I suspect the reason you couldn't go on is because the person that created the expedition failed to hail the high priest and the scribe. I'll bet they went to gamesh.

In one of the other expeditions there's a guy that you encounter half way though and you hail him and say something (I believe), that triggers the end encounter for that expedition.

Just be sure you go to the HP instead of gamesh if you intend to do these.

Most of the lurkers (slime), the cubes, and the ghosts see invis. You can typically IVU past the ghosts. Undead and living are intersperced amongst one another and some of the undead can't be pacified.

The agro radius is low on most of these and there are tons of roamers.

As in most of the expeditions the golems can't be slowed but I would suggest dispelling them. They hit pretty hard and fast so you'll want to fast heal.
High Priest for Trials

There are two ways to get to these instanced dungeons (trials one through four, five-six are in a different area). If you just want to go in and fool around you can hail an npc starting with "G" (dont recall name) thats at the south east corner outside of the Barindu pyramid. If you want to attempt them for success in the trial (and you might as well) you have first to hail the scribe and then the high priest in the large bldg a bit NE of the pyramid. The scribe is a preflag if you will for the priest.

On hailing the high priest your group leader will be given the expdition they're "ready" for. When I did this the first time I was given the first sewer, then later the crematory all without asking for any specific trial. If at some point you win a trial you were not 'ready' for you can get the backflag settled by asking the high priest "what issues". In a couple of the trials its a good idea to have one person only loot the collect xxx items, and have or make that person be the expedition leader as you reach where those items are used.

At that point you can enter the trial. For trials one through four the entry is inside the pyramid up the stairs and click on the hole. That room is a 'safe room' and should never be trained. It is also where your corpses will be sent after you all exit the expidition (ALT Z) should you wipe. In all of these four trials there is semi quick respawn and many things (elves, sludges, possibly more) will see invis.

How hard things hit varies by trial and location inside the dungeon, ranging from a low of about 500 to a high of about 1200 for junk mobs. EQ Toolbox now does have maps for trials one through six. There have been many drops, most from random mobs rather than nameds, generally 1-2 items per trial (2-6 hours to do them). Loot is as good on the whole as tier 3 pop nameds or better. Spell drops so far have been uncertain, and are not triggered by class (as in we've had to let things rot, they're all nodrop).

In this dungeon mobs really dont hit that hard. You want to work all the way down to the end, kill the named cube, and watch piecies of him scatter in all directions. Kill and loot all six pieces from where they ran to and return the four drops to the fellow at the front.

Went there last night, fought our way in. Tried to talk to the indiff npc, he wouldn't say much at all. Just the same thing over and over with no keywords. Went on deeper and killed mobs but even at the very end we saw nothing out of the ordinary. Any ideas as to why the indiff npc won't talk to us? You have to get the quest from someone in some other zone or something?

Things range from 63 - 65 that i saw, there are undead, and living mobs, some close to eachother.

This is an instanced dungeon, but things DO respawn.

Max hits range from 800 to 1300, Everything that i saw was pacifiable and mezzable, several of the undead were unstunnable, but mezzable. There are the "an abandoned workers" who cannot be slowed, but can be mezzed and all that jazz.

Half way down, theres a lady who is named, starts with an "A", forget the full name. Anyhow, group leader talks to her, and you get the fill in on your expidition.

I went here tonight and here is some info on what to expect. I went to the purifying plant which is accessed by hailed the high priest Diru Riwirn who is in a building in the NE part of barindu. The entrance is on the first floor of the temple there in the SE corner.
Once inside be ready for some HARD mobs. You can expect trash mobs to hit around 1200 and there is one type, an abandonded worker, who hits at 1284 and is unslowable. We didn't have a chanter so I have no mez info. Most of the mobs don't see invis and since you don't have to kill them can be skipped if you want.
We made it to an npc who told us that to clear out the infestation we had to kill a named mob that would spawn by killing stagmite elders deeper in. About 2/3rds of the way to them our shaman had to go so I don't know anything about the named.

This is the wrong info for this trial. Your talking about trial 1 with the stonemites.
