My characters use regular invisibility, as that is all they can get.

Really? I figured it's intentional. They blow hot and cold on looking favorably on kiting. But I shall do so! As it is the zone is eminently suited for quadding and quinting. The animals don't aggro on a druid, not even the wolves, and they don't assist other animal types. So I've been able to rot at full speed right thru other animals. It's only the wyverns and a couple of other oddball types that aggro. It's a fun zone if you like WHITE as the primary color!

Ridiculous. First four mob types I test, all animals, and they're all immune to all forms of snare. The original Western Wastes was a nice open outdoor zone for druids and wizards to practice quadding and root-rotting. This higher level zone won't offer that kind of hunting. Making mobs immune to snare/root is a lazy artificial device by programmers. Heck, give them high resists, let them dispell debuffs on themselves maybe. But give us a shot at them!

Point it out in the official eq bug forums. They were behind on finishing things in this expansion so I bet snaring flags haven't been set yet on npc's.

What? An EQ developer releases a lazy artificial fix to a "problem" they didn't see early on and now they punish the players for finding a way to play they don't approve of?
