World of Warcraft: I recently abandoned EverQuest to play World of Warcraft. I plan to stick with Warcraft until Vanguard comes out.
EverQuest:I play a wide variety of characters across four servers (Seventh Hammer, Lanys T'Vyl, Drinal, and Firiona Vie). While Dorwinyn is by far my main character, which character I play most varies with my mood.
The reason I have so many characters is fairly simple. I wanted one of each race, one of each class, and one following each diety. The least number of characters I could do this with was 17. I have 18 characters, with the extra one being Ewyn (on Firiona Vie).
At the moment all of my characters are low level. This is for two reasons. The first is because of the sheer quantity of characters I have. The second is that my enjoyment of the game comes from increasing my skills more than from any other thing. Therefore, I avoid leveling up until my skills are maxed out for the level. I also like to fish, and spend a great deal of time doing nothing else.
Because of my playing style, I generally do not like to group and will NEVER group with someone who invites me without talking to me first. I consider this kind of activity extremely rude, just below begging from your guild.
