This gnome stands at the enterance to plane of time ,
he is not involved in any quests , and just encourages you to zone into the time projection chamber

This mob is NOT in Plane of Time. He spawns in Plane of Innovation when you talk to Chronometrist Muon after completing your Time key (combine the items from the 4 elemental gods into Quintessence of the Elements). Muon transports you to a PoTime-like area in PoInnovation where you talk to Maelin and enter PoTime thru his portal.
Saw her on track in PoI, was lvl 65. She disappeared little while after.
All Gnomes are considered to be gods with the lesser races measurements... Hence I am a God.
Ok you already said that hes is the Guy from the library in PoK. God of knowledge, yadda yadda, we get all that, but what is the significance of his prescense in the plane of time?

isn't there a new EQ server... maelin starfyre? yeah, that sounds right. but yeah.. is this that same Maelin? anyone who knows some lore about this person (thing?) it would help
Maelin Starpyre (yes with a P) is the current grand librarian of Myrist and thus could be considered the god of knowledge. He is the guy who guides you through the planes of power and is the guy who creates the planar projections that give you character flags for the next planes. Maelin wants to help you for two reasons:
A. If you fail, the universe is destroyed
B. Your adventures will make a great book to put in the library. :)
