This area is sandwiched between Cabilis, the Field of Bone, Firiona Vie, and Trakanon's Teeth. It is a "hub" of sorts for the Frogloks of Kunark, who built a large city here close to the water source which feeds the swamp.

The Iksars of Cabilis, while enemies of the Frogloks, have allowed the Frogloks to keep their outpost in their own part of the swamp. The swamp itself is maintained by a water source stemming from Trakanon's Teeth. Travelling through this reservoir alone is not recommended as it is infested with highly aggressive, bloodthirsty ravengers. Be watchful of the wandering undead and local plantlife while traversing these age-old wetlands.

Hunting from level 14

Hail and well met, all! There is a place in the Swamp of No Hope -- on a hilltop just behind the twin statues -- where creatures running from high green to red pass by, but never disturb you. It seemed odd to me, considering they were passing on all sides (frogloks and skellies included (which are aggro plus KOS)), that 10 hours of hunting in the region brought me tons of things to fight, but never a disturbance while resting and meditating. I don't know the loc off the top of my head, but its where you see the one tall statue, the one tall on its back, and the small shrine with a statue's head within. The location I'd med was on the very mild peak just behind the standing statue (behind when you line up all three statues.)

yeah, I hunt there a lot. If your're smart you can group with another and take these things down at a low lvl (I hunt there as a lvl 9 SK, with a lvl 12 Nec, and sometimes a lvl 10 monk) It's nice xp, especially if you pull a skellie from the house across, or a froggie that walks by) The wandering monsters DON'T KoS. Watch out for the nibblers and their ilk, if you don't have magic, or a magic weapon, don't bother, they can't be hit by norm weapons. I must admit, I don't know why no one hunts here...
Good and safe from levels 25 to 31 near Bandit camp

I've been using this area as a Iksar SK since level 25 when I did the SK Test of Pain Quest. I'm level 31 and I will soon have to abandon this nice spot. There is a pillar near this camp where I park my pet nearby. I roam the area looking for blues which are typically Man Eating Vines, Scourgewing Mosquitos, Venomous Lampreys which are all good XP, but terrible loot (a couple of silver). The better loot blues are Frogloks (Tons, Gaz Knights, Vis & Shin Shaman) which can have 2-3 plat and occasional nice runes, words, and gems, and more rarely a FS weapon. Icebone,Warbone and Charbone skels are nearly rare but provide nice XP and coin. Iksar Pariahs and Exiles round out the list of nice targets that frequent this area. Something I noticed about the spawn was that most MOB types spawn in pairs, i.e. if a Ton Warrior spawns another will be along shortly so keep your eyes open and your Mana maxed. Overall, this area is excellent for an Iksar since merchants are a short run as well as the bank in East Cab. Enjoy!
Random Named Spawns

There are approx 14 named spawns in this zone that drop nothing. When you kill one of them another instantly spawns at a random spot in the zone. I got tired of following the chain after killing about 20 of them (which one spawns is random as well, so there could be more). Perhaps eventually there is a quest NPC who spawns if you do this long enough. They all do, however, drop a lot of money for their level, up to 10pp at times from monsters no higher than the rest of the wanderers in the zone.

Yes. I killed about a dozen myself. One thing I do have to say about some of these Named NPCs is that they are RICH! The Froglock berserker consitantly dropped 6pp and change. Another dropped 8pp and another dropped 10pp. I was blown away. Good thing they appear in random places or they would be camped 7/24.
