Trakanon's Teeth is a swampy forest region located in the southern portion of Kunark.

Streams from its lake feed in to the Swamp of No Hope to the West and flow in and around the ruins of Sebilis, the ancient Iksar city long ago destroyed by Trakanon.

Yes - Renux drops Ravenscale Armor

However, Renux spawns in Steamfont - not in Trak's Teeth

I was in a group hunting for Sebilis keys all weekend on Tallon Zek. Unfortunately we couldn't find the forager anywhere. We got the hunter fairly easily and managed to get 5 medalions from him, but we completely struck out on the forager. I've heard that following the stream from the swamp zone to the lake should turn him up. After spending an unbelievable amount of time in trak's teeth with next to nothing to show for it I'm wondering if the spawn is broken/bugged. Has anyone taken out the forager recently, say since last patch? Where?

I was in a group to get a key for my husband two days ago and was able to find both frogs. (so 10/31)

You are correct about where to look for the forager. I have been told that it can also appear near Sebilis. To hunt these things without someone that has tracking can be a pain. Even with tracking its more challenging to find the forager.

Get a ranger or friendly druid to help you :)

Once you find the forager/hunter ONCE, you can find him again very quickly. He often goes down near Sebilis and gets lost. Look around all over the zone and kill him...as soon as he dies, track the next one and you are home free from then on.

Have always had luck sitting at about location (+1800, +3400) right near the river leading to the Lake in Zone... close to entrance from Swamp of No Hope. Got enough medallions in 2 hours for my group of 3 to get the 2 keys each we sought (individually, of course). Medallions are lore, so this time included a trip to Ganak after we all got a set of medallions each. Then back for second set and another "Key" each.
and good fun was had by all....

ok, so, with a group of 4 people, all in our 40's, this zone was pretty easy. the only thing that ran us off was traxasaurous rex, but that was cause someone (gotta love this) decided to kite him right through our camp. the spectral houses are really good xp for a long time, with fairly good loot and xp. they have a low aggro radius, so pulling them is easy, even though they are all grouped together. just about everything else near the zone lines is easily killable by a group in their 40's. only downside to this zone is how far away from a bind spot it is! (unless you are insane enough to bind yourself in city of mist... and NOT hunt there =P ). anyhow, i'll modify this post as i gain more info

in the zone, go to the tunnel that leads to the swamp zoneline. it is safe to sit and heal/med there. once you are full and ready, walk a few steps out of the tunnel. you should be able to find a frog, or cat fairly easily. the plants and dino's hit hard for what they con. pull with darkness, and bring your target back to the tunnel mouth. your parked pet should be running out to greet you now. once darkness is on, fear. the mobs like to run right along the zone wall, and so almost never agro friends. once you have finished this mob off, head back to the tunnel. if you took alot of damage, and you find yourself at full mana, zone into the swamp, and just a little way in you'll find a bunch of "fallen iksar" these are great greens for lifetapping, and as a nice bonus they give cabalis guards and cabalis necro faction bonus with no negative faction hits. eventually you will gain enough faction to do the bonechip quest with the cabalis guards in field of bone. and after around 1k chips, you should be scott free in cabalis.

It is a well known fact amongst people who do this zone a lot that the Froglok Forager and Hunter, who drop the medallions for the Sebilis key quest, are the placeholders for MANY named spawns. Any time either of the frogs are killed they will respawn instantly in another random location, so with a good group you can have CONSTANT pulls. About 15% of the time they will respawn as a named npc, half of them dropping nothing, the other half dropping NICE items. There is a guide to who drops what on another board somewhere, I guess someone will repost it here eventually, maybe me, i need the karma a post like that would bring.

Some things that are dropped from these rares:

Knobbed Warclub
Meditative Blanket
Ceremonial Iksar Chestplate
Hangman's Noose
Silken Cat Fur Girdle
Ghostly Robes
Iksar Hide Mask

There is an etiquette to this area, just like many others. Since folks generally have to kill the forager or hunter MULTIPLE times for each rare, they take great exception to folks "poaching" the rares when they spawn. If you're looking to get banned from every future raid and plane trip, this'll do it, at least on our server.

Also, the hunter and forager drop spells around 1 in 20 times. There are "loose" areas in which both spawn, as well ... it's not completely random. Finally, from my point above, do a "camp check" before hunting the froggies. On our server, they're camped pretty frequently during peak hours, but usually available other times.

hehe - on cazic-thule during peak hours, this zone is still pretty dead. iffen ya on, come and do fun things in EJ and trak's teeth - they awesome zones
Great, yet underused zone.

I rarely see more than 10 people in this zone on a given night. Especially since it has extremely nice items. There's the named sabertooth tiger, level 50, that drops the Silken-cat girdle, 5AC +9str +13dex 1.5weight. Froglok Hunters and Foragers that drop the medallions needed for the key to get into Old Sebelis. There also a regenerative breastplate (can't remember its name) that drops off an Iskar Crusader in there. There's a named plant that drops a nice whip, and the spectral Iskar there have nice loot and great EXP. I've leveled in 7 hours there (from level 33 to level 34) with just me (paladin), a bard, and a necro, just used fear/snare tactics on the Spectrals there. Great zone, but I believe its underused and underappreciated.
