Confirmed 7/30/20 on Mangler TLP that you can zone into Riwwi at 50. I could not zone into Qinimi at level 46, so could not attempt to zone into Riwwi.

Ok, I have to admit, I've not ever been to Riwwi till now, and I've been playing this game for a quite a while.

I ran my 69 Enchanter over via Barindu to check it out. Barindu has this stream you're likely to cross and it's a bit of a bear to get out of if you just drop in and swim like I did. If you have real problems, go south to the end and climb up on the rocks there.

I just pulled entrance mobs to see how bad I could expect things to get and they were green and light blue.

Pretty easy to charm but they are resistant and can use a little tash'ing. I did run across a mob or 2 that summons but it was not a problem.

The zone in is safe, but I did use it to escape a few trains I brought on myself and I did get trained by someone in the zone, so beware. It's a nice emergency exit so don't be surprised by an unannounced train.

The first wide area you come to with two pools of water just has one static mob and he's not very close and he's easy to see and pull so no problems. The biggest problem is a fair number of mobs wander into your area from the back where you're going next. It's not impossible to get one or two adds while you're fighting the static mob there. Best to pull him away towards the front.

the next part of the zone T's and you can go left or right, you will end up in a big open area either way. Both sides of the T have a pair of mobs guarding the rooms just before you get to the open area. I pulled fom here and it was as far as I got.

I managed to get intricate defiant leather and the hot zone augment.

Real common drops were:
stonedust particles
Reyna's Blood earring
muaramite etched scales

Despite the lowly mobs, the AAxp was not terribly bad.

I took a pair of clerics here, a 53 gimp-ish alt, and an 80 with TSS/Demi gear. I grouped them, equiped a good DPS hammer on the 80 and buffed her with Vow of Victory and Ward of Requital. I would then pull 5 or 6 mobs with the 80, and dps with the hammer and VoV proc, let them beat themselves down with the Ward, and the 53 does get XP in the same group. I was getting 3% a kill without lesson, and they were pretty easy kills. If VoV doesn't proc for you, just HoT yourself or at worst, bring some heal potions.

I was getting about 1-1.5 levels per lesson burn, slowed a bit around 56-57 but was still really good.

Trash mobs hit max 380ish. Most mobs seem to have about 15k hp so they go down quick. You might get into trouble if you grab multiples but most zone lines are close.

fellow bards! so you find yourself at level 65 and up, and the old hobgoblin stomping grounds prove to be too slow of an xp camp, and you're wondering where to go ? look to Riwwi. our lvl 64 song Call of the Banshee charms every mob in a normal kite. all mobs assist and it is very easy to build up a swarm of 20+ mobs. each mob gives about 1blue AA at 70, however when each mob dies every 20 seconds... that's fast exp. bring along a clicky invis, such as the tiny cloak, or perhaps mosquito boots. also, don't bother chant kiting the mob down at 10%, just charm a new pet and sic him on the old one, they hit so fast that the old pet dies in one round typically.
good luck!

Yes, just have a druid port you to Barindu and you will zone in right at the entrance to Riwwi.

You can also buy the barindu stone in the guild hall for about 160pp and port that way.

This place has bad exp above 66 imo, but it's easy.

Pair up with a 64+ Shammy as an Sk/War/Pally with about 8k hps // 1700 + Buffed up.

You can practically solo the nameds once they are slowed and just use HoT Potions.

Pretty easy, if you're in trouble FD, but wait for the nameds to start whacking the slaves, then snare, slow, kill.

I came here again at 70 with a 65 Shammy it was easy, we started to pull 2-3 at once when we got a Ranger and Chanter (complete overkill from there on, both friends who came laterwere under 67).

Nameds seem to hit me for about 900 tops, at one point Sham slow pulled and got killed, I had to use HoT pots and I still managed to beat her (one of the snake ladies) with 0% mana and 67% hps left (was only half mana when fight started).

Always wait for Pets to despawn, summon you're own pet if you're an Sk (at 68 the pet is really worth it).

went here tonight
# Sep 26 2005 at 7:12 PM Rating: Decent
Came here tonight with a group of lvl 65-68 people looking for someone different than WoS/BoT etc. I think we were a bit too powerful for the zone. Xp was pretty poor, got about half an AA in 2 hours. Mobs were pathetic, tank rarely dropped under 90% health. Was able to handle 3 mobs in camp at once with no chanter. However, there are TONS of mobs packed together all social. Only one of us had been there before and never went beyond the entrance so we didn't really know where to hunt. Saw some named but weren't able to clear to them before repops happened.

There were so many mobs it was ridiculous. I'm trying to make groups to try out GoD zones because I'm rather disappointed that I've never hunted in any of them before (this was my first time hunting in any GoD zone). Anyone have any suggestions for a more difficult zone with more/easier to get to named? I'm not looking for Time+ 1100 hitter content, we are mostly bazaar geared here.

Does anyone know if an event screws up named mobs spawn cycle in Riwwi?

Last night a group of use were hunting named mobs and the Night Watchman spawned pretty regularly.

Another guild entered the zone and completed an event. After the event, no named mobs spawned for the next three hours - we then logged so don't know when the next named started a respawn.

In that amount of time we would usually would see two to four Watchmen and Blindeye at least once or twice.

Thanks for any info.

No. I did this event a month or so ago, and we had a random named mob roam into the colliseum while we were in the middle of a wave. So, this event does not interfere whatsoever with the spawning of named mobs.

do you have to be flagged to get to this zone ?
RE: help
# Jul 09 2004 at 10:33 AM Rating: Decent

No flag needed. Run to Qinimi from Natimbi. Invis up and run to far left wall. Follow river on left but stay on right side of river. Take either of the last two entryways. Take them to zl.

Good luck

the piece that drops that looks like an earring is part of the communications/progression quest. The dust that drops is part of a quest that gets you the stone of entry. That stone is for a ring event started from in qinimi.

I've fought here for some time but only at zone in and nothing special dropped for me. The mobs hit about 400-500 and proc some dd/dot. Pretty easy to overcome the dot.

Most of the mobs don't see invis. The archers typically do and some of the dogs. But you can usually invis up and move through without gaining agro. I use this as a pass through zone when going to barindu.

The zone is pretty much a waste in my opinion as hardly anyone goes there. I've been there for hours on end only to see players passing through. Anyone interested in GoDs isn't going to spend their time here...at least as of today's date. Maybe something in the future will be uncovered about this zone but so far it is pretty wasteful of computing power.

Some of the warfiends are highly resistant to h2h. I haven't tried anything else as most of my weapons are 2hb or h2h making the mitigation a pain and really a bad design choice and a reprehensible design implementation.

I haven't tried to explore much but i have sat in there with my 65 ranger tracking for named, etc. Nothing came up that was of any note. Hope others are having better luck here.
drops
# Feb 16 2004 at 1:32 PM Rating: Default
gotten 4 loots so far.
1 was Animal Trainer something.
dropped a int caster neck 3 times
like 15ac 55hp/mana 3 or 6 to buncha stats
other was Chef kvef or something dropped boots 2 times int caster 50hp/70mana plus decent stats.
Also got a 60hp/mana preist cloak off officiator.

Only impressive thing was arms off a wandering named, they where bl/mnk/dru had no wis but 70hp/50mana/50endurance and had aura of courage, low weight, much better then ornate, not as much hp as crafted or from ldon hard, but awesome effect.

I was with a group tonight that cleared to one of the named mobs in the coliseum. I forget the mob's name that we got to. He's level 65 and is watching the fights in the coliseum and occasionally makes comments.

In any event, we could target him, but couldn't attack him or hit him with any spells. We were tired and didn't try anything else, but apparently those mobs are part of some event.
RE: Coliseum nameds

We too, cleared to these 2 named spectators (same model as the Officiator PHer in the top center). Conned white to me at 65
No response to hails, spells/nukes/hits would not land, yet he "scowled" at us (obviously kos).
Would appear something needs to be triggered.

Went here last night. I am 58 ranger, had 65 warrior, 65 chanter, 59 druid, 64 cleric and 60 shaman. It was a great zone for exp, gained an aa in about 2 hours. We just kind of crawled through the zone till we got into the coliseum. After we arrived we camped on one of the lower passage ways coming out of the coliseum. There is one on each side. From this position we could see Two named level 65 mobs on the ledge overlooking the coliseum. We were not sure if we could take these so did not try, but we were here long enough to know that about every 20 mins or so a random spawn apears in one of the side chambers then walks into the coliseum to fight the slaves that are there. If you camp where we were you can intercept them. These range from just upper level mobs to named officiators and gladiators.
RE: Coliseum
# May 04 2004 at 6:46 PM Rating: Decent
concerning the roamer mobs that spawn every 20 minutes to enter the coliseum. How often do the named mobs spawn and do they drop any gear?
RE: Coliseum
# Jun 15 2004 at 3:57 AM Rating: Decent
The named mobs appear to be random spawns form eiter side, I assume that the lesser mobs that come in are placeholders for the named, kill the lessor mobs every 20 min for a chance for a named to spawn. The named are pretty easy they come in kill a few of the slave's and walk out unless engaged. I was able to solo them for the most part with my 65 Necromancer. Decemt drops on them might want to bring your twinks with you. hope that helps.
