The surviving members of Gnomish Expedition 328 have established themselves in Corathus Creep, located beneath the surface of Nektulos Forest and leading to the Depths of Darkhollow. The catch ? They are spirits inside clockwork machines, and have quite the establishment set up here.

First time into the zone today. MOLO, level 56 non-twinked Ranger with Cleric merc and average weapons (using Flint Dagger for Conflag proc and various defiant weaps/gear).

Gnomes and Clockworks at entry did not attack (I rarely use Wolf Form). Went through gnomes to north and fought a Sporali or two. The had average hit points, but the completel heals were a nuisance. Took forever to beat a single one down. Decide to go around to south central area. Creepers and worm things there. Worms only seem to come solo, but creepers are social. I just pulled them up the hill towards the non-KOS gnomes were. They were EASY but slow kills. Never was in danger even when I got three. I only had to switch back and forth to keep aggro off my merc so that the self cast thorns would help with DPS. Decent XP, but not much better than CoM when you look at XP over time.

Big bonus here, mobs seem to be very weak to Ensnare and Root. Roots were lasting entire cycle as were snares. When I only pulled one I switched to a lesser weapon skill and worked it up as there zero threat of dying. Some other zones there is just too much going on to do this. Even worked on hand to hand just for kicks.

Easy zone for characters who can hold a mob in place, but they do run FAST and mobs are packed in tight. In other words, if you can't root or snare quickly and effectively it is not going to be much fun.
Terrible Zone

This zone sucks.

MOBs take way too long to kill, the walls are rounded so no posting up during melee and the MOBS run. If a runner slips by you you're screwed because he'll grab a train of friends, which should be manageable but because the MOBs in this zone seem to take 5 mins each, even at light blue you might as well just let them swarm you and get ready to get zapped back to your soulbinder.

I would hate it even more but Blade of Once Bitten to dropped while I was leveling.
Good XP and Plat

I came to this zone at about lvl 57 with my WE Druid. Nothing was kos except creepers and bugs, all conned either light or dark blue. With my tank merc everything went pretty smoothly and xp was good. When I started selling I found that plat was pretty good to. I've been staying to wait for the belt to drop. it says it's rare, but seems more like ultra rare. I'm lvl 64 now and can't really wait much longer. xp gain has dropped a lot now. Creep Reapers are light blue and bugs are green. I was really hoping for the belt, but I seemed to have gotten just about every drop but.
Decent XP While it's a Hotzone

I've been soloing here on my ranger since level 49 with a cleric merc. I completely avoided killing the sporali because they're a huge pain. Creep reapers have a large hp pool it seems, and decent avoidance, but they have been a good consistent source of XP for the last few levels. I will probably stay here until 58 or so. Been killing at the place labeled "gate" on my map. Killing the little maggot slug things when reapers aren't up.

I took my 95 Zerker with 4K AA's and a Cleric Merc. I was even guild lobby buffed. However, agro range is very tight and They hit like a mack truck. My decap doesn't seem to hit very often on them as well. I'm not sure why this is the case, but I tried 3 different weapons and got the same result. I can Decap in The Grounds easier than this place any day and get decent drops for alts or guildies.

Go if you need something there, but not if you want to have a place to yourself or ????

My 2 cents.

If it's that hard for a 95 thats really saying something.

Theyve never had this back when I first started and you'd think since it's in Antonica the health percent would stay average for the entire continent's zones

If you're getting killed by stuff here at 95 you suck.
Skip this place

Don't waste your time in this place, for some reason the mob difficulty seems abit wonky here. Was using a Zerker with tank merc and a beastlord with cleric merc and it still took forever for the mobs to die. Just a heads up, my experience, do whatever you want.
I'm up for the challange

I got my butt handed to me last night...I'm going for revenge though. Always root the mob first, and keep them rooted, they like to run. The blues are a lot harder than I thought they'd be soloing. I'll get them next time, though.
CC FYI

When I explore a zone I have never been to I always would like a little bit information besides drops and quest so as an FYI; for a level 50 warrior at the zone line; things were conning light blue to dark blue. Agro was bad; pulled at least 4 at a time and they do run and bring friends. I would suggest to bring along a good damagers and someone who can snare or mez and of course duable with mercs but could be hard to solo; not saying it cannot be done. This is a great place if you are a gnome.

Hello,
The zone "Lichen Creep" that @JuniorTK is referring to is a UF expansion Tier 8 zone, Still locked behind Tier 7 progression tasks and missions to gain access to.

Here is a link to the UF progression guide if you wish to do the arc of quests (T6 and T7 arcs of quests still have to be completed for access - Jun 22-2013 :

Good Luck.

# Jan 30 2007 at 1:48 AM Rating: Decent
there is supposedly an exp transfer device in here somwhere, that it has been said that yuo can transfer exp from 1 evoling item to another, regardless of type. That is what the game told a guildie today, yet it would do said transfer from a nogglegrop shield to a cloak.. any idea what the problem was?

Got tired of putting notes by each gnome that was listed as being level 70 when infact there green cons to a level 70.

All the named gnomes in main camp except for Navigator and Slipgear and Gnome that runs the exp tranfer machine for int/evolveing items are green cons to level 70. They all drop saltpeter when killed and they drop it every time.

If you are non kos to gnomes and atleast lite blue then none will assist as you kill them they will assist if you use wake the dead extra pet spells though.

Once you move down tunel towards creep reaper area the high level gnomes in area near belfast will assist if you agro mobs near them.

Faction with camp gnomes drops every kill while reaper faction increases. I actualy managed to max posative reaper faction but creep reapers were still Kos to me at corathus wall. The higher level reapers were indiferent but wouldnt talk there was one highlevel one laying down that conned ready to attack but infact was non agro.

Invis
# Mar 22 2006 at 7:49 AM Rating: Decent
Quick Question...

Do any of these mobs see invis?
RE: Invis
# Apr 23 2006 at 9:41 AM Rating: Decent
As far as I have seen no mobs see invis in CC. There are only a couple areas you need to watch out for......areas with creepers and corathus squirmers they will attack you. The creepers are LB and the squirmers are green to lvl 70 (generally) but they tend to gang up on you. There is another area of DB creepers near the wells, these are event mobs that have lots of HP. Faction can be an issue if you start taking out the other mobs.

Important note, wolf form is KoS in this zone, apparently regardless of faction. And KoS to the NPC's as well as the mobs.

=D CC is a cute little zone with alot of cute little guys for Quest and selling stuff there are mops off the paths lol but none who would kill a lvl 70... Only way you will get attacked when ya zone INTO CC is attack them first..

Undershore is a whole diff story =D lol they mobs will eat ya lol but 70s should still have been able to kill them =/.. My grp did hehe ... Any way I always use invise and Lev to get to Freemind.. Zone in drop down and there ya are..

CC vs Undershore

It seems that some are getting CC and undershore confused... no basilisks or Freemind Cipher in CC, they're in undershore.

Wandered into this zone the other day very cautiously as I had never even heard of the zone. Conned everything and they were quite friendly to me so I just assumed this to be a safe zone. From what I read here I guess not.

62 mage wandered into Corathus just the other day very cautiously 'cause I had never heard of the zone. Conned a few things while invis then dropped invis and conned. I ran into no mobs that wanted to kill me, in fact they were quite friendly towards me. I just assumed it was a safe zone after that, but it sounds like it is not.

i came in here to do a MM when i was lvl 35 or something... and i did not expect everyone in my group (which by the way i was the only one who wasnt 70)to get completely slaughtered. we went across this little pond to get to a guy named freemind cypher;.... now this lake as filled with basilisks, and i thought "hmm, basilisks, they cant be that tough" and was i wrong. they hit for 6 or 7 hundred dmg, and everyone in my group got killed. they have a big aggro radius, and there are alot of them. seems to me this place isnt.... SAFE...

I have found only 2 kos mobs. The Creep's and those bugs with Corathus in their names. Most expect a low level zone and its not. The Creep's run fast even snared and hit for almost 600.
