Anyone know what a named iksar named Veltar is for in DL? He is a red con to a lvl 50...sits on top of a building off the back side of KC.

Hi Veltar is a lvl 60 Mob that is used in the Monk epic for the Whistling Fists.

anyone ever get a vial of drachnid poison or blood,to that extent,lore no drop,off one of the spiders as this loot is not shown on the spiders loot table.

It has been my observation that to make good xp here you need to have a shaman/enchanter to slow the mobs. As a 45 shaman our heals suck at this level, u can save much more than 270 damage by slowing a mob by ~58% or so at this level. And also my best XP has been in a small party of just 2 or 3 and my pet. A few days ago i paired up with a 50 monk who had decent gear ( read : regen and haste items ). With alacrity on pet and monk and chlorplast on as well i rarely had to heal the monk ( and never the pet as its not going to out-aggro a 50 monk EVER ). We were both in a hell level but made 1 yellow in a little over an hour. BTW there is really no advantage over fighting the tougher mobs like ravishing drolvargs as the xp isnt that much better but you WILL have to cast 2-4 greater heals if u are just in a 2 man teams. I prefer the spiders ( dont bother dispelling the DS--it takes atleast 2 casts of cancel magic and the DS is very weak anyway) and cockatrices for fast xp--and
pulling to the FM tunnel is a uncrowded place and has the safety of a zone exit close by. Happy hunting. PS--be careful as i believe the dread widow can spawn very close by--i have fought one and it wasnt much fun--atleast we didnt have cr's to do afterwards.

He doubled me for over 200 a few times, so i stopped and thought about it a few seconds. Then i decided to GET THE HELL OUT OF THERE!!!!!!!! I can't find this badass on the bestiary. Can i get some info plz?

From what I understand he is a lvl 57 mob for a monk shackle quest. dont know much else.

who the heck is this char? came out of nowhere and destroy'd group. for some reason did not get this cleric, probably faction? or most likely luck / gate?

I logged on last night and popped up at the NW. I was just in time to see Veltar finish off someone and then he turned to me. I went down in a hurry with punches of 207. Not a way to log into a zone. If you see this guy run if you can.

Actually, my prior post was partly incorrect. He's level 61, not 63.
It's also surmised that him dropping the bracer is mistake, and it was corrected in the recent emergency patch. It's the reward for a shackle quest, not supposed to be a drop.

Ran across these guys: Cultist Zreklar Xazok (Nec)Cultist Xekkliz Krazok (SK), and Cultist Verooxa Xazok (Nec) in one of the piramids close to where Baldric is spawned. Based on there outfits I made the above class assumptions. I think they are right around lvl 50 and conned indifferent to me. No reply on hails.

Aye, saw the same on way to SF with guild grp. . . so we decided to take um out. Conned blue and KOS to all, lvl 51 was lowest in grp i believe. Well, long story short, these 3 Cultists are undercons, ended up wiping out the 7 of us in about 5 mins. And check this out, 51 wizzy, 52 wizzy, 57 ranger, 52 cleric, 52 pally, 51 druid, and 53 warrior. I'm in the planning stages of raiding these guys. I cant' believe it's gonna take at least 2 grps for 3 mobs :( Oh well. . . .

Ok, i was at the ruins with the new skeletons, well it was the first time ive seen them, the first time i saw veltar, i just clicked on him, and did not con him, but when there were tons of mobs i started running to the zone, then i here footsteps behind me, i look back and there he is chasing me, i conned him, he was red to me and scowled at me ready to attack,(had sow)so i just about made it to KC zone and there was a war rager, which stunned me,then veltar caught up and killed me, kicked me for 113, punched me for 203
you have been slain by veltar, i also only had 2 bubs of health left, so i had no chance of survivol. He is pretty fast to, but can be out ran by sow, just a note if you ever see him again RUN !

We did have around 10 people, 15 at most cauz some people came to watch/help.

Actually he's correct. I saw him on track and went to investigate. He cons yellow to a level 60. He has about 32k hp, and a nice regen rate. Hits from 150 to 200. With about 18 from my guild he died. Dropped the monk bracer that was mentioned above.
Oh, and he's a monk.
*edit* Faction hits were Caballis and something else... if you're an Iksar, I'd say don't touch.

I also seen this new MOB on the building but didnt dare to get close enough to arrgo him.

Was there today and some named red con mob was up. Later found out he was lvl 60+ named Valdic or sumthing like that. He was a iskar monk that hung around the ruins in the field stirght out from the middle ruins. Thought he was part of a Gm event but usually thoose mobs shout and scream across thw whole zone but this dude drew no attention. Ran faster then sow hit in 100's and low 200's. Wondering if he was new mob or was actullay a Gm event. Anyone else see him?

I was wandering with ITU on, cause some skellies spawn in the combine outpost...and a MoB named Baldric Slezaf attacked me...I never saw him/it. After a lovely hit of 165 my ITU dropped and a Wraithbone champion joined in...So in instinctively started casting FD...regained concentration after 3 hits of 90+ and they left me alone. I layed "dead" for a few minutes, then hopped up and hauled *** to the wizzy spires in time to make the luclin port. Never saw Baldric Slezaf, never conned him; my log is the only evidence that I engaged in battle with him

He's a quest NPC for the Bard epic. He hangs out in one of the pyramids usually. Cons red and scowling to a 48 iksar monk. Looks like a crack head running back and forth with bard speed in front of his little throne or whatever. =)

I fought him for a brief period. He was at the Pyramid SW of the plaguebone thieves. I never saw him, but didn't look for him too long after I con'd him. He was RTM at 45. I ran off (had SoE), and wasn't chased???

Last night 04/02/02 i was patrolling the area near the old combine outpost in DL, i believe i have found something of a new NPC there, it was an even con at level 55, and it engaged me instantly. It was a human model clad in chain armor, upon the 1st hit landed on me it rooted me. Not even Divine Aura could save me from the extremely for 165 a hit hitting mob. Unfortunatly i was way to surprised from encountering such a thing that i did not take a good peek at it's name, but i warn ya, be carefull on the east wall near the largest pyramid of the old combine outpost in the lost valley.

Last night in DL I looted a no drop "drachnid blood" off a spider. I have never seen it drop until last night. Does anyone know what this is for?

Druid can solo here at lvl 35, definately at 36, just snare, root, and DoT. I've been doing it for many levels now.

There's something called "A Storm" in this zone,invis and seems to be a caster.Did anyone kill it before?Wondering if it drops anything.

I think it has something to do with Luclin because it appeared around the same time as Al'Akabar (the GM event). All it does, apparently is debuff you and put on a nice light show through the zone.
I am not KOS to it and from what I remember, it doesn't fight back when attacked. People were attacking it after the GM event (fools) but the hp bar didn't move at all.

I tryed using my tolen armor and it was too slow and I HAD TO ZONE. Does anyone know where a lvl 50 ranger should fight and if so should I group or solo?

At level 50, you would probably want to go to Karnors. If you can't get a group there you could solo outside in DL. I don't know how but my friend who plays a 49 ranger does it.
