Skeletons not popping

Hail taskmaster, he despawns, wayfarers attack, we kill them all then nothing.

Taskmaster respawns with all the wayfarers

What am I doing wrong?

Have consistently been able to do this fight with around 2 groups. First round of adds was mezzable/stunable while second wave was not. However, one aoe mez and one can kite them around indefinitely. They do however summon.

Fight isn't too hard and taskmaster doesn't hit all that hard. Just dealing with the adds is the reason it seems to require more than a group. Some of the adds do hit quite hard as well (at least on cloth/leather).

Me and My Merc - Level 80
# Aug 01 2009 at 1:42 PM Rating: Decent
Solo'd with J4 Healer Merc today on Quellious.

*My Stats* (Self-Buffed Only)
-------------------
Level 80 Cleric
1,275 AA
HP: 24,238
Mana: 21,698
AC: 3,288
ATK: 1,850 (w/o Yaulp)

T3 SoD Visible Armor
T3/T4 SoD Non-Visible Armor

-------------------

I tried it once with a tank merc, but she went down fast. Next I tried with the healer merc. I kept her on Passive until the second wave started, then switched her to Reactive. She off-tanked nicely (better than the tank merc did).

I used Vow, Ward, Yaulp, Stuns for the first round, regular Pet and the AA Pet (no damage spells except for Turn Undead AA and the AE stun in the first round).

At the end of the first wave I popped Divine Avatar to be ready for Mirot. I focused on Mirot until I got him down to alittle below 50%, then I switched over to the skellies and killed them one by one so they wouldn't heal him anymore. By the time I switched to the skellies, they were all pretty beat-up from my Ward. Then, lastly, I burned Mirot the rest of the way down.

The only heals I used were Eleventh-Hour (for when I dropped below 35% health) and Promised Restoration (I made sure this was going at all time, just in case). The merc took care of the rest. I Didn't need to use any DA's, but just in case I had Divine Custody, Divine Destiny, my AA Bestow Divine Aura (they are all on seperate timers), plus my Divine Hammer of Consternation ready.

Took a while, but was fun. The mobs from the first wave started spawning again by the time I was done, but they don't attack on re-spawn.

Good hunting!

Just did this with a 3 box--79 BST 630 AA's (tank Merc), 77 DRU 410 AA's(Tank Merc), 71 CLR minimal AA's (Healer Merc).

Finally got it on 3rd try.

Used BST ( marked as puller and Main Assist) to pull Mirot. everyone piled on Mirot then cleaned up skellys.

Went smooth, only lost 1 merc tanc
Killed tonight with one group.
# Jan 14 2009 at 8:50 PM Rating: Decent
Did this tonight with an 85 necormancer, 76 magician, 71 shadowknight with 71 enchanter box, 71 cleric and an 85 cleric merc. The necro concentrated on mirot and by the time all the rest of us had killed two of the skeletons he had finished off mirot. I think it would have gone smoother if we had just burned Mirot down straight up.
The mage died just before mirot did and we finished the rest of the fight with no problems. I think lots of dps is really the key to this fight now.
Taskmaster Mirot and friends

I just did this fight for my Cleric alt, winning on the third try with the following:
Group one
71 Magician with boxed 68 Enchanter
77 Beastlord (me) and boxed 73 Cleric with Healer merc
Group two
74 Ranger with Healer merc
75 Paladin with Tank merc (on Assist stance to not break mezzes)
78 Beastlord
Most characters had lowish AA count, highest was me with 900ish AA's, and our gear was mostly group/bazaar stuff.

The first wave was trivial for us. We pulled the Wayfarers a short distance from their camp, and slaughtered them good.

The second wave (skeletons) spawned in the camp immediately when the last Wayfarer died -- NOT a minute or two later as stated elsewhere. All the skeletons and the Taskmaster are indeed aggro-linked, so forget about trying to Pacify anything. Our strategy was to simply DPS Taskmaster Mirot as fast as possible, while the Enchanter mezzed the mezzable skellies (I think there were three mezzable ones).

On the first try we wiped miserably. On our second attempt we died with Taskmaster at 3% (argh!), but by then we knew what we were doing and the third try was a solid win. We used the Infusion vet AA on the last try which seemed to help resist the FD proc. Taskmaster died fairly quickly that time (maybe 90 seconds), and then we mopped up the skellies. A few of us died, but I had bound my cleric a short distance away so recovery was a cinch.

My suggestion for anyone doing the fight is to try and try again. Since you can restart the event right away, it's easy to try different approaches and adjust your methods accordingly. Choose a spot to pull to, and bind your Cleric out of aggro range of both the Wayfarer camp and your kill spot.

The skeletons will Complete Heal during the fight, so you will either have to outpace their heals with your DPS, run the skellies out of mana, or deal with them first. I don't recommend doing the skellies first though, as you'll have to put up with Taskmaster Mirot's annoying FD proc as long as he's alive.

I would estimate Taskmaster Mirot's HP at less than 100k, probably closer to 75K but hard to tell with all those skellies healing him. He resisted my disease and poison dots every time, as well as my magic-based slow. My cold nuke landed most of the time. He AE Rampaged (Wild Rampage) about 5 or 6 times per minute. His DPS on our tanks was around 200-250, and max hit (on casters) was 800.

It's important to know that if either the first or second wave goes more than a few minutes without aggro, they will despawn and the event will reset -- so be prepared to engage the second wave pretty much right away. If the second wave doesn't spawn instantly after the first, you missed a Wayfarer or two on the pull so check the huts and pull them fast.

The trickiest part of the fight is the FD proc and tanks losing aggro due to it. Make sure your force is aware of this and be ready to stand up and reengage when it hits.

Good luck!

just did this fight for a guildie. we had an 80 mage, 78 cleric, 75 SK maintank with his 75 shammy box, a 75 bard (myself) and a 65 chanter, and a 66 druid outside the group.
first wave is very easy, have the cleric cast divine aura, hail the wayfarers and run back to the group. the shammy had lingering sloth on all of us, and the SK tank stood at the front of the group and AE taunted. the wayfarers are simple.
wave 2 wasn't much more difficult, we had the SK pull the group of mobs plus Mirot. the chanter and myself singled out the white skellies and began mezzing them. after about 20 seconds of mezzing targets, i singled out Mirot and clicked my own 1.5, and hit some DPS buttons. the SK didn't drop below 30% the entire time with the two healing him, while myself and the mage burned Mirot down. he was getting healed a bit by his cleric minions but they couldn't keep up with our DPS.
the entire fight took about 6 minutes - right as we began the pull the server claimed it was shutting down in 9 minutes, and we killed the last minion with 2 minutes left and looted the chest.

advice would be, have everyone bind Ctrl+S to Sit/Stand if it isn't already default. and use third person view during the fight to see when you're feigned from the AE. don't bother kiting, just bring some DPS along and be sure to kill Mirot quickly before everyone runs out of mana. you can even let the raid wipe after he dies, and run back and loot his corpse - the minions return to their camp and stand in a circle.

it wasn't easy, but I managed to 2box this yesterday with a lvl 80 tss/early solt geared warrior and my lvl 73 cleric box, on my third try.

I got the target of the taskmaster and ran back out behind the tents to do the hail and spawn the event without agro on my cleric, then pulled the first wave with the warrior. I didn't use any discs, just vortex rk3 for the ae agro, and that combined with rune procs was enough to hold all the mobs against heal agro. I worked through the first wave relatively easily each time without any problems using just promised renewal to heal, the medded to full for the second wave.

I pulled with the warrior again for the second wave, using final stand, and decided to try killing the adds, but that didn't go to well and I wiped. On the second try I decided to try burning the boss down and used all my offensive discs, and I think I probably could have killed him, but somehow my cleric resisted the fd when I didn't, and got owned at 52% hp on the boss.

Third try, I pulled them all again using final stand, and focused on the boss.I got the boss to around 40% when he ae ramped twice in a row, giving my cleric low hp agro to be summoned and killed. With my guild raids starting in less then five minutes, I knew that this was my last chance to win it. As soon as the cleric went down I switched from my duel wield set since I no longer needed the rune proc for agro, and used my Bloodstained Ak-Daal Blade along with furious and hoped for the best. By the time furious wore off, the boss was at 12% hp, and I was down to 9%. Knowing that I wouldn't win in just a straight up melee against him and the 6 adds I still had on me, I started up brutal onslaught, clicked opportunistic strike, and pulled off a 38k hit, killing the boss. I was at 1% hp when he died and was quickly killed by the adds after, but he was dead and all that was left was to run my cleric back to loot the note. the only heals I used on the second wave were promised renewal, HoT, and the occasional AHL when needed, as the fd proc went off to often to use CH.

This fight is 2boxxable, but I definately would recommend 3-4 people still.
Ugh

Failed this event with a group of 5 level 80's, 2 wizards, shaman, cleric, warrior. Nearly impossible without a mezzer, I'm thinking. The AE FD wipes aggro and the 7 mobs run around killing all the casters. We're "decently" equipped at around 16000 hp and 18k mana each (tank at 21k hp 3k ac). Seems to be immune to fire magic. Going to try to zerg him with ice spells and ignore the skeletons, will tell ya how it goes!

Failed that way, too. HOWEVER I got a group from a guild out there to join me and we took it down. Was still a tough fight with 11 of us, 75+ (only one death though).

Failed this event w/ a pet group. Killed first wave, killed 2 of second wave, but wiped...

As we wiped, another guild came in, two groups for the same event. We joined up, helped them.

After 1st successful event... 5 minutes later they repopped and we did for me.

Respawn time IS NOT 2hr.
Mirot AE unresistable now
# Apr 29 2006 at 12:03 PM Rating: Decent
My guild just did this fight last night, and we found out that his AE is now Unresistable. We tried it two times. First time I had Infusion of the Faithful on, and the 2nd time I had just Circle of Season and a Cold Resist buff. Was hit by the AE on both occassions.

We did this event with 12 people; 3 shaman, 1 Beastlord, 2 Cleric, 1 Conk, 1 Magician, 1 Warrior, 1 Paladin, 1 Enchanter 1 Necromancer.

Beastlord, Shaman, Cleric were GoD/anguish geared.
Paladin & Enchanter were time geared
Rest were lesser geared bazaar sorts.

Just wanted to put a quick note here for any clerics that are about to do this. We took this guy out first time last night with 30 non-ep folks. For the second wave, we had 4 white skellies (mezzable) spawn with only 2 brown skellies that needed to be offtanked. The heals that the brown skellies threw on Mirot were hardly nothing at all.

My suggestion is just to mezz the whites and have offtanks simply occupy the browns. Then have the main raid force burn Taskmaster Mirot down. With as involved as this fight seems to be, he dies fairly quickly. It will take longer to go through and kill all the skellies one by one than to kill Mirot himself.

You will need to be fairly quick to engage the second wave. You can easily use a rogue, eye or have someone fd in camp to pretarget. If the event despawns on ya, it actually takes something like 2 or 3 minutes to respawn. If you have any questions, feel free to send a tell to me, Lylyan, on The Nameless server. Good luck!

Here is a post I made for my guild awhile back.

Most likely have to have a couple of enchanters and/or bards for CC. At least 4 tanks, but more is better. At least 4 healers and a couple of slowers (non-CC like shaman, beastlord or extra enchanters).

Resists to buff: MR <- VERY important for melee dps to have 200+ MR if you are low on healers

Setup: Make sure Taskmaster Mirot is up in Lfay. He is in the old orc camp closest to the LDoN entrances around 0, 3500. If he is not up, I was told he is only a 2 hour respawn. All casters (especially clerics) can bind next to the LDoN entrance to run back to the fight if they die. Have everyone buff up and stand out of the camp a ways. Only warriors, pallies and SKs should be in the camp and the one cleric spawning the event. Nothing is KoS to start.

The fight part 1: Cleric should stand next to Mirot in his hut and as far away from the other mobs as possible. Every tank should pretarget a wayfarer and get ready to grab agro. Once the cleric hails, Mirot will immediately despawn and 6 wayfarer mobs will agro. They are all warrior types and quad for about 656. The mezzers lock down as many as they can and the MA calls to kill one at a time. Everyone can come into the camp at this time.

Transition: Once you are down to the last wayfarer mob, you must make everyone back up out of the camp a good ways. The tank that wakes the last mob needs to pull it to the raid and out of the camp. The rest of the tanks go and wait inside the camp for the next wave. DPS and ONE tank finish off last mob. Even a ranger can tank these slowed if you are short tanks.

The fight part 2: Taskmaster Mirot and 6 undead skellies will spawn. At least 2 tanks need to be on taskmaster at all times because he rampages and just in case one goes down. These 2 tanks will pull Mirot away from the camp a ways, but not too far. I have heard if you get him too far away, he will summon the adds to him.

-Adds: All of the adds are clerics. Joy! 6 mobs with ch! They also cast MR based AE spells which is why your melee need high MR. Clerics get AE's for 850ish and with 6 mobs casting this, they will die fast. There are 2 types of skellies, light and dark. I saw only 2 dark skellies for both of my attempts. Have mezzers lock down all of the light skellies asap. They are easily mezzed. The dark skellies have extremely high MR and will need to be offtanked. Have dps concentrate on one of these to start. Kill all of the dark skellies and leave the others mezzed. They only seem to be able to triple for 826.

-Mirot: The fun part. He has an AE (480 DD with 6 second stun, FD, 24-35 second recast, range about 200, unresistable). The 2 tanks that pulled him from the raid must be ready to stand up once the AE goes off. If any caster or melee dps get hit with the AE, they need to stay down for at least 6 seconds because they will be stunned anyway and they will just grab agro. You can keep out of range with long range heals (remedies for clerics). He rampages and summons, but only seems to triple for 800. Once all of the dark skellies are dead, focus the dps on Mirot. Caster dps can use long range nukes (200 with extended range) to avoid the AE. Mirot MUST be kept away from the mezzers so controlled push is needed. His AE also removes mez from the adds. Melee dps stays down after AE for at least 7 seconds to allow the tanks to become unstunned and attack first. If you are under 50% health, stay down until you get a heal, but I don't see this being much of an issue with such a low DD unless you pull agro somehow.

-Cleanup: After Mirot is dead, kill the remaining cleric skellies one at a time. Should be cake by then unless you almost wiped to Mirot. If you barely kill Mirot, you can just wait a couple minutes for the adds to despawn and then go loot his corpse.

On failure, Mirot immediately respawns for another try. On success, I think he is a 2 hour respawn.

A couple corrections; the skeletons can be warriors, rogues, or clerics. The ae is Wave of Death--http://lucy.allakhazam.com/spell.html?id=2809&source=Live. Taskmaster hit me max for 798 and skeleton max hit was 825.
