Korasal Klyseer

a rare creature

He's a (not-so)rare spawn outside Chardok in the little Sarnak outpost. He's a shadow knight, and harm touches for a tidy sum.

He can actually spawn in multiple places at the same time.

Not Really a named mob....

I was gonna assist one of my guild's friends with his epic. we needed to camp some wurms or something that spawned around the sarnie fort. unfortunately the wurms never showed on track, so we decided to hang out and pull some. We ran into this guy alot. The weirdest experince tho was when when we pulled him, and as soon as he dropped he immediately popped right out in the front gate, he started running after our puller (who was running back in for more) when kora aggroed him, we all charged and had a massive battle against this guy again. Halfway thru the fight, two MORE koras came flying out of the place. i was freaked out, we were fighting three koras at the same time. We eventually killed them all, along with a few knights and such, was close tho. I guess either he's not REALLY a named mob, or the GM wanted to have some fun with our guild.

Soloable?

Okay... assuming a druid or necro or mage (or other soloing class i'm not thinking of)...

Whats the apporximate level this guy could be taken at solo through kiting or Root/Doting or whatever method.

Assuming one of the lower cons (which i suppsoe would be hard to tell) could a level 52-53 druid take him?

Would REALLY like this blade for my SK, and while it's cheap on my server (like 150-200pp max) since we have so few SK's and the few we have already have better, it's also really rare, since beacuse we have so few SK's no one ever camps loot for them often. Seems to me if he's soloable easiest way to nail him is to level up and get em.

You should be able to solo this guy np. Actually I fought him today for the first time, lvl 54 druid here. I harmony the sarnak next to him, snare Kor. and run back a little then rooted. Pet never hit me once, just kept missing. For pet I didnt even snare, just root and breath of ro. Then back to Korasal, I put winged death, breath of ro and droons of doom from my es vambs. In total I think I put 3 winged deaths, 1 breath of ro and a bunch of droons from the vambs. Just kept him rooted with lvl 24 root spell, he only broke it once early.
When you enter courtyard (which is where I found him) I fought him all the way on the left side. Nothing aggro'ed me over there at all.

We had a group of 6 people, big range on levels/classes. We pulled 2 of these guys at once. One red one yellow at 44, The red one actully attempted to fear kite me but i resisted all his fears. And of course being a monk I got the crazy agro and was almost slaughtered, great cleric work kept me standing. Dropped a runic Carver 18/37.. not great but my SK sure loves it. Siot Bludfist

This is a TYPE of mob, not a named mob. That's why there can be more than one up.

Myself (a 48 ranger) and a 53 magician decided to see what the outside of Chardok had to offer. We spent about an hour or two just killing the pops around the entrance when Korasal popped. We were excited to get a pop that was white to me and blue to the magician. I decide being about half-life was okay, the guy was blue, everything else had been cake, blah blah blah. With that, I stepped up to bat and sent an arrow into his noggin, next thing I know BOOM and I'm harm touched or *something* for 600 pts. Suddenly his little stupid green pet is on me and causing the crack noise when he hits me. That's no good. Long story short, a nice kite (a scary kite, I'm at like 20 hps and can't get snare to stick and he WON'T aggro on the magician's pet with me so low) and about a 5 minute fight later and the beast falls. I'm amazed to be alive and have a little more respect for this jerkface now. We thanked him for donating his runic carver to our cause and moved on with fresh knowledge at how to approach old Korasal Klyseer. Carefully.

He's a mid to high 40s mob but he hits for 130s max and always casts nasty dots. Never feared from what I saw but can be a heap of trouble if you get him with adds. All in all pretty much a hack and slash mob...

He might not do it a lot, but in our one (so far) fight with him, he scared our magician's pet pretty badly, sending the pet running, screaming, all around the gully. We had to pray for no adds.

I fought him 5 times last night with my group. He conned blue most of the time but one time he was yellow to me at 47. Our druid also picked 2 up on track at the same time, one was yellow and the other red at level 43.

He dropped the Runic Carver every time we killed him: 2h slash 18dmg/37 delay WAR RNG PAL SHD wt 10.

This Mob can actually be as high as 48 , he conned even to me at 48 50% of the time .

He hits very fast for a maximum of 131 and is a Shadowknight.Has a high MR and a LOT of hp.

Happened across a group that was fighting 4 of these at once at the entrace to chardok. First named spawn i've seen that happen with.

Spawn rate

Heh, I saw Abru's fight and the kite/hack thing was working pretty well for him =) I picked up the camp after that and cleared spawn for about 2 hours without getting a pop, although some people say they've had him pop 3 times in one hour.
Con/Kite
# Jun 15 2000 at 12:46 PM Rating: Decent
This guy conned yellow to me at level 45, so the maximum needs to be raised at least to 46. I kited him with a 40 warrior taking the HT and taking out the pet early. We both had diamond skin, wolf form and chloroplast on, and I had clarity and buffed up my magic resistance to 84, which I think helped a lot -- the idea was to keep him snared and after me (the druid), and have the warrior hack his heels, and it worked well. We tried once to do the head on approach, but with a 45 druid and a 40 warrior, we were quickly low on mana and health without haveing taken more than forty percent of his hitpoints, so we ran to frontier zone and recovered on the other side before trying the kite/hack method.

My group has dropped this sarnak four times now, and he's dropped us once. However, the levels you have him at are incorrect. He conned blue to me every time I ran into him while I was level 45. He sure didn't act like a blue mob, but that's what he conned. Nasty beast, have a good group before going against him. With four of us at level 45, it took all we had to drop him, and one of us had to zone. Be ready for a good fight.
