This mob dropped Spectral parchments Long ago when PoP first came out. It was nerfed when they made the spectral parchments drop mainly from the tier 2 and higher zones. I have looted a couple spectrals from him but havent seen him drop any recently. This mob is easy to duo. I use my 65 shaman and my 65 cleric. Pacification on mobs near by. Pull with Malos/Slow....DOt with BoS/BoN/Eb/epic(free mana) and have cleric send in little hammer pet. Then just Ch shaman at 40%. I do have 5500 hps buffed so that helps out alot. Hope the info helps. Luck in Battle All.

Spectral?

I've done these things for hours on end for several weeks and NEVER seen a single spectral parchment drop. LOTS of ethereal parchments, but never a spectral.

Can anyone verify if they have ever seen a spectral off these guys? It must be something new in the past week or so since it surely hasnt been dropping them at all for my groups.

This is a fun camp but can be tough on your puller. Monk or SK pullers preferred as necros are a bit soft for FD. The best camp is near the tree at the end of the river, near the Starlihugs. Have your puller clear all the creepers leading to these guys, single pulling if possible. The creepers are a good warm up as they are pretty much the same kind of thing, but a bit weaker. Beware of some spider traps between camp and consorts as well which can spring 3 to 4 of the normal zone style spiders.

These slow very easily, just have your slower tash/malosini first, then land the slow. They will occasionally proc FD on your slower or tank, so be sure you tell your group that they need to hit sit/stand the moment they go FD. Experience is pretty good with most folks seeing about 3/4 to a full blue AA experience per pull. Between the consorts and creepers, they drop ethereal parchments like no tomorrow and the consorts occasionally drop some INT gear for silk casters. They are generally NOT rootable or snareable. They do enrage.

They have not dropped specs for some time now. It was nerfed sometime around the end of December IIRC.

Our group just took down this mob and A Fiendish Consort. Did it with me 55 Shaman, 61 Shadow Knight, 58 Cleric, 58 Monk, 57 Mage, 58 Ranger. These Spiders hit for around 1000 total and rampage. I was able to land Malosi fairly easily and Turgur's insect's right after. Cleric had to start casting CH when the spider entered our camp on the SK. The Fiendish Consort dropped a Black Silk Shirt, simular stats as the Trousers with a little more AC. The Infernal Consort dropped the trousers.

Can this mob be snared/rooted?

Also, does it "summon"?

...curious if it can be killed using root/dot technique.

Thanks!
