June 30, 1999: Whew. Every time I start to think I have to have most of the information listed, someone sends in a bunch of new stuff. Several people sent me in parts of the new postal quest that was just added, but Washoo managed to compile most of the quest. It's a big one and actually gives a decent reward. Look under AK'Anon for the full details. I have also compiled a zone level chart that lists which zones are suitable for certain levels. I tried to take into account that while your level 10 character could certainly wander around Southern Karana and kill the occasional wolf, that's not really his zone, and similarly, while you could go kill giants in Western Karana at level 30, the zone is really for much lower levels. That said, I could well be off on some, especially several of the higher zones. If there are any major corrections, please e-mail me. June 28, 1999: Lots of updates today. I have started a weekly poll, as you can see above. For the first one I have kept it fairly simple. Just vote for your favorite class. May the best class win (well most popular anyway). Don't forget to visit my Science Fiction and Fantasy Book List. I must have several hundred great books listed there at this point (yeah I really did read all of them). My next step with the list is to start listing suggestions from you of books I haven't read, so feel free to send me suggestions (only include books that are in print). Some really nice updates today. First off, Lulen sent me an incredible weapons chart. He put in a lot of work, and it really shows. Check it out, but be warned that it is a very big file. Also, Doriath sent me a lot of new updates, so there are many new items in the equipment list. Finally, I have updated the book list again with a number of new authors and books. It was getting too big for one page, so I have broken it down into several pages. I also added a new top ten list of popular books based upon the click throughs and purchases sent to me by amazon.com. The poll is still going if you haven't voted on your favorite book series.

June 21, 1999: I feel really stupid. People have been sending me item graphics for weeks, and I just figured out what to do with them. I didn't want to alter the table format to include graphics, because I liked the way you can look at all of the items and figure out what you want to shoot for next. I have now added a link from each individual item in the table to a page containing the graphic for that item (where I have one) so that you can see exactly what it looks like. This should give us the best of both worlds. Unfortunately, I deleted many of the graphics sent to me over the past weeks. If you sent me one and it is not in the tables, please re-send it. [ /e slaps himself on the forehead].
There are far too many Wheel of Time fans out there. At almost 600 votes, it is close to overtaking Lord of the Rings as the top book series. And where are all you Dragonlance fans? Cast your vote Here .

I have been with Gamestats for a little over 2 months now, and haven't really had the chance to check out many of the other affiliate pages until recently. There are some really nice ones, covering just about every decent game out there. I would urge you to check them out if you find yourself wishing to stray from EQ once in a while (unlikely as that is). June 14, 1999: Wow. I am amazed at the responses to the book list. More messages have been posted there over the weekend than on the EQ message board. After reading through the many good suggestions, I have updated the list to add even more of my favorites. I have tried to only list books that are in print and thus available. Many of the additions are science fiction, since I realized I was heavy on the fantasy with the first list. There are still plenty missing, but because I have to add a new code for each book, it takes a while to add the books. I will keep on updating it over the next few weeks, and I hope to add a section with your suggestions of books that I have not yet read. Be patient. I only have so much time. I changed around my top 10 a little as well.
The site has reached a milestone of sorts. It went over 250,000 visitors over the weekend. Amazing for something I threw up on a whim a few months ago. I have plenty of updates today. I have repositioned Everlore in my general links section to highly recommended. They have done a lot with that site lately, and have added a great beastiary. Check it out. June 11, 1999: OK. You're going to have to indulge me on this one. I have read a lot of fantasy and science fiction books over the years, and I decided it would be cool to put together a list of books I recommend. So I went over to amazon.com and signed up for their affiliate program and started to put together my list. Whew! I didn't realize how many books I have really read. I think I have well over 100 books listed, and the list really barely covers the best of the best. There are many fine novels that should be on there that I haven't even thought of yet. I keep going through their site and going "oh yeah that was a great one." Nonetheless, I am putting up what I have, and I will continue to add to it. There is now a link to the left to the book selection. You can choose the books listed there, and you can also use amazon.com's search engine to find other books and items. If you like my suggestions and want to purchase any of the books, please follow the link to amazon.com and buy it there. It's not worth much, but I do get a small kickback from them. Thanks to those of you who pointed out that you can toggle the roleplay switch. Guess you people really do read that thought for the day :) I rearranged the weapons so those that have the same damage stats would be arranged by delay, slowest to fastest. It should generally make the lists ordered from worst weapon to best weapon. I also added a number of new weapons. I knew about it, but because I know how much work goes into putting together this type of information, I am not willing to just go to another site and copy their data here. However, in this case, I have decided I will not be able to do as good a job as he did, and don't see the need to duplicate his efforts. Brett is working hard on getting everything organized and needs your input. It should be nice to be able to check on the day to day happenings of your server. June 1, 1999: I hope everyone had a good weekend playing Everquest. I'm hoping within the next few days to add a major update to the site. A very nicely thought out site called Ever Event should soon become affiliated with this page. It will list news and events for each server, along with a calendar for you to track the events. The web master there is working hard to make it the best place to go to figure out what is happening everywhere in the game. I've felt guilty in the past for not being able to post the event announcements sent to me by various people, so now Ever Event will announce your event, plot it out and follow up on it with information and screenshots on how it went. Best of all, you won't have to update your bookmarks, since it will be integrated into this site. If you have event announcements you want added, feel free to e-mail me here and I'll pass them along. There will be a separate e-mail for events once Ever Event gets added.
