Fungus Covered Scale Tunic is my favorite twink armor for monk, although the -Agi bites, with newer gear, that can be made up for, and +15 worn regen is amazing at lower levels, add in some regen and skinspike potions and a descent weapons, and your set as long as you keep your wt reasonable.

There a few others, such as Horns of Frenzy, and Gold Inlaid Ulak that are good too, but the Knotted are better than those, and the two Katars are easier to get.

Fish Bone darts, both types are an excellent ranged weapon, with low delay, low wt, and exceptional range. Not too difficult to make once you get your fishing and fletching skills up.

Before defiant, I stuck with the stuff listed above + Wu's for low wt armor, as the FCST and weapons, especially store-bought ranged weapons really get you to the lower level wt limits fast. But with regen, good weapons and keeping your wt down and Agi up so you don't loose avoidance AC, you don't really need anything else till the 40s or maybe higher.

Both nice. The helm is a bit heavy when you compare it to the new player made jewelry (See Gnomish Jewelcrafting Gizmotron) which is all 0.1 wt, and give great stats with good augs even by level 20.

The leggings are especially nice for the brilliant light source they provide.

Most 2hb are pretty heavy, but the Bamboo Bo Stick is very fast (8 / 20) and only weighs 1.0. A few others that are fast:

There are alot more, but slower for similar ratio. And I didn't mention the MOsscovered Branch 5 / 15 as I'm not sure if it still drops, and there are very few on each server, but it is the fastest 2HB in game so great for skilling up with, if you can find one.

The trouble with the original fishbone darts is that they are not magic.

2nd post in the thread (first reply to you) mentioned the fishbone darts as a useful monk tool.

This was good advice.

Jonwin pointed out in the post prior to your "what?" post that the first ones (of the darts) you can make are not magic. Magic weapons required to hit (damage) some monsters in game. Willowisps come to mind.
