"A devistating pooka" (yes, spelled incorrectly). Hits for over 300k and is clearly intended to not be spawned, but you can spawn a swarm of them if you hand Vaifan's Temporary Power Cell A to Rikabi the Riddler. Surprisingly, they can be kited and don't summon .. dropped standard stuff you'd expect from a pooka:

Mountain Pooka Meat
Chunk of Taelosian Rock
Platinum Gem Dusted Rune

Group: WAR,MNK,MNK,BRD,SHM,DRU. All were 75, and Anguish+ cept the bard alt :)

Selo's + Overhaste all the way, expedited the ghosts + crag babies by warrior mass pulling all, and riposte disc'ing :)

Complete time (from start): 19min,53sec
Fastest win time I have ever seen! :D

yeah this is odd, I'm having this exact problem right now...I'm at the 2 houses where all the ghosts are supposed to trigger, but they aren't spawning. Trying to cover all the ground to make sure I'm not missing it, but so far no such luck. I even got the emote "shivers run up and down your spine, something is not quite right here, the area feels quite chill and desolate" but still nothing.

I had the same problem

Turns out the undead won't spawn until you have the "weight" of 3 full players (mercs don't count) in the area. Then they bumrush you.

Did it with a group of 5 75+, two of which were MMM level raid geared. Was a breeze... though couldn't get past the gate keeper until we figured out the problem with the undead. Was frustrating.

Hope this helps.

This is retarded. I can box this whole thing with just a cleric and wizard but can't get the undead to spawn. Since they changed it to only 2 players to get the task, they should change the spawn for the weight of 2 players. =/

just done 3 trails, well tryed to, soloing it with a 75sk 17.2khp 3475ac (unbuffed) had no problems soloing it but on all 3 trails every one was bugged, after killing cragbeast trap cleared up to undead beludu spawn trap, nothing =/ on all 3 nothing spawned ffs

well... some guy invited me to a tipt group... I only went through with it because i need it for laters raids.. He was farming some berzker epic stuff.. my pally is 14.1khp/2.2kac fully buffed.. i tanked stuff easily there, but the cleric was boxing a enchanter.. so when we got two.. we all died.. but i zoned out when we first got two.. so we had a zerker/ranger/warrior/pally/cleric/and enchanter.. with around a 15k ( or more ) warrior tanking.. teh cleric ran LoM around 2-3 mobs.. so .. at the mob where we have to kill 5 of the buggers..and make the named spawn..after him..we took a afk b/c was teh only one we were getting until we were done.. I went afk..came back..and something poped.. i soloed it down to 80%,used LoH..couldnt get a heal off b/c i was getting stunned so much.. so i watched everyone die .. and i disbanded after that.. so,about a 1-2 hours waiste right there..hehe.. =/..so just dont go AFK for a long period of tiem while theres repops behind you =-)and no healer at desk lmao..
# Feb 21 2007 at 8:48 PM Rating: Decent
repop in tipt is extremely fast 14m30secs
there are a few rooms it is safe to afk they are as follows

first one is cragbeast room after you have killed her -- no repops here
second one is ghost room after you have cleared them
third is the key room
and final safe spot is riddler room

dont ever try to afk on any of the ramps
Anguish grp
# Nov 18 2006 at 12:56 AM Rating: Decent
Just did it tonight with an anguish geared group and it would have taken us about an hour on the first run slaughtering with a few afks. Fire answer seemed bugged and we got caught afk at the riddler but all in all was quite easy. Stormed back in invis past what we could and finnished real fast, 30 mins or so? Pally, Shammy, Chanty, Cleric, Druid, and a Zerker
how long?

Is there a list of riddle answers for the end of Tipt? I'd hate to make it to the end and lose because we answer the riddle wrong ....

You can charm some of them - you just have to keep trying different ones.

# Mar 23 2005 at 6:04 PM Rating: Decent
I heard after a recent patch you only need Tipt to get KT Flagged, is this true? I got 1 toon who is ikkinz flagged, and am wondering if i need to redo all 4 sewers, vxed, and tipt with my new toon?
Progression Change
# May 23 2005 at 9:46 AM Rating: Decent
This is true. I've pushed several guild members through Tipt only to get the flag. I also asked a GM in chat if this was a bug since I had been told it was and he assured me it wasn't a bug. So get thru Tipt and you are KT flagged, just remember to hail the Ghost NPC after you kill Jhiru and click the stone to log out (you will get a message to hail the high priest in barindu... you can skip that. Port into Natimbi and then run to the KT stone and zone in).

I believe you also have to be lvl 69 to get KT flagged the short way, or at least to get teh quest without having the previous flags
RE: Progression Change
# Sep 20 2005 at 1:53 AM Rating: Decent
You can get flagged at any level... my necro got it at 63.

But if you are not 65+ it you click the rock to get to KT it will say something about not worthy or whatever... but when I dinged 65 with the necro I clicked into KT just fine.

best way
# Sep 07 2004 at 5:59 PM Rating: Default
Best way to do this trial is to get a high end enchanter to charm a crag, or hryid that cons DB...That pet will then tank the hole trial, All you need is a ranger to keep the mobs , and pet snared .. if u dont ..it will be a disaster. Then when u get to the named, u pacify the mob infront of the named and have ranger use his weapon shield disc and shoot bow at it... then when mob comes and hammers on him, while WS is protecting him, send charmed pet and have the warrior tount off the ranger, war dies, pet owns, rez the dead and lewt! =)

A ranger using WS does work good, but instead of pulling with a bow, pull with dispell. The boss' friends will have him hasted, sow'd, and other buffs and dispell will remove them and make this fight a lot easier.

Ummm, charming a DB? You mean aqua right? There aren't any low enough to Dire Charm.

RE: best way
# Jul 22 2005 at 8:21 AM Rating: Decent
No he means charm, not DC.

This is where the fun begins. If you are really brave, haste the pet and give it some pet toys too. You must stay away from the pet though. When charm breaks its dangerous.

However, you have never seen anything as remarkable as a 1200 hitting, 600 + 140 + 140 procing pet tear through a mob. It is jaw dropping to see them go from 100% to 75, 50 20, dead in 4 rounds.

Although pets can tank through this that takes a proactive group. The best bet is to tank it with a war + cleric + shaman + DPS and have a ranger and chanter work the pet with snare and charm for DPS.

Crags, hynids and pooka make the best pets. Others are resistant and/or summon.

Have fun. If you really want to know how good you and your xp group are this is a test for you. Survive Tipt and you can do anything.

The Nameless.

If the person holding the key to the gate has to bail, you can get another by killing Garjah Zotaki (sp). This will respawn the mobs who drop the key before the gate. He's not too horrible, but does have a bit more hp then usual for most GoD mobs.
access ?
# Jul 12 2004 at 9:09 AM Rating: Decent
Do you need the first 4 trials or Smith Rondo in order to do the Tipt/Vxed trials? I can never find anything that says clearly whether you can or cannot. Thanks :)

You can do Vxed or Tipt by requesting them from Apprentice Udranda.

You can do the sewers by requesting them from the Priest (he will give you the lowest your group leader has not done. i.e. group leader has done 1 and 3, group leader will be given 2.

Rondo is a raid event which can be done in lieu of the sewer trials. Have to farm parts in Ferubi to spawn the event.

You can do any of these in any order, save for the explanation of the sewer trials.

To get KT access you must complete Vxed, Tipt and either all four sewer trials Or the Rondo raid event.

No you do not need to need Sewers or Rondo to do Vxed/Tipt. Vxed happened to be my first GoD flag =)

# Aug 22 2004 at 6:05 PM Rating: Decent
Yes but are you the one that got the vexd expedition? You can only go as high as the highest person in you group, so you whole group has none you have to start at sewer 1 irrc. Any way it is not that hard to get someone to take you along.
so is it nerfed or what?

So what is the affect of the mysterious nerf of the final KYV named guy? We have speculated on his new behavior when faced with "a strong defense" but not tried it yet.. Anyone know?

Single group only zone. One of two post Sewers/Smith Rondo trials needed to move on to Kod Taz and beyond.
There are the usual several mob types in there, all with the same or similar resists and abilities as they have in other zones (Ferubi for example).
Ukun - Big MR, nasty proc, some are snareable here though.. the blue ones I think. Many are not. All run waay to fast. Run 3 speed for certain, I believe faster. Mostly Slowable
Noc's - HUGE MR. Only mob to resist mez in here on a semi-regular basis. Annoying and frequent proc, and that rampage IS REAL. Partially slowable.
Ra 'Tuk - Low MR, Low HPs, uncharmable, FLURRIES. Mostly Slowable
Granite Worker - Moderate MR, Uncharmable, Partially slowable. Has lots of HPs
Cragbeast - Low MR, Moderate HPs, proc stuns for 0.5secs. Partially slowable.
Pooka - Low MR. The generic mob. looks like a Mephit. Mostly slowable
Hynid - Low MR, Low HPs, Procs. Runs at run 1 or 2 speed. High attack so hits more often. Mostly slowable
Stonemite - Moderate MR, procs a 12minute disease dot. Mostly slowable
Mastruq - Moderate MR, Procs, Mostly slowable. Over half are casters and Summon Ukun pet that dissapears on Death. Gates.
Ikaav Snakelady - Caster, higher MR, summons an Ukun pet that is mezzable and dissapears on her death. Spells vary. Stunnable and Gates
Nihil ghost - Mostly slowable, Moderate MR, uncharmable, Split into a blue mob on death. Necessary to kill these to get to the Key area.
Crag Beast momma - Slightly slowable, swings near 2k in triples. Moderate MR, Blue at 65 and i think may be stunnable because of it, stun proc for 0.5 secs and is a named. Uncharmable (that would be evil heh) Drops an Aug.
The Kyv named at the end is only slightly slowable, is yellow at 65, throws triple 2100's and I believe has a debuff proc. he's got near to 40khps or so. Might be a touch more. Summons and has an AoE rampage I believe. Drops some choice goodies.
All blues unless otherwise stated are both charmable and stunable. Most all save a few Ukun will take snare/darkness as well. Many of these don't see through invis. I wasn't pulling so don't know which ones do and don't. Some of these summon also.
Not that hard save half the mobs are yellow at 65, all Noc's are trouble. Remember that. Great AA Xp, nice drops, and a fun challenge. Pack a lunch for your first few trips till you can get a key. have fun!
