Thalassius was built by the Combine Loyalists and is the home of the Kedge. Beneath the ruins-filled surface is the Coral Keep. Dark, wet and cavernous in nature, this area is also home to numerous other sea-dwelling creatures.

As is the case with the Shissar, the Kedge are quite unwelcoming of visitors. One reason for this is the Combine Loyalists who performed experiments on the Kedge, drawing the ire of the Ocean Lord, Prexus, in the process. One can still see the results of those experiments, as the survivors remain in the deepest part of the keep, lurking in and around the laboratories and chambers in which they were held.

Im a 72 ranger, and i solo here. Learned a few things so far:
1. For sure the little green guys summon, including muckdiver
2. The crabs do not summon, this includes rockcrusher
3. The regrua naturewalkers are by far the best mobs to solo, because they cast alot, the rangers get their "Double Damage" with their bow shots while they are casting, which almost doubles the speed of killing. They cast many spells which are easily resisted, IE: Ice, Engorging Roots, Sylvan Burn, etc. They also heal themselves around 40-50% hp and will run out of mana after that. They can also dispell themselves so careful and watch if snare wears when ur kiting.

solo at 72, these mobs give me 1% a kill, and they are white, good exp for solo, not sure about aa tho.

My fav spot to kite is at the SW end of the water behind the spire, it is flat ground and is easy to kite at. The entrance has very weird pathing and there can be adds, so i usually dont kite there. Very fun solo zone overall

After spending several hours over the course of a few days just killing everything in this zone the best I can say about it is the experience is pretty good, especially from the yellow Kedge "experiment" mobs. But the spawn rate for named is far too low, methinks, and I haven't yet found one decent zone-wide drop.

I think there's better RvR to be had out there so unfortunately I think this zone is likey to remain empty or nearly so unless/until they improve the drop quality and/or rate.

The reason this is an indoor zone is because it is underwater in a dome hence the expansion name The Buried Sea

That doesn't make sense though because Katta is the same situation and it's been flagged as outdoors...

This is an interesting zone, although as a druid, I destest the fact that it's been flagged as "indoors." What's depressing is even tho this expansion is what 2-3 weeks old the zone is mostly empty even during prime time. There have to be more named spawns than what's listed here but it might take months to find them all since nobody's really camping this zone. Which contrasts so sharply in memory with then high level zones like WoS, MPG and RSS where the named mobs were identified within days because of the high level of player activity inside these challenging zones.

When you update your signature, does this site auto update any sigs that went with old posts ? I just noticed this post was from 2007, but your sig shows a level 85 crew, which that level cap didn't come out until 2008.
