This is an open zone to anyone Level 60+. For actual access, you must have completed the Tipt group expedition. For an overview of the Gates of Discord expansion as a whole, click here.

Kod'Taz is a large area (probably be the largest reaching in all of Taelosia) made up of multiple temples that were once used for worship by Trusik natives. Many of these temples have been destroyed or made into strongholds for the Muramite army, and you will find that you're generally most unwelcome in these parts, save for a few scouts in the area who will put you to work.

Level 60 is required to enter the zone.

How to get in the zone
# Dec 15 2013 at 12:48 AM Rating: Decent
To get into this zone now all you have to do is go to Natimbi, the Broken Shores and in the North West corner there is a stone with an NPC named Madronna standing next to it. simply click the stone to enter.

I brought my 71 cleric here to check it out. The mobs have a ton of HP, they hit like a truck, and give horrible experience. For the experience you get they take too long to kill. When I was in a raid guild we used to come here to farm AA. After seeing the horrible experience, I have no idea why.

I came here at 68 and there are a lot of dark blue, white, and some yellow mobs (although I haven't explored to deep yet.) The monsters are large, cool looking, and not a ton of hp. I've really enjoyed fighting here so far.

The bad part about this zone though is there are a lot of mobs close together.
Getting to Kod'Taz
# Dec 14 2010 at 7:55 PM Rating: Decent
Found this on the Brell Serilis rants forum, reposted in part and linked: How to get to Kod'Taz

Getting there
Either port to Natimbi or use the Magus at any adventure camp to get to Nedaria's Landing and then use that Magus to get to Natimbi. Follow the wall north to Qinimi. In Qinimi, follow the right wall to the first corridor, follow that to Barundi. Head straight through those corridors until they open to a large clearing. Directly in front of you will be a large pyramid. On the west side of the pyramid there is an opening, go in. Inside the pyramid there is a room to the back-right (SE corner), this a safe place to be uninvised. Up the stairs is the entrance to all 4 sewer trials.

On the SE corner OUTSIDE the pryamid is an NPC named Gamesh, talk to him to get an expedition for xp or farming, completion of a trial given by Gamesh will NOT flag you. To get to Tipt or Vxed, instead of going to the pyramid in Barundi, follow the right wall untill you come to a canyon on your right. Follow the canyon to the very back, the entrance to both Tipt and Vxed is a crack in the rocks in the very back.

Anyone else think the first quest from the hot zone guy in POK for this zone is a little over kill. The Pixtt Priest Summoner's are part of a RAID encounter and you want me to kill 5. With my monk, shammy box and 2 mercs. YEAH RIGHT!!! Thanks sony, way to show some love. I guess I didnt need that elaborate combatant/casters shoulders, belt, back after all.

Funny ddorry saying that considering it is her last post. Guess she went back to wow. That was a bs hot zone task. Now the current bs hot zone task at least as of my posting date is the lvl 65 one in Ersylai, the Kingdom of Wind. You need to get past the zone in mobs. Of course they see through invis and once you kill one it could spawn as many as 4 adds. So most people just say to hell with the lvl 65 hot zone tasks.

I got the same crazy task and deleted it. Waited a few days and now it is telling me to kill 5 broken trialmasters.

Anyone have any notable mentions here on a 70 wiz with 480AA with a healer merc solo'ing here? People have said this is a bit of an odd duck zone and people are skipping it as a hotzone?

I registered just to ask this.

Update on the zone
# Sep 18 2008 at 7:40 AM Rating: Default
This is an update for all those that need it.
1. The drops in this zone are as follows (don't quote me on this please):
Taelosian Mountain Wheat, Taelosian Mountain Tea Leaves, and a few other
vendor fodders.
2. No you can't forage Taelosian Mountain Wheat. I have a lvl 80 ranger fully
maxxed forage and bounty of the harvest aas and the Foraging Machette.
3. The forageable items (that i keep) are :
Taelosian Tea Leaves, mint and ginseng which are all part of a great recipe
called Green Mountain Ginseng tea.
4. The named mobs cannot be snared and the pets of them are immune to changes
in their run speed too.
5. There is now an easy way in. As with the other zones they are now level
required this one is lvl 60+ and you go to Natimbi by Madronna there's a
stone with runic markings on it. Don't hail her just click on the stone.
BTW the zone out stone is right behind you.
And last a bit of advice to the other soloing rangers out there. This zone is great to solo kite in. Use your Drifting Haze rk II spell on the masters of the pets and you can single pull with your entrap aa. kite them all the way to the zone line and back. Dot them up and just bow them down. Be careful of the mob that runs down the steps ever so often he usually is a KYV and they see invis. The nameds spawn on the left side of the steps outside the first house you see. I have gotten over 10 aa there just having fun slowly soloing. Also the ukons there are still fast even when snared or entrapped :) Good Luck with this new info and please don't steal all my mobs >.< lol. The named mobs drop augs. the ones i got so far are +20 ac aug, +3 mana regen and +45 endurance :)

Qvic is too much and Tipt/ Vxed is no zone thru
# Sep 12 2008 at 4:07 AM Rating: Default
Here's my question do I really have to go through all that to get to KT? I'm a level 80 ranger and Taelosian Mountain Wheat is the last component I need to get to baking my Bristlebane's Challenge. Is there no insta-poof into the zone? I've seen some post that Moutain Wheat is forageable if this is so that would not be a problem with my foraging skill sitting at 252 (that's the +10% from the Foraging Machette..nifty little thing to have btw). Can anyone tell me how to get through to KT without going through all the trials and tribulations. Madronna (the npc at the runic stone) only ports me to Qvic and as i said that is entirely too much for me atm. Any ideas? I've tried to train the zone and got caught up in an ugly death by the bow weilding demon mobs in Qvic (lol no, I was not one of them) the Kyv's....please help this Mountain Wheat is illusive to me.

# May 01 2007 at 10:03 AM Rating: Decent
Hail the NPC outside of the Tipt instance entrance which is the dead end with the golem that is non-aggro. The basic idea of the Tipt mission is that you need a puller or you NEED CC. You will want a slower either way.

If you look up Tipt here in Alla's, they will tell you everything you need to know.

Flagging
# Jun 14 2004 at 10:04 PM Rating: Excellent
Each individual person needs to be flagged in order to zone in. Here is a good link on how to progress in GoD...

http://home.cwru.edu/~srp5/Gate_Tiers.htm

It's a long read but very informative and so far it's been right on the money up to Kod'Taz (haven't been farther than that yet).

anyone know how to get to this zone?

You have to be flagged for it. You can get flagged by doing all they sewer trials and the Vexd/Tipt ones. Or you can skip the sewer trials by doing the Rondo Smith quest which requires a raid.

The zone in is a stone with runic markings on it in the NW corner of Natimbi. Is like the zone ins for the PoP planes that still require flags (like Sol Ro Tower), if you are not flagged for it it will not allow you to pass through.
RE: Where is it?
# Jun 09 2004 at 12:44 PM Rating: Decent
Does everyone in the group need to be fully flagged? Or just the person that clicks on the stone?

Everyone has to be flagged in the group for access.

BTW-the "85% rule" does not exist in GoD like it does in PoP. Everyone has to do the entire flagging process to advance.

The 85% rule has been enabled for KT and Ikkiniz, at least, after the last patch. We verified it for those 2 zones.
