Well, since someone suggested "Favorite Anime", for me it'd either have to be Twelve Kingdoms or Maria-sama Ga Miteru based on sheer number of times I've watched them, though Overlord is quickly catching up(and I'm preordering the light novels as they come out in the US). That last one might be because I was once more or less in a place where he is in RL at the beginning of the show so it kinda resonates with me. Still really miss my guildmates.

That out of the way, I haven't much been keeping up with anything this season. Still liking Izetta. Love Ancient Magus Bride, but hate its OVA-tastic release schedule. Everything else is short episode shows. Instead, I've marathoned Lucifer on Hulu and iZombie on Netflix(12 ep in). And watched Overlord again.

I guess my favorites are still Ranma and Slayers. I'm sure if I took a few more seconds to really think about it my answer would be different, but besides One Piece they're the only two shows I can really see myself rewatching.

I love 12 Kingdoms. It's probably my second favorite fantasy anime (Scrapped Princess is still number 1.)

If I had to pick a favorite series ever I'd probably say Haibane Renmei. It's a very slow burn, and I honestly have no idea why I love it so much, but I really do love it.

Hmm. Isn't 12 Kingdoms the one with the annoying girl who cries all the time? I'm pretty sure when I was in college I worked as a proofreader and distributor for a few fansub groups. One that was doing 12 Kingdoms.

All I really remember is the girl being annoying and crying in everyone episode. And I don't recall it being very popular at the time of release (relatively speaking).

She's like that for the first few episodes but gets over it as time goes on.

Really though, that sort of reaction is pretty realistic. Pretend you're an average moody high school girl. You have a normal, boring life, and then one day a guy show up and proclaims you the queen of fantasy land. Then monsters try to kill you, a magical battle happens, and you get pulled into a fantasy world with no help or explanation. Would you really act like a cliche Hero in those circumstances? No. You'd probably freak the fuck out and cry and scream and be confused as hell (see also, Tidus.) It may be a little annoying, but it also made Youko a much more believable character.

I enjoy recommending people series, even when they don't ask.

But can I really trust the recommendations of someone who has the best anime rated 8/10?

Code: Geass. Action and intrigued nonstop.

I've actually watched a fair chunk of Code Geass, but honestly I thought it was pretty rubbish. The action is very frequent but unsatisfying and boring, and it rather ruins the pacing.

It takes a while. She goes crazy. There's character growth. All in all, it's kinda cool.

Edit: I loved ScraPrin. Love how the one lady was a badass wizard because she was macroing her spells.
