You say, 'what boots ?'

Nerik Wolfsoul says 'Your feet are hard as any stone and as swift as a coiled serpent but even the swiftest feet require protection so I shall provide you with these. They should help. Acquire a pair of ancient tarnished boots and three crushed pieces of black marble. '
Beastlord Kael Bracer (Normal): You say, 'I am a beastlord'

Blizzent's Fang (Normal): Dialogue is reported broken as of December 2014.

Head to the Iceshard house in Kael and speak to Reivaj:

You say, 'Hail, Reivaj the Battlerager'

Reivaj the Battlerager says 'Greetings. You tread in the halls of Iceshard manor. Are you here with a purpose or are you lost? '

You say, 'I am here with a purpose.'

Reivaj the Battlerager says 'I do not know what purpose you would serve to the Kromrif. If you seek to amass a fortune you have come to the wrong man. I am but a simple battlerager, wielding my blade for the Iceshard brothers when needed. '

You say, 'What is a battlerager?'

Reivaj the Battlerager says 'Yes, I am a warrior who thrives on battle. I have great faith in Rallos Zek and I call upon his power to make me more efficient in battle. I am not like the foolish berserkers. They howl like animals and create strange totems. They simply unleash their anger upon the world whereas I focus and destroy my foes with the aid of Rallos Zek. '

You say, 'I worship Rallos Zek'

Reivaj the Battlerager says 'The great war god guides my blade and has helped shape my day to day life... I feel as if there is something greater mapped out for my life than what I have here. '

You say, 'What is the great warlord's plan?'

Reivaj the Battlerager says 'I have been planning to travel forth from Kael Drakkel and destroy any Coldain who have spread from their safe home in Thurgadin. It is always a nice trip, I will take several of the elder
Kromrif with me as well. Perhaps we will track down the elusive wurm, Blizzent. '

You say, 'Who is Blizzent?'

Reivaj the Battlerager says 'Blizzent is an ancient ice wurm Vorken speaks of occasionally. If I remember the story correctly, Blizzent once bit Vorken and Klaggen and has had a desire to have another taste. I have never seen the wurm myself. He may not even be alive still. If I were able to slay Blizzent and retrieve proof of it, I could probably get in good with master Vorken. '

The wurm Reivaj speaks of is Blizzent, a 45th level wurm in the Great Divide. Find it and kill it, and loot "Blizzent's Fang."

Hand the fang in to Reivaj and receive your reward.

Need all dialogues, faction hits if any, minimum faction required to get quest, /loc of quest mobs. Reward: Vehement Sword of Reivaj

Bvellos' Bounty (Normal): This quest begins with Captain Bvellos in Kael Drakkel (roams from the arena to the bank to the palace area).

You say, 'Hail, Captain Bvellos'

Captain Bvellos says 'Greetings, _____. I am the captain of the Kael militia. I will be watching those of your kind who have come to Kael Drakkel as mercenaries and bounty hunters. You may have come here to serve king Tormax but Kael is my home and I intend to keep it a safe place for the Kromzek. Keep yourself out of trouble or you will end up in a world of pain.'

You say, 'I will keep Kael safe.'

Captain Bvellos says 'With the influx of [mercenaries] into Kael Drakkel, I have seen minor crimes increase. I have had to increase my militia patrols. A majority of my militia work longer hours than they did before. There was a time when we only had to watch for the dragons from the sky and the Coldain from the outside. Now we must watch within.'

You say, 'What about mercenaries?'

Captain Bvellos says 'I have several bounties open if you are interested. Bring me the head of a Coldain and I will reward you with a small sum of money and spread the word of your good work. There is also a bounty upon the nefarious Icepaw kobolds who serve the outcast Velketor. I require four of the paws of those little beasts.'

In exchange for a Coldain Head, you receive a few platinum pieces and a substantial faction increase with King Tormax. (Note: An easy way to test your faction standing with King Tormax is to exit the bank and turn hard left. Before you get to the Icy Bridge, stop and con Dlammaz Stormslayer who is across the bridge and to the left.)

Coldain Books of Tactics (Incomplete): You say, 'hail Gkrean Prophet of Tallon'

Gkrean Prophet of Tallon says 'You have entered the sacred temple of Tallon Zek. This is the Temple of Tactics, where we teach what must be done to achieve goals in the most efficient manner.

You say, 'will you teach me?'

Gkrean Prophet of Tallon says 'I cannot teach one of your kind the arts of war. I must teach the other Kromzek at this time. If you were to serve the Temple of Tactics I might consider giving you a few words of wisdom.

You say, 'I will serve the temple of tatics'

Gkrean Prophet of Tallon says 'The great father of war, Rallos Zek, wishes the destruction of the inferior race known as the Coldain. As the high priest of Tallon Zek, I see that they use great tactics to evade destruction. Find the ones who teach these tactics to the other Coldain and bring back the books that contain the ancient Coldain tactics and strategies. Do not waste my time without a scroll or book that those tiny beasts hold.

There seem to be several books of tactics that drop randomly from Coldains. It may be that each gives a set of rewards, or that the rewards are from a random table for any given book.

Here are the ones I know:

Brell's Divine Strategy - resulted in the Bracer of Sacrifice. Also resulted in Gauntlets of Iron Tactics.

War Tactics of the Frostreavers - (reward?)

Need all dialogues (these are transcripts), faction hits, items that work and list of corresponding rewards.

Reward: Gauntlets of Iron Tactics
Reward: Book of Tactics
Reward: Bracelet of Sacrifice
Reward: Circlet of Tallon

Coldain Military Wristguard (Normal): With the Coldain Military Bracers quest, you must have at least dubious faction to the Coldain and to the Kromrif/Kromzek.

In The Great Divide, kill a Coldain War Wolf, (PH's being the coldain tracking wolfies around the coldain areas). Coldain War Wolf drops a "Velium War Wolf Choker."

Bring the choker to a A Frost Giant Wolf Tamer under the bridge that leads to King Tormax's throne room. Just jump down the side of bridge.

After giving the Wolf Tamer the choker he gives you a wolf harness.

With the wolf harness now in your possession say "I am looking for more work".

A frost giant wolf tamer says 'Yes. I was charged with a certain... delivery. Apparently one of our good friends named Erdarf in Thurgadin needs a shipment of one karsin acid bottle. You can find such a thing in Crystal Caverns. Maybe one of the orc dogs has it. Find a way to get one of those bottles to our good friend eh? When you do, let me see whatever it is you find on him.'

He is being sarcastic... Erdarf is not really a friend and the Karsin acid will poison him.

A "Bottle of Karsin Acid" is no drop, and is looted off of random easy kill orcs in Crystal Caverns. About 1 out of 15 drops a bottle.

If your faction is good with both giant and dwarf then give the karsin bottle to Erdarf (in a bar near the cleric guild), and he "gives" you a gem of persuasion.

Now, with Gem of Persuasion, you can do the Kromrif Military Leggings OR you can do this:

Go back to giant wolf tamer, give him gem of persuasion, he gives you a giant's version of the gem.

Give him the wolf harness and the giant version of the gem, and he gives you his giant control harness. If you want, you can start the whole quest by handing in the Karsin Acid.. it is not necessary to kill the Coldain War Wolf and hand in the Choker.

Anyway, bring this giant control harness to the Shardwurm Broodmother in Great Divide (located in the wurm caves).

After giving the Broodmother the giant control harness, head to the Coldain Mine camp in the south east part of the zone and see Korf Brokenhammer.

Wait for the Broodmother to come. She suddenly comes running to the side of the cave and starts attacking, 1 second later, the dwarf with the coldain bracers (Korf Brokenhammer) starts running southwards (right of the cave entrance), hurry and root him. If you miss him you may miss chance on the bracer.

Now, the Broodmother becomes Korf's pet and will hit you if you're too close to Korf.

Kill Korf and find the Coldain Military Bracer on the corpse. Reward: Coldain Military Wristguard

Coldain Skulls (Normal): You say, 'hail Slaggak the Trainer'

Slaggak the Trainer says 'Hello there, Human. I am Slaggak, the trainer. The Kromrif here will soon be ready to serve the great and honorable King Tormax.

You say, 'i will serve'

Slaggak the Trainer says 'So you say, little one. Why are you here, then? You should be out slaying those pestering little Coldain or maybe those damnable shard wurms and wyverns.

You say, 'what coldain'

Slaggak the Trainer says 'The Coldain are the ice dwarves. They have defiled our lands for long enough. Thinking of them makes my blood run hot. With my new position as trainer, I am not allowed to roam the lands and slaughter their kind as I once did.' Slaggak sighs. 'I long for the days when I could fashion necklaces from their skulls.'

You say, 'what skulls'

Slaggak the Trainer says 'Go from here and seek out the Coldain, slay them, and return to me with their heads. I wish to fashion four skull talismans as I once did. If you can do this for me, I will surely let King Tormax know of your deeds and reward you with a piece of armor from the Militia armory.

The result is a random piece of Giant Scale Mail. Reward: Giant Scalemail Belt
Reward: Giant Scalemail Sleeves
Reward: Giant Scalemail Helm
Reward: Giant Scalemail Cloak
Reward: Giant Scalemail Gauntlets
Reward: Giant Scalemail Bracer
Reward: Giant Scalemail Leggings
Reward: Giant Scalemail Tunic
Reward: Giant Scalemail Mask
Reward: Giant Scalemail Gorget
Reward: Giant Scalemail Mantle
Reward: Giant Scalemail Boots

Dain's Head (Normal): You say, 'Hail, King Tormax'

King Tormax says 'Greetings. You know who I am, but I only vaguely know of you. My purpose is simple, I will rule these lands like my father, and my grandfather before him. All tasks but two are inconsequential to me.'

You say, 'What tasks?'

King Tormax says 'The tasks are simple. I wish the death of the other 'powers' of this frozen waste land. If you are able to destroy either of my mortal foes, bring me proof of your exploits and you will be known as the hero of Kael Drakkel.'

You say, 'What powers?'

King Tormax laughs deeply, 'I speak of the foolish old dragon Yelinak and that pitiful Dain Frostreaver.'

Dain is one tough dwarf in Icewell Keep. You'll want to bring some friends to dispatch him. Turning his head into King Tormax yields you the Belt of Dwarf Slaying.

Your faction standing with King Tormax has been adjusted by 500.
Your faction standing with Kromzek has been adjusted by 500.
Your faction standing with Yelinak has been adjusted by -250.
Your faction standing with Dain Frostreaver IV could not possibly get any worse.
You gain experience!

Need hand-in dialogues, faction required to receive quest, etc. Reward: Belt of Dwarf Slaying

Demise of Blizzent (Normal): You say, 'hail Vorken Iceshard'

Vorken Iceshard says 'I am Vorken Iceshard, one of the lords of Iceshard manor. In this day and age you can never tell where one's allegiances are. Leave my servants in peace or you may leave in pieces.

You say, 'what allegiances?'

Vorken Iceshard says 'Loyalties, of course, little one. Each day I see more mercenaries come to Kael, seeking their fortunes . King Tormax will use your kind to wage war on the dragons and upon the Coldain. But I question the motives of your kind.

You say, 'I will wage war on the Dragons an Coldain'

Vorken Iceshard says 'So your cause is to destroy the dragons as King Tormax says? If you wish to be noticed by King Tormax, you must do great deeds.

You say, 'I will do great deeds'

Vorken Iceshard says 'If you expected to come to Kael Drakkel and immediately have an audience with the king, you are a bigger fool than most. Go out and slay the weaker members of dragonkind. That might gain his favor. If you do hunt the wurms and drakes, you may be able to please me as well.

You say, 'what motives?'

Vorken Iceshard says 'My motives are simple. I will acquire as much power and prestige as possible before I die. Such is life for me, a constant search for power and wealth. But my great power and wealth have not brought me happiness. Enough of my motives, what drives you? A constant search for more power, a search for security and happiness? Or do you truly believe in the rhetoric of King Tormax which advocates that we eradicate the dragons?

You say, 'how can I please you as well?'

Vorken Iceshard says 'In my youth, I was bitten by a very intelligent wurm named Bllizent. My brother and I were foolish enough to try to slay the great beast. He tasted my flesh and the flesh of my brother that day and I fear he liked it too much. I have nightmares of this beast's return to taste me again. I would rest easier at night if I knew Bllizent was dead and gone. He will be quite an elderly wurm if he is still alive today.

Blizzent can be found in the Great Divide. He drops a Fang that can be returned for the reward. Reward: Dragonhide Belt

Dragon Heads (Normal): Dlammaz Stormslayer may be found at -1174, 1619, -145. He is on King Tormax faction.

You say, 'Hail, Dlammaz Stormslayer'

Dlammaz Stormslayer says 'Welcome to the castle of King Tormax. It is quite an accomplishment for one of your kind to have lived this long in the service of our great King Tormax. You must be powerful indeed. My power is like a storm - I may rage and destroy my foes with great fury.

You say, 'What foes?'

Dlammaz Stormslayer says 'The dragons are the greatest threat to Kael Drakkel. For some reason they believe that this land we inhabit is holy and should not be tread upon. I cannot count the number of wurms I have beaten back from the gates of Kael Drakkel in the past. We giants will live on, though, for each year their numbers thin and ours only grow. With the help of mercenaries such as yourself we may be able to eradicate them from the face of Velious.

You say, 'Eradicate?'

Dlammaz Stormslayer says 'I dream of the day when the only dragons in Velious are the ones whose skins line my boots. Some day my dream will come true. Until the day I can gather a force powerful enough to assault their homes, I will slay whatever foul beasts tread near Kael Drakkel.

You say, 'Assault their homes?'

Dlammaz Stormslayer says 'That is an aspiration of King Tormax. One day, it may be possible for us to do so. Encountering so many dragons at once may very well be suicide though. Enough of my banter about dragons. What is it that brings you to Dragon Death Keep? Do you seek more challenging tasks?

You say, 'I seek more challenging tasks.'

Dlammaz Stormslayer says 'If you are as mighty as I believe you to be, travel out from this city and fight off the draconian menace. For the head of an elder dragon you will be handsomely rewarded.

You say, 'What reward?'

Dlammaz Stormslayer pats the huge axe at his side and drapes his shimmering cloak over his shoulders.

You say, 'What axe?'

Dlammaz Stormslayer says 'My axe is named Frostbringer. It was given to me by the great King Tormax for my service to him. Serving the king can be quite advantageous.

You say, 'What cloak?'

Dlammaz Stormslayer says 'The cloak of the Maelstrom allows me to rage like a great storm. It is but a simple possession - the head of an elder dragon would be worth far more to my kind.

Dragons in the Western Wastes sometimes drop heads when killed. There are two types: Great and Greater.

A Great Dragon's Head results in the Cloak of the Maelstrom.

A Greater Dragon's Head results in Frostbringer.

Upon hand-in:

Dlammaz Stormslayer says 'We shall hang this head from the halls of Dragondeath Keep and sing your praises, ______. Take my axe as a reward for your great deeds. You are a true hero for Kael Drakkel!'
Your faction standing with King Tormax has been adjusted by 25.
Your faction standing with Kromzek has been adjusted by 25.

Noble Helssen says 'You obviously have no idea where you have trespassed so I will generously allow you to live. I suggest you leave immediately before my generosity runs out however......Unless, you're looking for work.

You say, 'I am looking for work'

Noble Helssen says 'Well, you might do. Out in the deepest scar, known as the Wakening Land we have deployed several Mercenaries to harass the local annoying population. They are in need of constant supplies so we hire those we can trust to deliver those supplies to the Mercenaries wandering out in the field. Are you interested Ogre?

You say, 'I am interested'

Noble Helssen says 'Very well. Take this pack of supplies to any of the Mercenaries you come across in the field. They will pay you upon delivery. Return here for more supplies to deliver when you are ready.

He gives you Field Supplies.

You get some cash and a faction adjustment for delivering the Field Supplies.

Gleed's Bow (Normal): You say, 'hail Gleed Dragonhunter'

Gleed Dragonhunter sighs as he looks down at you. 'I grow tired of this city. I so long for the tundra and lands of the wild.'

You say, 'what tundra and lands of the wild?'

Gleed Dragonhunter says 'I enjoy training these animals, don't get me wrong, but the open wastes, where the great animals and dragons roam free are what I crave. Before I came to serve King Tormax, I wandered those wastes, hunting young dragons and elder wurms. The whistle of an arrow from my bow was like sweet music - each slash of my sword a sweet song.

You say, 'what young dragons and elder wurms?'

Gleed Dragonhunter says 'Yes, I hunted true dragons. The younger ones, at least. With my bow I could shoot them from such a distance they would never see what was coming.

You say, 'what bow?'

Gleed Dragonhunter unslings an intricately carved bow from his back and shows it to you. 'I crafted this bow myself. It was to be a great slayer of wurms and dragons and it was, for a time. Now it goes to waste in the city, far from the beasts I long to slay. Far from the hunt and the excitement.'

You say, 'what waste?'

Gleed Dragonhunter says 'It is such a shame, this bow deserves to be used. If only there were someone who would use it to hunt the beasts - someone to slay them and skin them like they should be.

You say, 'what beasts'

Gleed Dragonhunter says 'You will, little one? One such as yourself is a hunter? I did not know your kind had any skill in such things. In fact, I do not believe your kind could hunt a wurm, not without my wonderful bow. I will not simply hand it to a foolish Troll. Hunt down some big game before you bother talking to me again. Perhaps if you bring me the tail of the elusive Vluudeen.

Vluudeen is a wurm that can be found in the Great Divide. He does indeed drop a tail when killed, but I don't know what you get when you turn it in. Reward: Bow of the Huntsman

Living Dragons (Normal): You say, 'Hail Kyenka'

Kyenka says 'My, it is the great Lias who stands before me! Rumors of your greatness have spread even to the court of King Tormax. I am Kyenka, Duke of Kael Drakkel. I advise King Tormax on matters concerning the nefarious dragons.

You say, 'What about these dragons?'

Kyenka says 'The living dragons of this realm are the bane of Kael Drakkel and its people. Eventually they will be gone and only we Kromzek will remain. We will purge this land of their menace.

You say, 'I will help you purge them'

Kyenka says 'The beasts must be slain. They only bring strife to this world. You are a powerful mercenary, and are sympathetic to my cause, I would assume. You could become rich beyond your wildest dreams by assisting King Tormax and me.

You say, 'I will assist you'

Kyenka says 'Rally together a band of adventurers and track down and slay the elder dragons of this continent. For each head you return to me I will impart a gift to you.

Mask of War (Normal): You say, 'I am looking for work'

Captain Bvellos says 'Are you looking for work, Feninie? I may have a use for one of your kind. I believe that several nobles in this fine city are not all they appear to be. I have suspicions about that filthy Wenglawks. He will do whatever it takes to amass his own wealth. My sources tell me that he may very well be trading with the Coldain, or worse yet, the dragons. If you could find me proof of his underhanded dealings, I would be most pleased.'

You say, 'what proof?'

Captain Bvellos says 'The more convincing the proof is, the better. There must be a record of his actions somewhere.'

A Chetari Courier in Dragon's Necropolis drops a Wurmscale Scroll, which identifies as "dragons letter to wenglawks".

Hand the scroll into Captain Bvellos.

Captain Bvellos says 'This indeed points to Wenglawks being a traitor. If only there were more proof I could take this to the king. Thank you, Leata, you have done a great service for Kael. Take this mask as a reward for your service to this city.'

The reward is the Mask of War. Reward: Mask of War

Mechanical Net Delivery (Normal): /loc of Wenglawks Kkeak? Minimum faction required to get quest?

You say, 'Hail, Wenglawks Kkeak'

Wenglawks Kkeak says 'Greetings, I have heard of you. My name is Wenglawks Kkeak. Welcome to my humble home. My sources tell me you are a mercenary. Is this true?'

You say, 'I am a mercenary.'

Wenglawks Kkeak says 'Well then, I suppose you might be looking for work. Are you?'

You say, 'I am looking for work.'

Wenglawks Kkeak says 'I have been looking for a few good people to deliver goods for me. I have several deliveries to clients which must be made soon. My last delivery person ended up dead, unfortunately.'

You say, 'Dead?'

Wenglawks Kkeak says 'Yes, I do not know who did it, as there is not much competition in this city for trade. He was found stabbed in the back and gutted, just outside the city.'

You say, 'I will deliver goods for you.'

This no longer works. What response currently works?

Wenglawks Kkeak says 'Are you sure you will be up to this journey? It will take a hardened person to survive the trip. Let alone find my client. Do you really want to go out into the dangerous lands in the west?'

You say, 'You can trust me.'

Wenglawks Kkeak says 'I will curse your immortal soul if you fail. In the depths of the icy waters of the cobalt scar lives an outcast siren who preys upon her own kind. We have a deal, I will provide her with an excellent hunting net and she will provide me with a giant cloak made of the scales of her kind. Take this voucher to Kellek and deliver the net. Do whatever it takes to get my cloak.'

Give the note to Kellek in the next room and he gives you a Mechanical Net. Take that net to the outcast siren in Cobalt Scar and she will give you an idol. She then asks you to find her three excellent siren scales (very rare drops from any siren). Return the idol and the three scales to her and she will give you back a cloak.

Take this cloak back to Wenglawk and he will reward you with a very nice container.

You say, 'Hail, Staff Sergeant Drioc'

Staff Sergeant Drioc glances over at you with a sneer and says, 'I have much to do and organize. If you have anything of importance to say you had best speak up now or leave before I lose my patience.'

You say, 'I am looking for work.'

Staff Sergeant Drioc stops looking over his papers and takes a moment to size you up. You fight the urge to run in fear as the collosal humanoid considers you. After a moment he says, 'Very well. Our campaign to conquer the so called Tunarean Court has need of reinforcements. The Kromrif are already spread to thinly in the Eastern Wastes so mercenaries will have to do. Take these orders to the commanding officer in the field and follow his orders. Payment will be discussed after you complete your assignment.'

You receive a Mercenary Assignment. Bring this to Lieutenant Krofer, who can be found outside the city gates in the Wakening Land:

Lieutenant Krofer says, 'Drioc sent you? I suppose one can't expect much from a mercenary. Well then, _____, your first assignment will be to clear out some of the forest's annoying populace. Bring me the meat of one of the raptors, the meat of two panthers, and the remains of one of those living puddles of black sludge found in the caves. You will then have your payment.'

The Lieutenant will then give you several other tasks to perform. He first asks for 2 Panther Meat, 1 Raptor Meat and 1 Tar Goo Strand. Return these to him for some coin and faction.

Lieutenant Krofer says, 'Where is the rest, manling?'
Lieutenant Krofer says, 'Where is the rest, manling?'

You say, 'I am ready for my next assignment'

Lieutenant Krofer says, 'Well, ready or not, this must be done. Out there in the forest are our enemies. For us to be successful, we must know what they are doing and how they are going about it. Our probing attacks have revealed little so we've decided to send you out to gather any info you can. There must be some sort of messenger out there, bring any info you might find.'

Now, you'll need to catch a messenger roaming the Wakening Lands and return proof of its death. This is a Sifaye Messanger, which roams between along the north and northwest region of the forest (standard Tunarean Court faction hit for the kill). Loot the note and return it to Lieutenant Krofer to receive a Studded Velium Cloak:

Lieutenant Krofer says, 'Excellent, _____. With this we can plan an attack that might actually accomplish something. Here is your payment. You have also earned this cloak, it should help protect you from the clawing undergrowth of this savage land. Your next mission will be more complex and dangerous, however we may be able to spare a laborer or two to assist you. Rest now, and tell me when you are prepared.'

You receive 12 platinum from Lieutenant Krofer.

You also receive Velium Studded Cloak.

Tell Lieutenant Krofer that you are prepared to receive a requisition to take to Staff Sergeant Drioc in Kael, who upon receiving the letter will peruse, sign it, say to return it to Krofer and that the troops will be on the way shortly.

You say, 'I am prepared'

Lieutenant Krofer says, 'Very well. We've decided to attack the small Sifaye village northeast of here and I want you to coordinate the attack. I will send you into Kael Drakkel with a request for troop assistance. After the squad is assembled you will lead them to the staging point where you will oversee the battle. Here is the request. Take it to Drioc in the city and return here with the troops.'

You receive Krofer's Requisition.

Go back to Kael and give the note to Staff Sergeant Drioc.

Staff Sergeant Drioc takes the note and begins reading. Seeing a certain passage, he squints and rereads, his brow furrowed. He glances over at you and says, 'Very well. I will assign you a squad lead by Corporal Hlash. They will rendezvous with you out in the field. Oh and take this back to Krofer.'

You receive Signed Requisition.

Hand the Signet Requisition to Krofer.

Lieutenant Krofer takes the note and looks it over, then sighs and says, 'This will have to be enough. The squad should be here shortly. When they arrive you will march with them to the staging area near the village of those insect Sifaye. When you are satisfied with the formation, give the corporal the order to attack and observe the battle. After the village is destroyed return this report to me and we'll plan our next move.

You receive Mission Report. Four giants spawn near Kael entrance : Corporal Hlash, Disciple Atharm, Berzerker Dolvad and Berzerker Voldak. They first walk to Lieutenant Krofer then stop for a minute.

Corporal Hlash says, 'Onward men, the eyes of Zek are upon us.'
Lieutenant Krofer shouts, 'The squad is on their way, mercenary! Do not lose them!'

Follow them to the northeast camp of Sifaye (1762, -285) - this will take a few minutes - where they will buff themselves. Wait for the Corporal to say his squad is ready (what does he say?).

Say "Troop Attack" and they will charge the Sifaye Village. 4 Sifaye defenders will spawn to help them.

You say, 'Troop attack'

Corporal Hlash shouts, 'Destroy them!'
Suddenly , all around the Sifaye village, several beings phase into reality. Their eyes glow with the golden light of divinity, obviously sent from a higher plane of existence. The Kromzek assault squad is surely doomed. You decide to withdraw and report what you have found, perhaps the Lieutenant will understand.
Berzerker Voldak says, 'Lieutenant! Look! Where did they come from?! We're d... AARRGH!'
Corporal Hlash says, 'Grraaaggh! AMBUSH! Die well!'
Corporal Hlash says, 'Grraaaggh! AMBUSH! Die well!'

Your troops will not survive. Return to Krofer with the mission report. He has moved a little southeast at loc -1288, -4457.

Lieutenant Krofer says, 'Failure! Incompetence! The whole squad anihilated! I knew this would happen if left in the hands of a worthless mercenary! Well, you can take this report back to Drioc then. Now get out of my sight, mercenary.'

You receive Report of Failure.

Hand the Report of Failure to Drioc.

Staff Sergeant Drioc reads over the report, his face begins to turn red with anger. Drioc shouts, 'How can this be?! I sent you a squad of some of our best trained men and you had them destroyed! This was supposed to be a routine raid and you return in FAILURE! I would crush you under my boot right now if I wasn't so angry but I think I'll send you to my finacier. YOU can explain what happened and why his investments have been lost. Now take your carcass out of here!'

You get the Report of Failure back. The financer you need to see now is Noble Helssen, located next to Wenglawks in the Noble's building. Hand him the report.

Noble Helssen takes the report from you and places it in a pocket without even glancing at it. He says, 'Do not worry, _____. I know of the planar creatures who eliminated my troops. The fault is not yours but of that fool Drioc's. The Savage land is not just a simple forest as those idiots in the field believe. It is a cradle of life and the forces that drive it. Within that forest is a nexus, a gateway to another plane of existence, the Plane of Growth.'

Your faction standing with Kromrif has been adjusted by 3.

You receive Inscribed Velium Tablet.

When you hand Helssen the failure notice, he will inform you that it was not your fault and that Drioc was to blame. He then will divulge that he seeks to not only control the Wakening Land but the very force of Growth itself.

You say, 'what is the Plane of Growth?'

Noble Helssen says, 'Our soldiers fell victim to the denizens of that plane and unless we can find some way to stop this from happening, the land of Wakening will never be under our control. Many have suggested just destroying the Nexus but they are short-sighted fools. My vision is not only to control the resources that forest provides, but also to control the very force of Growth itself! You will help me to do this, mercenary.'

You say, 'I will help you'

Noble Helssen says, 'The tablet I have given you is inscribed with runes of binding. I am owed a favor and it has come time to use it. There is a venerable sea turtle that lives along the warmer part of the coast, where the ice floes begin to break up. His name is Corudoth. Find him and speak with him. Remind him of his obligation to me and if he is not forthcoming in his answers, tell him he owes me. Then show him the tablet. He will tell you what to do. He will most likely be beneath the ocean. The mask I gave you should help.'

He wants you to help him accomplish this goal. He will hand you a tablet inscribed with the runes of binding and tell you to seek out a turtle by the name of Corudoth in the Iceclad Ocean. He also will occasionally give you the Enchanted Velium Mask as a reward for getting this far.

Corudoth can be found under a chunk of ice at approximately -6000, 6000 in Iceclad. If you tell him that he "owes Helssen" he will deny owing Helssen anything.

You say, 'you owe a favor to Noble Helssen'

Corudoth says, 'What?! I owe him nothing! Nothing at all! I didn't ask him to.., err. What proof do you have? How do I know he sent you? Bah, leave me, Human.'

Handing him the tablet will change his tune:

Corudoth curses and goes into a fit of frustration before finally giving in. The ancient sea turtle finally says, 'Fine. I don't know what Helssen wants with that but I know where you can find it. Years and years back I traveled with a group was called the Icy Mugs. We were a mercenary company out for fun and profit, and there was plenty of that. During our adventures we ran across a great many foes.

You say, 'What great foes?'

Corudoth says, 'Yes. One of note was the vile and evil sorcerer Rosh. A better example of depravtity and anti-morality I cannot think of. He researched magics destined to end all life on this cold chunk of rock and snow. We made it our mission to destroy him. In the end we defeated him, but alas our friend and comrade was slain. Poor Abrams was left cursed forever to wander that spire of ultimate loathing, the Tower of Frozen Shadow.'

You say, 'Who is Abrams?'

Corudoth says, 'Abrams was a brave warrior and a good friend. His great maul could always be counted on to strike true as he used his body to shield others from grievous wounds. He sacrificed himself to save us from the eternal suffering he now endures up in that dark tower. The book you now seek, is in his possesion. You must first destroy his tormented form to free him from his madness. Tell him you seek the Arcanum and then give him the lock of hair I just gave you. You also will need the key?'

You receive a Lock of Dwarven Hair.

You say, 'What key?'

Corudoth says, 'We ambushed Rosh on an expedition into the cursed Tower. When we faced him, Abrams ran forward and grabbed the Arcanum. He held it to his chest as lightning and flame rained down upon him. With Rosh busy trying to save his book it gave Halldor and I enough time to strike Rosh down. We went to Abrams and found our friend left a smoking pile of Coldain ruin. He underwent a strange transformation in which the Arcanum was lost. We decided Halldor should keep the key.'

You say, 'Who is Halldor?'

Corudoth says, 'Halldor has retired from the life of an adventurer as I have. I would not tell you where he is as he is a good friend, but what I owe Helssen is stronger than comraderie or even friendship so I must comply; it is the word of Veeshan. Halldor now defends the halls in the great city of Thurgadin. To get the key you must fight your way into the city and kill Halldor. I wish you a most horrendous death, Human. Now leave me to my sleep.'

Guard Halldor can be found roaming the halls of Thurgadin. He drops an ancient rusted key, and will lower your Dain Frostreaver IV and Coldain faction.

Abrams ghost can be found on the sixth floor of the Tower of Frozen Shadow. His ghost goes by the name of Incoherent Spirit (with a capital I) and has a respawn time of around 5 minutes. Killing the capital I version will spawn Lucid Spirit of Abrams. Hand him his beard and he will hand you the Arcanum of Rosh. (You have a limited time before the lucid version despawns.)

Return the Arcanum and the Ancient Rusted Key to Helssen and he will give you a voucher. There are three rewards here and it is your choice which path to take.

Noble Helssen says, 'I have much to do, _____. Do not waste my time unless you have the Arcanum AND the key to open it.'
Noble Helssen says, 'Ahhh, you suprise me mercenary. You have found the book as well as the key to open it. I must begin my research as soon as possible. But first, your reward. With this voucher you can receive 1 of the 3 treasures I will offer you. If given to Kellek, you will receive an item worthy of a hearty and rugged combatant. If given to Wenglawks, you will acquire an item to be worn by only the most pious. And if given to me, I will give you a sorcerous trinket of my own design.'

Sifaye Abominations (Normal): You say, 'hail Nojas Blackfist'

Nojas Blackfist says 'What brings you to the hall of the frost giants, little one? Have you come to serve our lord and master? Or are you simply a scout for a raiding party? I warn you, do not make war on my kin. I will twist the elements to my will and destroy you if that is your intent.

You say, 'I have come to serve'

Nojas Blackfist says 'You could best serve the masters by serving me. The more time I have to tend to my research the better. I have several minor tasks which you could easily handle...

You say, 'what about minor task?'

Nojas Blackfist says 'In the wreched jungle to the west there lives a race of faries protected by Tunare and her other minions. These abominations are called the Sifaye. I belive that the strength of the Wakening lands is linked not only to Tunare herself, but her connection with these foul beasts. Bring me the wings of one of their so called knights and the heads of three commoners and I will reward you for such busy work.'

Do not hand in "A Sifaye Wing" which drops off many Sifaye. What is required is the "Wing of a Sifaye Knight" (Magic Lore No Drop) that is dropped (rarely) by the Knights - who are themselves pretty rare.

The heads are dropped by Sifaye Thanes and Troubadours. Reward: Silver Dragon Tattoo

Slaggak's Bounty (Normal): You say, 'Hail, Slaggak the Trainer'

Slaggak the Trainer says 'Hello there, Human. I am Slaggak, the trainer. The Kromrif here will soon be ready to serve the great and honorable King Tormax.

You say, 'I will serve King Tormax'

Slaggak the Trainer says 'So you say, little one. Why are you here, then? You should be out slaying those pestering little Coldain or maybe those damnable shard wurms and wyverns.'

You say, 'What about the Coldain?'

You say, 'What about their skulls?'

Slaggak the Trainer says 'Go from here and seek out the Coldain, slay them, and return to me with their heads. I wish to fashion four skull talismans as I once did. If you can do this for me, I will surely let King Tormax know of your deeds and reward you with a piece of armor from the Militia armory.'

(this is a separate quest)

You say, 'What shard wurms?'

Slaggak the Trainer says 'You must have seen the shard wurms by now! The lizards that roam the lands eating whatever they can find? They can grow to be quite ferocious! Not nearly as ferocious as their ancient cousins, the dragons, but a nuisance nonetheless. We have a bounty on those beasts here in Kael Drakkel.

You say, 'What bounty?'

Slaggak the Trainer says 'If you think you have what it takes to slay the shard wurms or their relatives, the wyverns, bring back proof of your exploits. For every four shard wurm teeth you bring me, I am authorized to reward you with a pair of cerulean greaves. Every fourth ice wyvern stinger will grant you a pair of vambraces.' Reward: Cerulean Vambraces
Reward: Cerulean Greaves

You say, 'I am a mercenary'

Wenglawks Kkeak says 'Well then, I suppose you might be looking for work. Are you?

You say, 'I am looking for work'

Wenglawks Kkeak says 'I have been looking for a few good people to deliver goods for me. I have several deliveries to clients which must be made soon. My last delivery person ended up dead, unfortunately.

You say, 'I wish to undertake it'

Wenglawks Kkeak says 'In the great divide there is a small outpost of kromrif. In that outpost you will find Bekerak, my client. I have acquired this new hunting spear for him and he may wish to test it out. Because of one simple mistake, once in my past, he thinks all of my wares are shoddy. I need the payment for the transaction still so don't let him get away without giving it to you. Take this voucher to Kellek and he will give you the spear.'

Take the note to Kellek Felhammer in the next room. He will give you a spear.

Take the spear to Bekerak Coldbones at the Kromrif outpost. Doing so will spawn an angry shardwurm.

From the shardwurm, loot a Giant Shard Wurm Tooth. Give the tooth to Bekerak, and receive a Giant Icewurm Talisman. Take the talisman to Wenglawks to receive the Bracer of Midnight. Reward: Bracer of Midnight

Strategies of the Ancient Dragons (Normal): This quest begins with Semkak Prophet of Vallon in Kael Drakkel. He is found in the quarters connected to the city's arena, at 1190, 1565, -54.

You say, 'Hail, Semkak Prophet of Vallon'

Semkak Prophet of Vallon says 'You have entered the sacred temple of Vallon Zek. This is the Temple of Strategy. We teach what must be done to be a great leader. Forethought is a powerful tool.

You say, 'Will you teach me?'

Semkak Prophet of Vallon says 'I cannot teach one of your kind the arts of war at this time. I must teach the other Kromzek and Kromrif that proper strategy will allow us to win the war against the dragons. If you were to serve the temple of Vallon, I might consider giving you a few words of advice about strategy.

You say, 'I will serve the temple of Tallon Zek'

Semkak Prophet of Vallon says 'The dragons of Velious are ancient and wise beyond belief. They have ageless strategies to destroy their foes. The Temple of Strategy must gain the knowledge they hold. I have heard rumors of a great dragon burial ground. If this tomb indeed exists, find it and seek out the knowledge of the dragons who are now dead. Bring whatever you believe will teach us their strategies and tactics of the past.

Bring back either a Golden Tablet of Draconic Strategy or a Scroll of Scaled Tactics (dropped by dragon constructs in the Dragon Necropolis) in exchange for a reward.

Upon handing in a Golden Tablet of Draconic Strategy:

Semkak Prophet of Vallon says 'This tablet holds great knowledge. The Temple of Strategy thanks you, ______. Take this and know that your own strategies are wise indeed if you have acquired this tablet from the depths of the dragons' graveyard.'

Your faction standing with Kromrif got better.
Your faction standing with King Tormax got better.
Your faction standing with Claws of Veeshan could not possibly get any worse.

Reward: Book of Strategy
Reward: Shield of Battle

Strife to the Coldain (Normal): Clrakk Blackfist is found in the Iceshard Manor of Kael Drakkel. You will need high Kromzek/Kromrif faction in order for him to speak to you. (What faction level?)

You say, 'Hail, Clrakk Blackfist'

Clrakk Blackfist looks down at you. 'What is it you want, _____? Why do you speak to the great Knight Clrakk Blackfist?'

You say, 'I want to bring strife'

Clrakk Blackfists says 'The Coldain have grown complacent. The defenses of their city are built to keep my kind and dragonkind at bay. However, their defenses against the smaller races such as yourself are not nearly as sophisticated. I wish to kill many Coldain, but now is not the time for that. There is a particular Coldain whose death will strike fear into the hearts of many. His name is Deaen Greyforge, a Coldain knight. He is both feared and respected by his kind. If you can destroy him, it will send a message to the Coldain that they are not safe from the wrath of the giants. Kill him and chop his body into bits. Bring me a few pieces as proof that the fool is dead.'

Deaen spawns in the same hut as Garadain Glacierbane in the Eastern Wastes. Kill him and loot either a Hand of Deaen Greyforge or a Legs of Deaen Greyforge.

Handing Clrakk Blackfists the Hand of Deaen Greyforge results in:

Clrakk Blackfist says 'You truly are a bringer of strife, _____. Take this. I hope it will assist you. Use it in our war against the Coldain scum.'
Your faction standing with Kromrif got better.
Your faction standing with Kromzek got better.
Your faction standing with Coldain got worse.
Your faction standing with Claws of Veeshan got worse.

You receive the Mask of Malediction.

Handing Clrakk Blackfists the Legs of Deaen Greyforge results in:

Clrakk Blackfist says 'You truly are a bringer of strife, Hobbun. Take this. I hope it will assist you. Use it in our war against the Coldain scum.'

Your faction standing with Kromrif got better.
Your faction standing with Kromzek got better.
Your faction standing with Coldain got worse.
Your faction standing with Claws of Veeshan got worse.

You receive the Dark Spear of Venom. Reward: Dark Spear of Venom
Reward: Mask of Malediction

The Family Chest Straps (Normal): You say, 'hail Bjoskhua Blackfist'

Bjoskhua Blackfist's lips do not move, though your mind is filled with a voice. 'What is it you want, mortal? I have little patience for those who do not come here to study.'

You say, 'i wish to study'

Bjoskhua Blackfist looks you over and his voice invades your mind again. 'What is it you wish to study?'

You say, 'who is clrakk?'

Bjoskhua Blackfist says 'Clrakk is my youngest brother. He walks a path of shadows and deceit. If he were to battle, it would not be one without weapons or armor. I may use these as a bargaining chip some day. I do not think my family has any more need of these old chest straps.

You say, 'what chest straps?'

Bjoskhua Blackfist says 'The chest straps are simply a status symbol to some gladiators and warriors. They are passed down from generation to generation. When a warrior enters one of these contests of the fist, they wear the chest straps of their family. My family was awarded a set of the enchanted chest straps ages ago. None of my brothers save Clrakk would even consider entering the contest.

You say, 'what contests of the fist?'

Bjoskhua Blackfist says 'Ages ago there was a race of fish men named the Kedge. Prexus spread them throughout the waters of the world and they were prosperous. Rumors abound that even near the waters of velious they had great cities. All at once they seemed to be wiped from the face of Norrath. One of the travelers I recently spoke to informed me that a single Kedge may still live in the lands of Faydwer. As grotesque as it sounds, the backbone of a Kedge may be used to create indestructible scroll cases. Bring me the backbone of this fishman, if he exists, and you will find yourself a richer person.'

Bring him back the backbone of Phinigel Autropos from Kedge (yes, the backbone also used in the bard epic):

Bjoskhua Blackfist says 'Excellent, I guess his entire race is now wiped from Norrath. This will indeed make a wonderful scroll case. I am a giant of my word. Take your prized item and be gone, you greedy little beast!'

Need all dialogues, current faction hits if any, /loc of Bjoskhua Blackfist, info on other quest rewards if any, minimum faction required to get quest, etc. Reward: Flayed Coldain-Skin Leggings

The Supply Run - Eastern Wastes (Normal): Svekk Fangbinder is a Merchant who can be found in the hall with lesser nobles, diagonally opposite the bank.

You say, 'hail Svekk Fangbinder'

Svekk Fangbinder says 'Greetings, Kabal . I am Svekk, a humble servant of Wenglawks. It is my job to keep track of the supplies here. I also sell mundane wares.

You say, 'what supplies'

Svekk Fangbinder says 'We have all kinds of supplies! Normally we deliver them to the giants who live outside Kael.

You say, 'what giants'

Svekk Fangbinder says 'There are several encampments in the eastern wastes that barter for supplies with us monthly. The great divide also has a small outpost of Kromrif who strive to beat the Coldain back into their city of Thurgadin and of course the outposts in the wakening lands. Our last batch of deliveries did not reach their intended targets. The runners have not been heard from since they were dispatched either.

You say, 'what eastern wastes'

Svekk Fangbinder says 'The Kromrif of the Eastern wastes are more savage then those who dwell within Kael Drakkel. Normally they can fend for themselves but recently Fjloaren of the Icebane clan has requested we help them with a shipment of supplies. We have yet to receive payment for the supplies but you are more then welcome to purchase supplies for them and deliver them. It has been a most unforgiving season upon the wastes I believe.

Give 500gp to Svekk and you will receive a Giant Sack of Supplies.

Fjloaren (at the Giant Fort loc: -1500, 3000ish) will give you a Velium Torc to return to Svekk, who will rewards you with approximately 100gp and faction for completing the mission.
The Supply Run - Great Divide (Normal): You say, 'Hail, Svekk Fangbinder'

Svekk Fangbinder says 'Greetings, ______. I am Svekk, a humble servant of Wenglawks. It is my job to keep track of the supplies here. I also sell mundane wares.'

You say, 'What supplies?'

Svekk Fangbinder says 'We have all kinds of supplies! Normally we deliver them to the giants who live outside Kael.

You say, 'What giants?'

The runners have not been heard from since they were dispatched either.'

You say, 'What great divide?'

Svekk Fangbinder says 'If you wish to deliver supplies to the warriors in the great divide that is wonderful. One small problem arises. I do not know you Ogre. I would not trust you as far as I could throw a dragon. If you pay for the supplies and deliver them the men at the fortress will surely repay you. A pack of basic supplies only costs a meager five hundred gold pieces. If you choose to purchase the supplies and deliver them take them to a man named Bekerak Coldbones at the outpost.'

-50pp will buy a "Giant Sack of Supplies"

Bekerak (at the Giant Fort loc: -3011, -2766ish) gives you a note for Svekk, who gives you a Voucher tells you upon return that he needs a Klezendian Crystal (uncommon drop from random orcs in the Crystal Caverns). When you return the voucher and crystal, Svekk gives you a Large Supply Sack for Bekerak. Upon delivery to Bekerak you receive the Kromrif Battle Totem.

The Supply Run - Wakening Land (Normal): You say, 'hail Svekk Fangbinder'

You say, 'what wakening land'

Svekk Fangbinder says 'Korzak Stonehammer is the name of the man whom we usually deliver to in the Wakening Land. His men are attempting to expand Kael further into that
accursed forest. If you buy a pack of supplies and deliver it to him I am sure he would repay you handsomely. A single pack will only cost you a mere five hundred pieces of gold.

Korzak (at the Giant Laborers -1374, -4432ish) will ask you to help him retreive some helmets from the flying monkey beasts of the Wakening Land...this is the Horagash that fly about the zone.

Tiny Savages (Normal): Yetarr stands on the right side of the throne-room of King Tormax.

You say, 'Hail, Yetarr'

Yetarr says '______, your name has reached my ears more than a few times. Rumors fly that your kind will be the downfall of both the dragons and the Coldain.'

You say, 'What about the dragons?'

Yetarr says 'The dragons are not my primary concern, Kyenka has a greater hatred for them. I leave matters regarding to them in his capable hands. My worries are of the Coldain.'

You say, 'What about the Coldain?'

Yetarr says 'I do not fully trust the Kromrif to keep Kael Drakkel protected from the menace of the tiny savages. The Kromrif do not actively seek to kill them. If the Coldain are left to breed they will one day swarm over Kael and no number of Kromzek warriors will be able to save us.'

You say, 'What kromrif?'

Yetarr says 'The Frost giants who call Kael their home have grown far too lax. So few of them train daily and actively seek out the Coldain to slay. I have advised King Tormax to send Kromzek raiding parties to raze Thurgadin, however, each time he reminds me that our strongest warriors must stay to guard against the dragon menace. What I need is a band of mercenaries to seek out and assassinate key Coldain leaders. We must destroy their ability to make war.'

You say, 'I will assassinate.'

Yetarr says 'Perhaps assassinate is not the best word. I simply wish the death of some of the more compitent (sic) advisors of that foolish Dain. Within the halls of Icewell keep dwells a huntsman that has stood by the Dains side since he was a mere child. The court scribe is also more then he appears to be. Bring me their heads, I will reward you for each one. That is the only proof I will take of their deaths.'

The scribe is 100% Magic Resistant to all but fire spells (I think).

Turning in the head of the Royal Scribe will result in a reward of Coldain Skin Gloves.

Turning in the head of the Royal Huntsman will result in a reward of Coldain Skin Boots.

Yetarr says `The death of this one must be causing great strife amoung the Coldain. Your work is greatly appreciated. I wish I could reward you with more, but these boots are among the few things I have to give.'

You gain experience!!

Faction hits and final dialogues needed. Reward: Coldain Skin Boots
Reward: Coldain Skin Gloves

Toolset Delivery (Normal): You say, 'hail Wenglawks Kkeak'

Wenglawks Kkeak says 'Greetings, Kabal , I have heard of you. My name is Wenglawks Kkeak. Welcome to my humble home. My sources tell me you are a mercenary. Is this true?

You say, 'I am a mercenary'

Wenglawks Kkeak says 'Well then, I suppose you might be looking for work. Are you?

Vkjor's Major Task (Normal): You say, 'Hail, Vkjor'

You say, 'Something else.'

Vkjor says 'What is it you need? Do you wish to be a gladiator or something along those lines? I do not allow your kind to fight in the arena, I am sorry to say. It is a sacred place for the children of Zek. If you wish to hone your battle skills, however, I do have several things I need taken care of.'

You say, 'What do you need taken care of?'

Vkjor says 'I have several things which must be dealt with. However I must know if you are capable of the tasks before I send you off. Do you fight like an ice wurm or a dragon?'

You say, 'I fight like a dragon.'

Vkjor says 'If you fight like a dragon, I suppose destroying one might not be that hard for you. Several years ago, Nevederia led a flight of dragons to defile the Temple of Rallos Zek. We beat them back to the skies but not without our losses.'

You say, 'What losses?'

Vkjor says 'My youngest son, Vkjrog, now rests with Rallos Zek in the Plane of War. The loss has sapped me nearly of my will to live. However, a few things keep me going - my duty to keep the arena in order and the knowledge that I might still bring pain and suffering to Nevederia. I wish her to suffer as I did with the loss of a child. She may stay safe in the Temple of Veeshan but her brood does not. Slay her three children and bring me proof of their deaths so they may serve as my message to Nevederia. I will compensate you with a pair of gloves fit for a fine warlord if you can give me this satisfaction.'

The three dragons are Draazak, Jerigozia, and Veredenia, all found in the Western Wastes. Loot a claw from each and hand them in to Vkjor.

Vkjor looks down at you, shocked. 'I honestly did not expect you to be able to destroy her children, ______. Vkjrog must have guided your hand as you slew those beasts. Nevederia will now know sorrow the like of which she has never felt.' Vkjor drops a shiny pair of gauntlets on the ground before you as he turns his attention to the bloody claws he now holds.

Your faction standing with Kromzek has been adjusted by 75.
Your faction standing with Kromrif has been adjusted by 18.
Your faction standing with King Tormax has been adjusted by 18.

Vkjor's Minor Task (Normal): You say, 'Hail, Vkjor'

Vkjor says 'Greetings, Ogre. Welcome to the great arena of Kael Drakkel. I am Vkjor, master of the arena. The games begin and end when I wish them to. Gladiators train themselves year round to entertain the populace of Kael. Have you come to watch, or is there something else I can help you with?'

You say, 'There is something else you can help me with.'

You say, 'I fight like an ice wurm.'

Vkjor says 'Very well, young one. A friend of mine named Graktar recently traveled to the Eastern Wastes in search of the remains of his brother, Vkalth. Please take this note to Graktar and assist him in his search. Return to me when you have news of his fate.'

You receive a Large Note. Graktar Bluehammer may be found in the Iceclad Ocean (/loc?). He doesn't respond to hails, so give him the note.

Graktar Bluehammer says, 'So, Vkjor has sent you to assist me? He must want me back fighting in the arena as soon as possible if he'd send a mercenary out here to help me. My brother Felkak went missing no less than a fortnight ago. He told me he was traveling to the great Eastern Wastes to hunt, however, I have found no sign of him. My younger brother often lied about where he was going in order to be 'free'. Take my ring and search the lands for one that looks exactly like it. If my brother is alive, show him this ring and he will give you his, to prove to me that he is alive. If he is dead... Bring me his ring as proof that he is. I have heard that he may be near the Tower of Frozen Shadows but many times have I warned him not to enter that dread place. You may wish to begin your search in that area.'
You gain experience!!

You receive Graktar's Signet Ring, no known use. The item he wants is called a "Signet Ring" and drops inside the Tower of Frozen Shadow. Return it to him.

Graktar Bluehammer swipes the ring from your outstretched hand. 'Yes, this is Felkak's ring, a twin of my own. He would never part with this willingly so this is truly a sign of his passing. I thank you for delivering this news to me. Though it saddens me deeply, at least I will know now what has become of him. One day I may return to the arena but for now I must wander these lands to cool the fury of my heart. Please take what little coins I have as thanks in return.'
You gain experience!!
You receive 5 platinum from Graktar Bluehammer.
Wage War Upon The Coldain (Normal): You say, 'Hail, a kromrif recruiter'

a kromrif recruiter says 'Greetings, little thing. You have entered into the great city of Kael Drakkel, home of the Kromzek as well as a few of my kind, the Kromrif. If you are to walk among my people as a peer you must prove yourself as a friend, not a foe.'

You say, 'I will prove myself as a friend'

a kromrif recruiter says 'Leave this place then and return when you have waged war upon the Coldain. Remove their heads from their bodies and return them to me. I will spread the word of your deeds amongst my people if you do so, Lias.'

You say, 'what about the Coldain?'

a kromrif recruiter says 'The Coldain are the ice dwarves who dwell in the city of Thurgadin. They are a blight upon the land known as Velious, speaking the word of their god, Brell.'

On handing in heads you get faction, and...

A kromrif recruiter says 'Very good, ______. Slay more of the beasts and your name will be known by all of the Kromrif!'

Note: If you are seeking to improve Kael faction then you would be well advised to switch from this quest to "Bvellous Bounty" as soon as you are Dubious to Captain Bvellous, and gain faction with King Tormax.

You say, 'Hail, Fjokar Frozenshard'

Fjokar Frozenshard says, 'Today is a good day in Kael Drakkel. Don't you think?'

You say, 'Today is a good day'

Fjokar Frozenshard snickers. Do you always repeat what others say, _____? Pestering me is a good way to end up dead.

You say, 'How will I end up dead?'

Fjokar Frozenshard pats an ice covered spear at his side. 'This spear has been the demise of many. A swift stab to the back of an unsuspecting foe is all that it takes. I am still waiting for that thick headed Wenglawks to discover who has been killing his poor couriers.'

You say, 'Tell me about Wenglawks'

Fjokar Frozenshard says 'Wenglawks masquerades as a noble. As family lines go, his is even more diluted than those two Iceshard brothers. He is a petty merchant and traitor. One day I will find my proof of this.'

You say, 'Who are the Iceshard brothers?'

Fjokar Frozenshard says 'Klaggan and Vorken, those two ruffians who somehow have managed to become the lords of the Kromrif manor. They were nothing but a pair of thugs no less than twenty years ago. I remember watching them kill and maim the innocent among the Kromrif tribes. If it were not for King Tormax's protection, I would slay them.'

You say, 'What about the Kromrif?'

Fjokar Frozenshard says 'The Frost giants are a proud race, but they are not nearly as powerful and blessed as we Kromzek. Our cousins may be strong, but the might of an enraged storm giant is something to behold.'

You say, 'What about courier?'

Fjokar Frozenshard says 'Those Kromzek deserve to die. They know very well what he is up to. I will hunt them for sport, moving silently through the streets of Kael Drakkel, and invisibly through the outside world. Wenglawks has some sort of underhanded deals going on with the dragons. I have yet to find anything which will persuade King Tormax to allow me to slay him, unfortunately.'

Fjokar is seeking a sealed letter dropped by a Shardwing Courier in the Western Wastes, which roams a north-south path along the far eastern boundary of the zone.

Upon handing in the "Sealed Letter":

Fjokar Frozenshard says 'You have found what I was unable to. King Tormax's protection of Wenglawks will end soon. His death will be so very delightful to invoke.' Fjokar rushes out of the room, dropping his spear as he does.'
