This zone is the revamped version that was released on July 10, 2003 during Legacy of Ykesha.
| The Temple of Droga is found in the northwest corner of the Frontier Mountains. It is home to a large and diverse tribe of goblins, the Cleaving Tooth Clan. To hunt in this dungeon you must drop off a ledge, and commit to a rather long trek to get back out. |

Hmm.. i have been in droga for several days now. and what i have noticed is that every "special mob" in here drops 2 items and a common of an opal...(ex the goblin Fanatic- Book of rings, Tome of eternal and opal) Same with the Named soothsayer and regular soothsayer... But what im wondering about is that the warder only drops a shroud of nature and a common opal... Does anyone know if there is a second rare loot to the warder or is it just coincidence?

yes it does drop here we got one of these last night and a spiked goblin ring i think it was called.... they are rare of random mobs throughout the duengon.

Anyone recently found a copper key anywhere in here?

Thanks to the Jan 9 patch the Iksar Shackle of Steel quest now works. The copper key is dropped by the Gobiln Interrogater that spawns in the cell with the broken down door.

The Idol of the Thorned is still dropping. Got one last night while waiting for a bodyguard to spawn. The idol is Chief Rokgus RARE drop. He also drops the Essence of Dol as well the locket of escape, but the Idol is the rare one.

On the map in the area #6 there is a temple building. There are 8 mobs outside and 4 mobs inside the building. Any of the mobs outside can spawn as either a Fanatic or a Soothsayer. The Back left mob inside is a Named Soothsayer or his PH. This is a VERY difficult area in the dungeon because most of the mobs are either Clerics (Minimun GH and it seemed like SH sometimes as well ugh!!) or Shadow Knights (Friggan HT for like 400 dmg everytime!!)
Named Soothsayer drops: mantle of mirth 4ac +2 int/wis - Common
Earring of Essence +30hps +10 magic res - Rare
Goblin Soothsayer drops: Necklace 4ac +5 int effect: see invis - Uncommon
Stone +5 wis 25 charges of Identify (offhand only) - Uncommon
Opal - Common
Fanatic drops: Book +10 int -10 poi/dis res IKS NEK only - Rare
Fire Opal - Common

Also, mobs around soot drop the mantle as a rare drop,got 1 off of a whipcracker,fanatic drops the Book of rings as rare,stone of morin-->common

Hmm, wondering if this is still dropping. Seems they have been moving items to different places. Wondering if this is one of those items that was dropping when Kunark first came out, and was taken out or moved. If anyone can confirm it still dropping here, please do.

I spent 7+ hours camping the soothsayer area and killed over 20 soothsayers no Idol

I believe the idol drops off of the Chief, so it probalby would be a long camp if you were trying to get it off of soothsayers hehe. But, I have heard confirmation that it does still drop as of today (10/13/00), but it is VERY rare. Hope it helps

The Idol of the Thorned is dropped by Chief Rokgus. I spent about 7 hours in his room with my 3-person group. We got 2 idols along and each of us came out of there with an essence of dol, circlet of shadows, whip of strangulation, rokgus sticker and we even looted one Gaunlets of Potence. Lotta nice drops for one room.

The Shroud of Nature drops from the Goblin Warder. He seems to be something of a rare spawn in the dining halls. Killed him a few times. Loot seems to be either an Opal or the Shroud. Out of five kills, I have found one Shroud.

What level is this guy? Can a small group of lvl 30s take him?

A small group of lvl 30's can probably not get this guy. There are several problems, one is that all the goblins in the area are place holders. There is not just "a warder" that spawns, there can be several in the room at once, as it is simply a goblin "class" in Droga. So in order to get one to spawn you have to clear the whole dining area, which is somewhat difficult for a low 30's group given the number of mobs in the area. If you want to attempt this have your group park in the tunnel between the dining area and the safe room and commence killing everything in the dining area, eventually a warder or two are bound to spawn. Have a druid handy to _ensnare_ them though, because a runner in this dungeon will get you dead. This strategy was developed by the Mighty Madank, so all props go to him for figuring out how to farm Shrouds! ~Tinuviel Elvenstar, Tribunal

its off a goblin called the Warden or something close to that. He spawns in room number five if you look at the map from eqatlas.

Goblin Stitcher - Some note, looks like quest item.
Maddened Burynai's - Nothing dropped, they are Paladin's.
Depredator - I got a Goblin Forged Mask AC8 HP10 Mask from I *think* it was a Depredator, but only one Mask all night, and killed heaps of Gobs.
The Chief hits for 89 max from what I saw, which isnt too harsh considering the Gobs just inside FM zone hit for 67. Other thing to note, lots of the Gobs have harm touch around the Chief area.

im lvl 44 and I decided to try to get a circlet, BAD MOVE, this place is packed with goblins from every square inch as soon as you zone in, the chiefs room has about 5 goblins in a 2 foot radius and then about 8 more scattered around the ledge, after i saw this i was like '***** this' and gated.

I had never been here before so i was poking around using sneak/hide, and I fell into the jail pit ick - thought i was in trouble - good thing i had my lockpicks handy. Amazingly enough, that skill helped, and I picked to lock to get out of the jail ... its good to be a rogue...

there's a pitfall that lands you into a jail cell which has a single secret wall you can walk through, which in turn leads to a second jail cell with the front door busted down. there is no way to escape from this area, and none of the goblins we killed in the entire time we were there yielded a key...petitioning just got us a "you're sol" response. bring a group gater, or get ready to bent over and slowly starve to death in this nonsensical area of Droga. on the up side, the second jail cell seems to be safe if you sit on the back wall.
aside from that bleh experience, droga is a great place for mid to upper 30s, i'm there right now with a 37 warrior, 37 monk, 36 cleric, and 35 enchanter, and we're eating through the place and getting over a bubble of exp each an hour. root runners, beware of shamans that sow, and realize that the majority of this temple is filled with shadowknights and various caster types.
Also...nothing we've run into yet has seen invis, as we've had to do several nasty corpse recoveries due to a lack of group gaters in our party.
Hmm..one final thing: some areas have very very bad pathing and there are many wandering goblins; keep that in mind when you're attempting a risky pull.

The goblin penmaster which spawns in front of the jail (around the fire there) and who has a placeholder which is one of two spiders (neither dropped anything that I recall, other than spider silk) drops two items that unlock the outer and inner door to the jail. These items do not look like keys, and it took us quite awhile to figure out what they were for.
The penmaster spawn is targetable from inside the jail, although he can only be pulled with a spell (arrows have a tough time getting through the grating.) So falling in without a key isn't necessarily a have-to-gate-or-pick-lock situation.

You need to kill the goblin Penmaster, and you need a bone key to open the inner door and a bone neclace to open the outer door. So you need to kill him atleast twice. He is a random spawn outside the jail so you need to shoot and kill everything outside.

Have you noticed that the info that lacks here, on many zones, are exactly the mobs with better stuff? Yes, they are rarer but they become known due the good stuff they drop.

We hunted here for three hours and only got two decent items (and a black pearl). We were close to the fanatic and the named NPC but we had a bad pull and had to evac. The exp is pretty nice, but there are goblins EVERYWHERE.

Was here for a while one day we went in rather deep not all the way in i heard some rare guy spawns here for a quest in firiona. While i was there we got a sk only dagger 7 dam 27dly, a totem with 3 wis 3 str that went into range slot, and a necro book iksar only with like 10 int it was very nice item, and a ring that was like 2 ac 3 str dex and some 2 agility i dunno exact stats i just remember them dropping. I would like to see more posts see what other peeps have found and stuff
