| In the mists of the darker portions of the astral lurks the Plane of Nightmares, home to the horrors that crouch in the subconscious of all creatures' minds. A dense forest dominates much of the plane, pockmarked by many small clearings. The trees are gnarled, their bark twisted into patterns that resemble horrific faces.
These sentient creatures are powerful and malevolent, springing to life when any mortal being enters the realm. A river bisects the forest, eventually pouring into a great, murky lake. In the caverns beneath the earth live still more nightmares. All indigenous creatures of the Plane of Nightmares serve the Dream Scorcher, Terris-Thule. The demi-goddess daughter of Cazic-Thule, she is the master of the subconscious who terrorizes those drawn into her realm as they slumber. Level 46 is required to enter the zone without a key on the live servers. |

I was just had a level 48 character in there yesterday. What are all these posts about level limits to go to planes of nightmare.
Is PoN an indoor or an outdoor zone?
outdoor zone. bards, wizards, and druids kite here often and end up training grave yard once they get adds and either die or zone out. Don't hang around the graveyard, best to be a bit north or south of it along the west wall.

Ok I'm new to pop, just got it this week end. I'm trying to find out how to get in to the first tier planes. I know POD and PON are tow of them, but I cant seem to find out how to get in to them. Any help????

You enter the Plane of Disease through the open sewer pipe north of the port-in in the Plane of Tranquility.
You enter the Plane of Nightmares through the clover-shaped thing in the center of the cluser of buldings south of the port-in.
You enter the Plane of Innovation by clicking on the unmoving cog in the windmill farther south of the port-in.
You enter the Plane of Justice by going up on the mountain where the waterfal of light is, and clicking on the scales (kind of SW?).

As a newly dinged 54 shaman, I could get in no problem. It must be around 52 or 53 because a friend of mine was also able to get in. Mobs hit hard but their MR is fairly low so they are easily slowed. Love this zone, xp is great for me.

I got a flag last nite, by completing the dialogue with the woman in the sick room. You need to have a flag to lead a group on some of the mini raid events.
Example, there is a triggered mission you can do with 3 groups in PoN, with Thelin Poxbourne. Each group leader and the raid leader need to be flagged to take their group into Thelin's nightmare. YOu then wander around with him in a closed hedgemaze, killing different waves of mobs. Most were blue to me at 61. The mobs are Rapture only, so take 2 or 3 encs, and a shammy to slow.

I have a level 51 monk and got into PoN the other day with no problems. Very cool looking zone.

I believe the flag you received is for the Plane of Disease. When talking to the gal in the room with the sick people she asks you for help in retrieving a few items to make some sort of healing elixir (if i remember correctly) in the Plane of Disease.
I don't believe it would be a Disease character flag.. ..I've traveled into Disease already without ever having gone into Nightmare first. No flag required.

The Character flag I recieved was for talking to the one asking for aid in freeing her friends shade from PoN. I did not recieve a flag for talking to the one asking for rat bile in PoD.

I'm 51 but it says i can not enter. Don't believe this is a level restricted plane other than 46+. Do I need a flag of some sort to enter this?

I got into PoN by clicking on this clover shaped wooden thing that looked like vat for squashing grapes. As far as level cap, im 57 Pally and didnt have a problem but have heard of others not being able to get into some of the planes. O BTW, the clover thing is between some buildings in PoT near beach.
The portal to Nightmare is at (-200, -1250) in Tranquility, in between the cluster of buildings to the south.

As a level 50 I cannot enter.. Tells me I do not have the will to.

I'm a level 51 pally and I got in. Thought the minimum requirement was just level 51.
I'm a lvl 48 Chanty and I grouped at the PON last night with no probelms. I may be partial to my class but you might want to have a chanty with you in PON the adds are rediculous
I took my level 46 bard to PoN and leveled him prety fast their... not saying my 65 Druid has anything to do with the SPEED of him leveling pr any thing but as far as entering 46 worked for me just fine. this was like a few weeks ago too... hes 55 now and in BoT with me hehe. cant wait for 58. then just make him sing mana Song and Resist song for my grouop while hes is ungrouped. after all what else are bards good for? hehe

Recieved a character flag for completing dialogue with a female NPC in the "sick room" on Plane of Tranquility. The texts seem to mean Plane of Nightmares but this is not a zone that requires a flag I'm told. Anyone have any insight into the meaning of this flag?

The flag allows you to start the "Hedge Quest" to assist Thelin Poxbourne. If you succeed in killing the mini-boss in the Hedge (the Construct of Nightmares) you can get flagged to enter the second part of the Plane of Nightmare.
