We, 2 beastlords lvl 17, camped the loda kai tents to get them to spawn. Most were red but a few yellows popped. Drops were charred axe and charred broadsword.
I don't know about a spell that hits for 20 points.
I got slammed for 356 and a couple for 250. There is 6 across enterance, they can be pulled in pairs and all con DB to 51 Nec.
Easily split but waled on my pet and can easily take out my pet with pact of shadow pumping him but root and dot work fine.
Mobs are as follows from left to right: Sentry, Caller w/pet Janyn (or something, Boss mob cant be rooted or snared) underconned to the max, sentry, guardian
Pull far right guardian pulls a sentry split and handled. Got a bit too clode and caller slams for 351 but no agro. Back up and think and heal. Pulled boss with a dot, all 4 mobs rushed try to root boss no luck, FD handled split fine, just boss now. Hits for well over 100 close to 150. My V was a lifesaver. Handled pet without a scratch 4 dots working and resisted darkness.
I must be real lucky then back when i was lvl 30ish i killed one of these guys and looted a charred axe.. dont remember the stats and just sold it last week in the bazaar cheap so maybe i will find another one and be able to place a better post then.
Iv spent endless hours camping all over the zone for these suckers but no luck with the Charred Scimitar.....anyone know what the scimitars spawn rate is?
I have been camping the tough side of Shadeweavers for some time to get a Charred scimitar (no luck to date). However I have discovered how to make corpses spawn. The key is to start killing Ash beetles and Firefall saureks. As soon as you start killing these two mobs the zone will suddenly start filling with the corpses. However if you kill all the corpses and not any of the others the spawn of corpses will drop to a trickle or stop all together. I saw a 24 hour period where they did not spawn at all when I cleared them from the zone.
At 22, my bard can solo these, but one at a time only. If you can get some kind of a buff to your Fire Resist (heat resist) it helps a lot in reducing the amount of damage you take from the fire spell attack.
Aside from that proc they are not too tough for their level. I like to go through the tunnels to the SouthWest corner of the "hard" side of the zone. Less chance of an add and the mob paths are fairly predictable.
These guys are creepy, someone trained one onto my 6 BST and it said something about cooooooold fleeeeeeesh to stop the burning. Then when it killed me (some fraction of a second later) it says no it still burns. Bleh.
These spawn on the far side of the zone. They cast a fire spell which can do some nasty damage if you are not prepared. If they are holding a weapon, they usually drop it and you can usually identify what weapon it is. So far I have gotten a Sharpened Wooden Spear, a Charred Battle Axe, a Charred Short Sword, and a Charred Claymore, but no scimitar which is what I really want. They still con dark blue to light blue to my 27th level beastlord, so I still get experience for them. They are quite aggressive and will come to the aid of other corpses, so be careful and pull away from the main areas.
