And the Jedi Have Become the Hunted...

In a shocking twist Bounty Hunter players on the Naritus galaxy found a new "Dynamic Mission" appear on the Bounty Hunter terminal listed with the hardest missions Bounty Hunters can get. Naritus is also the home of one of the few new Jedi Initiates..... Zina was confirmed to unlock her FS just late yesterday, the second such Jedi player we have heard of. Now this new "Dynamic Mission" is level 75 difficulty and only has a letter and number code as its name. The reward is 150,000 credits.... One of the Master Bounty Hunters, Nerro Elyst accepted the mission, the Jedi players name was listed on the mission in the targets name section. Nerro Elyst then quickly spoke with the Master level Spy-Net Operative and received the bio-signature. Nerro Elyst then attempted to track the player using droids but was greeted with a "your target is not online message" even though she was indeed online. Perhaps a bug, or perhaps the Jedi player had not yet done enough open displays of the force to give away her position, in the end though with Player Bounties active one thing is certain... It will be the players who will eagerly help keep the Jedi population in check... now the question to you is are you to be one of the hunted or the hunter?

For the love of whatever you deem holy, stop comparing the movie skirmishes to the game skirmishes. Just because soandso beats soandso in the movie doesn't mean the game will work that way. The movie would have kind of ENDED if certain unlikely odds played out the way they probably would have, following game mechanics. Luke getting munched by a rancor, Han getting eyeshotted to death by Boba Fett (if he wasn't already blinded), etc.

Newly rolled Jedi characters don't have to worry about being hunted by BHs anyway. Jedi are only entered on the BH mission terminal if they use force powers close to neutrals and/or imperials. In the case of imperials, the Jedi will probably be attacked right away and if he is slain, there is no reason to post a bounty. All a new FS character has to do to avoid being put on the bounty board is never use his powers unless he's in a group of friends (preferably rebel aligned, since rebel witnesses don't add to the Visibility counter)
Sounds very cool

Widh I had the time to play it. All these naysayers are typically the ones that hold precious their AOL chat sessions. Good luck to the Jedi's and ***** the BH's!

A. If you're playing Everquest you're the one with no life.

B. You might want to mix in a session at school so you learn some grammar and sentence structure. Who's the loser?

Some of you are also forgetting that SONY stated that it will take a large GROUP OF PLAYERS to defeat a lone jedi! I am not saying a very smart Master BH couldnt do it, but I am saying, it will be very difficult for a lone MBH to take on a lone Jedi....
This is fair?

A Bounty Hunter, even at Novice, is one of the most powerful pc's in the game. A brand-new Jedi pc with little skills, powers, credits, equipment, etc is supposed to go against one? I hope this is a bug, and that the Jedi pc gets a little time to advance before becoming the target of every bounty hunter.

Best way to track any player down will be decided by Ranger skillz (HuntMaster) though its not a perfected skill if your target is constantly moving (especially if there a player) the truly wicked BH with this skill will have a better chance to track down jedi regardless of droids eventhough droids will prolly give an exact locale of there target. It'll solely be up to the BH/Ranger to truly track someone down. heh "I WAS ONCE that bh/ranger, hoping this day will come BUT alas i gave up both professions." ;P BH is about tracking not killing so...BLEH! to the ALL Master BH's out there. And dont waste you time Mastering all 3 weapons either. BH gotta learn to HEAL too!?!? Pray u have enough points left. muwahahaha

A good idea would be too instead of making the Jedi start from scratch....let them start with any profession in the non-jedi skill tree. This way they would still lose out but keep something. Afterall, these people worked hard to get Jedi.

Jedi's are hunted in the Star Wars time we are playing in. Bounty hunters alike will always be hunting jedi as long as Vadar's around. Luke Skywalker had to go all the way to see Yoda on that swamp planet and train there in secret to become a jedi. So whomever gets this jedi character might have to train in secret until they are strong enough to defend themselves.

They should make it so that Jedi can be covert or undetectable unless they flash around their force powers all the time. Maybe they can and people with these jedi characters are just showing them off (and making themselves a mark). Did Luke flash his lightsaber around everywhere he went?
Screw the Jedi

Jedi were hunted by the empire, in particualr, Vader into extinction. If you want to be a Jedi, prepare to be hunted. It is consistent with star wars and it is right. Being a Jedi is not some trophy where you get to be uber, instead it is a challenge. If you think it is stupid then don't try to play Jedi. Not to hard to figure out.

This seems easily exploitable to me.. If a PA or just a group of players has a jedi and a hi-level BH, can't they just get the Jedi to become 'bounty-able' and then have the BH take them out? EZ 150k for everyone involved. do this a few times until the PA has enough money to last a while, then the Jedi starts his/her character over and starts 'for real'. probably an easy way to power-level a BH also? Hopefully this will be prevented.

i'm not sure how bounty missions work, but if they're anything like regular or faction missions; then that definately wouldn't be fair for jedis.

the bounty hunters that have the jedi mission would accumulate after a while. that would mean 10's or 100's of bounty hunters with the ability to track the jedi and the same time. a jedi would have no time to work on skills if they are constantly being tracked and hunted whenever they're online.

the punishment for the bh failing should just be the loss of their jedi mission. it's not a permanent loss of jedi hunting rights. the bh will simply have to go back to their mission terminal and randomly pick up a jedi mission again.

Well if the Bounty Missions for Jedi work anything like the normal Bounty Missions then your Mark is only your Mark.. That being said. If you get a Mission for a Jedi, then no other Bounty Hunter can get one for him, so he can not Track Him either, becuase you can only track your Mark. So really if the Jedi was Smart and of course it worked this way (assumeing that these new dynamic missions aren't completely bugged) all he would need to is get a Bounty Hunter to sit and refresh over and over again for Jedi Bounties till his came up.. take the mission and never do it.. the mission would just sit Idle untill he Aborted it or Killed the Jedi. Which could also be a way of making mad Credits.. Jedi Character on one Account , Bounty Hunter on another.. and just created and killing the Jedi as you find Missions for him. LOL.. don't know how often a Jedi Bounty pops up, but if it was just a matter of refreshing a few times.. you could get several hundred thousand credits an hour or more..
