Quests for Trakanon's Teeth

Key to Sebilis (Normal): Emperor Ganak may be found in the southwest corner of the zone, inside a tomb at -3330, +2650, -368.

You say, 'Hail, Emperor Ganak'

Emperor Ganak says 'Greetings. It has been long since I was aware on this plane. Who are you and what do you want of me, Ganak, wyrm scourge and slayer of Jaled-Dar?'

You say, 'I wish to enter Old Sebilis.'

Emperor Ganak says, 'An adventurer that wishes to enter the inner city of Sebilis you say?? There are only two ways in, either the [glowing orb] in the heart of the ruins in the outer city, or via one of the tortured souls that wanders the jungles nearby.'

You say, 'How do I use the glowing orb?'

Emperor Ganak says, 'The glowing orb is activated by a special key, an idol crafted in the likeness of the dread Trakanon, Reaver of Sebilis. I have this idol and will give it to you, but only if you give me two [medallions] representing the Iksar tribes of old.'

You say, 'What of the medallions?'

Emperor Ganak says 'There were five different tribes of my people. The Kunzar, Kylong, Nathsar, Obulus, and Jarsath. Each of the tribes had a medallion that represented it. If you can return to me the medallions of the Kunzar and Nathsar, I will give you the idol of Trakanon.'

The Medallion of the Kunzar drops from a "froglok forager" in Trakanon's Teeth. The Medallion of the Nathsar drops from a "froglok hunter," also in Trakanon's Teeth. Hand in both to Emperor Ganak:

Emperor Ganak says 'You have returned to me two medallions of my people. In return, I give you this key to enter the ruins of Sebilis. Be wary though, for Trakanon, scourge of the Sebilisan empire, resides within.'

You gain experience!!

You receive the Trakanon Idol, the key to Old Sebilis. The key goes on your /keyring. Reward: Trakanon Idol

One Shall Rule Them All (Normal): This is the first monster mission in a series of three which lead up to the 24-person raid monster mission, The Fall of an Empire.

"a forgotten noble" (location -3260, +2535 in Trakanon's Teeth) tells you to find Tulok.

You say, 'Hail, a forgotten noble'

a forgotten noble says 'The book. Charged, was I, with its safekeeping. All was well until that fateful day: the day of the fall. They descended upon us with horrible fury. I could not fulfill my task. The failure will haunt me. I will haunt this grave . . . until the end of time. An eternity of unrest awaits unless I can uncover the whereabouts of the ancient book of the dead. You, mortal . . . you must seek them out. Find Tulok the Folklorist and the Spirit of Kotiz. They can help pinpoint the location! Kotiz is nearby. Tulok wanders the Emerald Jungle.'

Tulok may be found at +4015, +3465 in the Emerald Jungle, in some ruins on the plateau in the northwest corner of the zone.

You say, 'Hail, Tulok'

Tulok says 'Ssssoo, what is a Halfling doing out this far from home? Now that you have. . .found me. . .what can I, Tulok, a mere [historian] do for you?'

You say, 'Historian?'

Tulok says 'During my long yearssss I have collected many talessss and other bitssss of hisssstory. For instancccce I have dissscovered more about the iksssar [dark lord] himssself, Venril Sssathir.'

You say, 'Dark lord?'

Tulok says 'Yesss. As Venril asssscended to the iksssar throne, he had many rebellionsss to crusssh beneath hisss heel. One uprising represssented the final obssstacle to controlling the entire continent. It wassss later known assss the [First Slaves' War].'

You say, 'First Slaves' War?'

Tulok says 'Asss the forcesss of Venril marched acrossss the face of the continent, ssssome of the other races willingly ssssubmitted before them. Othersss fled entirely, leaving whole citiesss to rot. Still fewer joined together in hopes of sssstopping the iksssar horde. The War of the First Slave's would sssseee [froglok and giant] ally in desperation.'

You say, 'Froglok and giant?'

Tulok says 'Ccccorrect. froglok and Mountain giantsss allied to defend againssst the forcesss of the dark lord. During the war, however, there wasss an impasse. The froglokssss proved to be sssskillful tacticiansss. And of courssse the mountainousss terrain of the battlefield aided the giantsss' ability to fight. Till Venril had a [plan].'

You say, 'A plan?'

Tulok says 'Yesss. He sssent in a small cccadre of iksssar ssshock troopsss. While the majority of Venril'ssss forcesss kept the froglokkkk and mountain giant armiesss bussssy, the sssmall band of elite sssoldiers sssnuck into the giant fort and ssslew the leadersss of the rebellion. If you clossee your eyessss, I bet you can almossst hear the sssoundsss of battle drawing [closer].'

You are offered a group task called "One Shall Rule Them All."

You have been assigned the task 'One Shall Rule Them All'.

You are part of an elite cadre of Iksar Troops who have been given a special assignment. Whilst the rest of the Iksar Army keeps much of the Giant & Froglok Forces occupied, you must sneak into the Giant Stronghold and assassinate the five leaders of the opposing forces. Without these important officials, the enemy will surely crumble.

Quickly head to the location of the Giant Fortress as our spies inform us that a Froglok Emissary is about to leave and seek out additional allies.

Monster options include level 45 Monk, Shadowknight, and Shaman.

You say, 'Closer?'

LOADING, PLEASE WAIT...
You have entered Frontier Mountains.

You zone in a little ways south of the giant fort. An Iksar named Zathrin greets you and will port you out if you ask him to do so.

You say, 'Hail, Zathrin'

Zathrin says 'Hurry you foolsss. . .I won't be able to transssport you back. . .if you don't hurry up!. . .Our army won't be able. . .to occupy their forcesss much longer sssso you must. . .kill their commanderssss now. . .But if you are. . .a coward. . .then let me you that you are [ready to leave].'

Discover the location of the Giant Fortress 0/1 (Frontier Mountains)

As you move toward the fort, you'll need to watch out for the giant patrols, each of which has approximately 13 giants: 1 Giant Patrol Leader, 6-8 soldiers, and 4-6 shaman. You can avoid them and head to the hill directly out from the entrance to the fort. Stay far away from the entrance as 1-2 patrols circle the fort.

This step updates as you approach the fort.

As you begin to crest the hill that the fortress stands upon, you hear the beginnings of a massive battle to the west. Under the ensuing confusion, the froglok emissary begins to make his departure to The Overthere.

Your task 'One Shall Rule Them All' has been updated.

Prevent the Emissary from going to the Overthere 0/1 (Frontier Mountains)

The froglok emissary is heading to the Overthere. He must be stopped at all costs!

You'll see a froglok emissary being escorted by a Giant Bruiser and Giant Shaman. Kill these three to receive the next task update.

Kill Tactician Zarius 0/1 (Frontier Mountains)
Kill Commander Kreegun 0/1 (Frontier Mountains)
Kill General Githyun 0/1 (Frontier Mountains)
Kill Commander Muglom 0/1 (Frontier Mountains)
Kill General Kraglok 0/1 (Frontier Mountains)

The tactician, one of the generals, and one commander spawn on the upper level of the fort. The other general and commander are located at the very end of the mine tunnel in the fort. Upon killing all five, you receive another task update.

Escape the Giant Fortress and report back to Zathrin 0/1 (Frontier Mountains)

Zathrin is in the ruins where you zoned in. Hail him.

Rune of Scale (Key to Veeshan's Peak) (Normal): When the July 14, 2004 patch introduced the revamped Veeshan's Peak, it also introduced a quest to get the New Key to Veeshan's Peak. Completing this quest serves as a shortcut in the new quest, but is not required for it. You cannot enter Veeshan's Peak without obtaining the new key.

You can no longer multiquest the quest handins. 9-20-2017 patch.

This is the quest to get the key to enter Veeshan's Peak. All told, it should take you several days real time to complete, and will require help from others along the way.

Not far south (just keep the wall on your right) from the Swamp of No Hope zone, there's a passage going into the wall. At the end of the passage, there's a huge room with a red viper-looking throne, and on the throne there's a ghost-looking Iksar floating.

He is at 49, and cons indifferent. His name is Emperor Ganak, and here's what he has to say:

You say, 'Hail, Emperor Ganak'

Emperor Ganak says 'Greetings... It has been long since I have been aware on this plane..Who are you and what do you want of I, Ganak, slayer of Jaled-Dar?'

You say, 'What is Veeshan's Peak?'

Emperor Ganak says 'You wish to know of Veeshan's Peak?! You are either very brave or very foolish! There is nothing there for the uninvited but a fiery death. I have been away from this plane of existence for a long time yet still I feel the presence of the ancient wurms. I am sure they sense my presence as well, being as I hold the only [key to the chambers] of the Ring of Scale.'

You say, 'What about the key to the chambers?'

Emperor Ganak says 'I am not so quick to grant someone the key to their death! If you truly wish your doom to fall upon you so soon then bring me the three medallions of the fallen Iksar tribes, Kylong, Obulus, and Jarsath. The tribes were long ago crushed by the warriors of the Kunzar and their remains lye buried beneath ages of rubble. Finding the lost medallions of my people will not be enough to prove your worthy of entry into the fortress of the great wurms there is another task that you must complete before you return the medallions.'

You say, 'What medallions?'

Emperor Ganak says 'There were five different tribes of my people. The Kunzar, Kylong, Nathsar, Obulus, and Jarsath. Each of these tribes had a medallion that represented it. If you can return to me the Medallion of the Kunzar and Nathsar, I will give you the idol of Trakanon.'

You say, 'What task?'

Emperor Ganak says 'Those who enter Veeshans Peak uninvited by the lords of the Ring of Scale become nothing more than a snack for the wurms that dwell within its halls. Once you cross the threshold of the Peak there Is no escape. Any fool dedicated enough to locate the medallions can do so, but it takes a truly mighty individual to slay the dragon that has plagued my people for ages. I speak of the poison dragon Trakanon, the vile undead wurm that has conquered my peoples greatest wurmslayers. Bring me proof of Trakanons death with the medallions I request and I may deem you worthy of the key to the Ring of Scale.'

The medallions of Kunzar and Nathsar drop from the Froglock Hunter and Forager in Trakanon's Teeth. These Mobs spawn one after another, so they are fairly easy to get. Turn in these two medallions and you should get the idol of Trakanon, which will get you into Old Sebilis, where you can find Trakanon. (See Key to Sebilis Quest for a full description)

The quest for Medallion of the Odulus is located in The Burning Woods. The quest for the Medallion of the Kylong is located in the Lake of Ill Omen. The quest for the Jarsarath Medallion is located in the Timorous Deep. The full descriptions are detailed in each quest, and they also involve several subquests. The links to each are to the left.

If you find a piece of medallion, be sure to identify it to see which medallion it belongs to. Once you get all three medallions and Trakanon's tooth, turn them in and you will get you the Key to Veeshan's Peak.

Emperor Ganak says 'I must say, I thought your flesh would be rotting from your bones along side the remains of the ancient Sebisilians. I commend you on your victory over the poison dragon and thank you for returning the ancient medallions of my people. I reward you with the key you seek. A place shall be prepared for your souls among the most honored of the dead. Soon you will be seeing the world through the shroud of death. Reward: Key of Veeshan

Zebuxoruk's Pact (Incomplete): This is the third monster mission in a series of three which lead up to the 24-person raid monster mission, The Fall of an Empire.

"a forgotten noble" may be found at -3260, +2535.

The Spirit of Kotiz is a ghostly iksar found on top of the aqueduct system in the forest, at -1245, -2035. When you hail him, 6 red-to-70 skeletons named "Minion of Kotiz" spawn around him, and you are rooted and silenced with Vengeance of Kotiz.

Need opening dialogues.

If you do not answer with "I offer you vengeance" quickly enough, the skeletons will attack and you will most likely die.

You say, 'I offer you vengeance.'

Spirit of Kotiz says 'Indeed, that is something I seek. Many years ago, I found myself conversing in secret with Zebuxoruk. He had offered to me his journal of war, known simply as the Unholy Book of Zebuxoruk. Inside, he had promised battle strategies and magic's unknown to the Norrath as we knew it. I had come so close..'

You say, 'So close?'

Spirit of Kotiz says 'What happened? Ahh.. Yes, I had completed the pact with Zebuxoruk. Fifty sacrifices. Fifty sacrifices is all he required for the book to be mine. I was moments from grasping the book with my own hands before that wretched Sathir showed his face. He took the book from me, struck me down and left my rotting corpse deep within that wretched place.'

You say, 'What wretched place?'

Spirit of Kotiz says 'What wretched place? Kaesora, of course. Venril was his name, I believe. A young and powerful warrior-mage of the Kunzar tribe. He sought to decipher the unspeakable magic coded within Zebuxoruk's ancient book. You just may be worthy to go back and face Venril once more.'

(need information on all steps between here and end)

Two chests spawn after killing 50 mobs in an instanced version of Kaesora. In them are three shards each (named what?) and an item, which can be one of two things:

Kotiz's Empowering Essence which transmutes to: ???? (level 1-10), ???? (level 11-20), ???? (level 21-30), ??? (level 31-40), ??? (level 41-50), Kotiz's Essence of Eradication (level 51-60), Kotiz's Essence of Demise (level 61-70).

Kotiz's Empowering Spaulders which transmutes to: ???? (level 1-10), ???? (level 11-20), ???? (level 21-30), ??? (level 31-40), ??? (level 41-50), ??? (level 51-60), Kotiz's Spaulders of Demise (level 61-70).

Note: Kotiz's Empowering Spaulders may be bugged. Despite showing 160/130/120 as its max stats, the highest stats outside of the missiona re 130/120/120.

Need further dialogues; names, /loc, fight info, and level range of all mobs; quest items if any; list of rewards; any other missing quest information. Reward: Kotiz's Essence of Demise
