This guy is NOT located down the ladder if you take the first right at the 3 paths. You need to go STRAIGHT when you get to the three paths, then follow that path and take your FIRST right to find this guy. You will have to go through a tiny opening to get to him and THEN down a small ladder.
Again, he is not to the right of the 3 paths. Go straight first and THEN take your first right.
edit: I think the confusion is because there are really TWO 3 path intersections you have to go through. When you first enter the mine area there are 3 paths and you need to take the middle one, and THEN you will come to another 3 path intersection where you take the right one, then follow the path and you will run into Ungdin. Some of the directions weren't clear on which 3 way path to go right on.

Pulled him out of caves, losing badly, at 41 ranger, guard started to attack me as well, no faction listed on this one but must have some with coldain, had to zone
This kid took down me 40th Season Paly once and then would have again (decided to zone the second time). I will exact revenge on this feller!!!
Haha, I love reading my old posts, ran across this one while I was making a velium gate potion so I poped across town and taught this guy a lesson for beating me up last year.

Anyone know the respawn time on this guy? I was in the caves and he wasn't up. Post if you know.
This guy's in the mines down the ladder to the right as you enter. He's a MASSIVE undercon too. My 42nd ranger couldn't get any spells to stick on him, and he could cast through massive ammounts of damage to get alot of heavy hitting wraths off. Bring friends if you're gonna beat on this one.
It is ok that those that try to kill a quest NPC that others need get smacked a lot .

The ladder at the right when you enter leads elsewhere. You actually have to take the corridor in front of you.
