Players on Select Realms Get 24 Hours of Game Time

According to a post by Zarhym, players on 38 realms will be credited with 24 hours of game time due to the extended periods of downtime that affected those servers from Nov. 23-25. You can find the full list of realms after the jump.

Are you one of the players getting a free day of game time? If so, were you affected by the downtime or is this just an early holiday present from Blizzard?

That's very nice of them, I didn't get to play on my day off. I was hoping to play nonstop for most of the day. I ended up painting the kitchen instead, oh well.
Yes please

Thank you, Nordrassil was down most of prime time two or three evenings in a row. We're not talking an hour or two. We're talking from 6pm ET until well into the morning. So its nice to be given back some time. Although I wish they had extended the Pilgrim festival like they did brewfest. A few of my characters weren't able to complete it from the loss of game time.
I get it

I get the free day, although it doesn't matter to me. I understand the complexities of what they are running there and understand that there are going to be hiccups like this and I accept that. Unlike other people who love to cry and whine and demand compensation.
#REDACTED, Posted: Dec 02 2009 at 3:38 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) But who is not on a monthly subscription ? So the bottom line this a nice gesture but just that a symbolic gesture that costs Blizzard nothing, and gains the affected players nothing in return. Warm fuzzies all about and thanks for caring blizzard. Please note the extreme use of sarcasm...
Better than a poke in the eye...

People who have subscriptions get it too. I believe they just don't charge you until the day+1. But they could also just subtract one day's play (50 cents) from the charge.

They are not giving .50 cents back though, they are just pushing your subscription pay date one day forward...so in the end it is a total wash...

Like I said, a nice gesture but gaining the paying customer nothing, and costing Blizzard nothing...
cool

Thank you Blizz for making up the lost time on WoW. :) I gotta say, I almost didn't get the title for the Pilgrim's week b/c of the down time. But I barely made it on Wednesday before Thanksgiving, the day I left for out of town. Thanks for being kind to us. :D
