles as a light source?) from the merchant tutor
4]The weapons tutor sharpens your weapon 3 times, once for free, a second time with a chunk of bronze, and a third with a chunk of iron. You get the metals off the kobold in the mines.
5]The tradeskill tutor is an excellent source of food and baking points. Ask him "what rat steaks" and he gives you rat meat and kobold cooking sauce. Ask him this about 40-60 times and he will give you the ingredients every time. Go to the stove and cook away. You now have 40-60 rat steaks(+5HP)and a 15 in your cooking skill (all ready to make goo!!)
6]the buffs and spells tutor gives you a first level spell. he does this even for hybrids (my BST got salve).
7]if your not a magic user the combat abilities tutor will give you your first ability (my Beserker got throw stones, an excelent pull)
8]Go kill some spiders, rats, and kobolds in the mines and before you know it you are a level 5 and ready to take that newbie armor quest head on!!

yes, it is to late to join the tutorial... i think you can join upto lvl 10.... you could still join by rerolling your PPL... after all you are only lvl 23.. which is a matter of only a few hours... if you do the tutorial and leave at lvl 5 hit FOB/ kurns / then PC you could be lvl 27 by and end of the weekend...
i just rolled a zerker. and in 3 hours he is lvl 10. plus if you are like me.. you didnt really know what yous should put your roll points into when you first started.. now you know your reroll would be better now
