If your map for this zone is as screwed up as mine was you'll want to copy this and paste it over yours in your Vxed_1 map
took me a couple hours fixing all these cause I killed the whole zone till a named popped and mark the map.

Open the Vxed instance by saying "vxed" to Apprentice Udranda in Barindu. This expedition allows 1-6 players.

Inside Vxed, clear toward the northeast. After about 50 mobs killed, you get a zone emote saying "A series of low chants comes to you from the Northeast, as Stonespiritist Ekikoa emerges from the shadows." Finish clearing to the northeast room and hail the NPC that spawned to receive your flag. You can zone out using the stone slab right behind her.

The name of the NPC is Apprentice Udranda. He is near the entrance of Vxed standing in a little stream around the corner.

soloing notes

One thing I've noticed for if you have some summoning mobs in bad spots. As Thicket stated, mobs that you snare don't return to their spawn point after you zone, they just sit where they are when you zone.

What I noticed tonight is that they continue to sit there even after the spell effects have worn off. I would assume though that if you aggro them again without resnaring, they will reset.

That being the case, I have now started parking up to 4 mobs behind my kill area because i hate messing with the lockout timer on getting bad zone spawns. Anyhow, hope that info was worthwhile for peeps.

I've just finished soloing the whole expedition :). I've been working on this for a few days and finally it's possible.

It took me some 2h30 to kill 50 mobs and then heading to the spiritmaster (between half a dozen of ukuns and the whole room of mobs).

If you want to have fun and xp (between 3.5 and 4 aas to finish this), try it !

Manhugs!

To get this quest you hail same NPC for tipt trial
RE: LOC
# Jan 19 2006 at 11:23 AM Rating: Decent
This post was useless as it offered no name for the NPC to hail or where the NPC was located, or what the name of the trial was.

It's about as effective as saying it is GoD content.

okay, got a question

I need to go here for the third piece of staff for my enchanter epic 1.5. Can I just go in and start killing nameds until my 3rd piece of staff drops or do I need to get flagged for this zone?

You do not need to get flagged. Just kill named. We killed Ubiki twice while we were doing the mission and the 3rd piece of staff dropped both times on him. None of us were flagged at the time, we just had a chanter at that stage of the quest with us.

Vxed is an outdoor zone, SoE, and Harmony of Nature are castable here. Supprised nobody else noticed that.

My guild did a Vxed run last night, and set up a CoTH to get several member flagged. When it came to be my turn, when I hailed Stonespiritist Ekikoa, i got this text:

"I'm afraid that I have already aided as many as I can, I do not have the strength t assist you further"

Any ides as to why this hppened? I was in the expedition, although I wasn't a member of the group. I did hail the guy and say "tend" to him, that is when he replyed with the above message.

Has a nerf came through from Sony that only so many flags will be issued? I don't know if anymore guild members recieved flags after me, exp leader kicked me from the expidition, and I logged.

Yes he can. If you got in and snare pull then zone and come back take more you pulled but be careful as other post's say it's very dangerous if you get hit odds are you will die. Most times a hit will stun you and the next thing you are loading. If you get luck you can get a few kills before the stonemites spawn at first step but sometimes they are there from start. They can be harmonied for pulling with a 66 druid so you know. I would find a druid have him come along and have some fun. AA exp is great good luck

I've soloed the zone-in mobs -- druid root/rot. Stay away from the summoning mobs. Stonemites summon, hynids and pookas don't. I'm not sure about others. There is no room for error. If the mobs hit you, you are likely going down. If your snare is resisted, zone and try again. If your snare holds, but you aggro a second mob, zone out and in -- the snared mob will stop while the other mob will return to its spawn point. 10 mobs get me one AA.

Wizzy, Cleric, Pally, Necro, Ranger, Chanter ...

Charm kite is nessisary to get this done in a short amount of time. They respawn real fast and you have to kill 100 mobs before the flag mob will spawn. He is in NE part of zone. We killed 80 mobs then started fighting our way 2 him.

The flag mob is called Stonespiritist Ekikoa ...

If one person is flagged already and you don't want to clear the area around where the named and the flagging mob is then you can have one person try to train everything back to zone in ... or as far as he can get .. to clear the area out for the people who don't have their flags yet.

You have to hail him while not invisi and say "tend" to him. Then click on the stone to port out.

That should get you your flag !

You have to hail him uninvisi to get the flag . I thought that you had to do some dialogue but since then I have done it a couple times to try it out. Hailing works great =)

A couple ways you can get to mob to hail it. Do as I said above have people run in click off invisi and hail mob .. but this is dangerous.

We figured out that if you clear the right hand side of the room (as you are facing flag mob) that you can get within hail range and stay out of aggro range . On the right hand side you only have 2 kill 3 mobs to get in position ..

Method #2 is to go in invisi and stand at back wall to the left of the stone out so you are looking at the way you came in.. Click off invisi and hail the mob ...

You should get white text ... here might be some yellow at the bottom ... I forget . eh

Egadz, 65 Bard, joined up with a number of nice people from Grey Hawk on Karana and I must say it was interesting, and I thank them all for their paitent while I asked the GoD noobie questions; "Alt + Z to get the Expedition window?"

As a Bard, I am normally expected to do the pulling. This was fine in LDoN, when the mobs normally were under level 62. In GoD, with a group of 65+ levels, even the blue cons tend to be above 62. The only recourse to the fact that the "target is unaffected" by your Pacification is that the mobs are fairly well spaced out.

Cleric, Shaman, 2 Rangers, Warrior, Bard camped right at the entrance. The first two pulls had doubles, which the Rangers parked with a root. Once these spawn spots are broken, as said above, they respawn quick, but you can have your warrior pull from then on out. I was relieved of pull duty after An Ukun Deathfang refused to run the long distance of half the Western trence back with me. It snared me on the pull, put Chaos Claws on me and slapped me twice.

After 50 kills, we got the yellow-zone-wide-message that Stonespiritist Ekikoa had spawned to cater to our hails. We invised up, me using my Travelers Selo (run, invis, see invis, levitation) for the radius it affords the group. The Ranger was actually able to land some Harmony spell on the mobs which we had to stop for, and these mobs would be the ones that saw through our invisibilty as we were trying to sneak all the way up to Ekikoa's chambers:
An Ukun Deathfang and A Hynid Ravager.

As LLBBL posted, we were going to let the warrior train the room out. He did so, but when he passed back through the radius of my Traver's Selo, the two Ukuns ate me alive. Everyone else managed to get into the room and get their "temporary flag" from Ekikoa. Don't forget to use the stone behind her to exit, which I am told, make the temporary flag real.

Was nerfed in the last patch. You only need to kill 50 to spawn the NPC so it takes much less time to complete than before. Also, there seems to have been some AI tweaking to the mobs in various GoD encounters that make the warriors use of defensive a bit of a gamble. This was mentioned without detail in the patch, but it seems (from my exp) that you tend to loose agro when you go defensive now. Will make things a little more interesting for sure on named. 8)

I did this last night and we did not kill no where near 100 mobs. I figured we killed around 50 mobs tops until the npc spawned.

I just hailed her and got flag, did not need to say anything.
