The Estate of Unrest: Infamous in its earlier days for its massive trains, the Unrest manor is occupied by a clan of tormented souls, rumored to be the victims of a murderous rampage by the crazed dwarf, Garanel Rucksif, whose ghost resides deep in the estate's basement.

Then be in a group. Its always good, i found a group of 2 lvl 22 pallys, a 21 druid, and a 19 ranger(im a 16 ranger) and got sweet exp. I grouped with a human once, they pulled a large train, the when they couldn't find their blind way out they died. Good place to lvl

Actually, Unrest is sincerly a very good place to lvl. With a good knowledge of the area (mobs and pathing) and of his skills of course, a cleric can easily solo there without ANY difficulty. I spent a few lvls there during my boyhood.
The best way to avoid train actually is to stay inside and med invis or even to hunt on the left side or back side of the zone. Front part is really dangerous. most people dont know how to pull and make nasty trains as a result. dont be afraid to go there if you know perfectly your character. believe me, clerics are kings there.

LOIO is the best for what? Idiot teeny boppers who like to spam the airwaves? Or maybe it is the best for suicidal tanks with the mind and strategy of a retarded 10th grader? Wait, I know, its for the monk tanks that assures their casters if things get too hot, he can protect them by feigning death. (Yes this was actually said by one of the many idiots that habit that zone.) Give me a break..I'd rather spend an eternity in any other zone to get one level than 5 minutes in LOIO for 30..Put that in yer pipe.

If you are lvl 20, Lake of Ill Omen is where you want to be. That is, if you want to level. If you want gear, don't count on it at lvl 20.

You cannot sneak/hide as far as I know from the undead. But, test it on the first train you see. I'd recommend being close to the zone though! ;)

I was in lake of ill omen at level 20 and stayed til 23.. It wasn't very good loot, decent xp but not great considering all the stuff there, you would think it would be great xp...it just wasn't..I agree it would be nice for casters...but for wars....it wasn't the best zone...but i went to highkeep at level 23 and quickly gained 24 in GR...then i went into the Warrior Room....it was the best exp and loot i have had..in 3 hours i made 300pp+..it was nice...

Yeah there is a bad Ghoul up in there - I had just gotten my ghoulheart for ghoul bane and
he came after me - stunned me so bad I hardly got
off a swing and people where helping me - he
was a bad SOB - someone rezed me and he killed
me again just like that - finally someone dragged
my body out and rezed me. Than within moments
Festering hag and Skel monk roll up on me. I
ran for zone which was not far - had to use lay
hands to survie. This place is very dangerous, but
I want to go back -especially now that I have

It looks like at least two people now know of this mob, yet I do not see the name or addition of a 45 level named ghoul in the above listed Bestiary.
I have recently began taking more and more screenshots than before due to lack of finesse and speed leveling is shifted into overdrive. Hence, no one is taking the time to assist our supreme library of information as before.

Just a note...please help yourselves by sharing the information you know.

See the mob up there? The abomination? lvl 0? Well, believe it or not, that's the mob you're talkin about. This is everything I heard about it: I hits like a lvl 45 (yea, about 100 each), it only spawns if you give a greater lightstone to it's "master" (although he doesn't do anytihng to control it), and I heard from someone who actually tried to fight it that it roots, fears, then when root breaks you're runnin around like a headless chicken, and as you're doin that, it starts wackin ya and nukes for a WHOLE LOT of dmg. Plz don't hold this against me, as I have never been to unrest, this is all that I heard from others. Thank you and hope this helps.

I agree with my fellow paladin, LOIO is a great place to lvl. I went form 18 to 30 in a little less than a month. One of the best zones that ive ever been to, i highly recommend it. Its also great exp soloing the skellies at lvl 27-32. I was out of hell in less than three hours thanks to them.

Unrest is a deathtrap without a good group. At level 20, you could do what everyone does and go to LOIO, or you could try Highkeep. I went from 19-33 in Highkeep in a little over a week.

More than 2 old world dragons? Well, there is Zordakalicus Ragefire, who is sometimes seen down in Naggy's lair, but he's a triggered spawn that is part of the cleric epic quest. That's the only other one I can think of.

# Oct 14 2001 at 12:05 AM Rating: Decent
During camp for a gnomish spelunker, i saw a stranger(other player) incoming and tried to a mystical portal, there is no answer from it, it was quite strange because i dont know who is a mystical portal. After i perish a gnomish spelunker, when i tried to drop some useless item ont ground, tranding dialog to "a mystical portal" is displayed. Finally, I realize that entier this chamber is "a mysitical portal". I tried to give some item to him, it cause "a mystical portal says 'I have no need for this item Ganweianie, you can have it back.' Funny! Con to him got red, indifferently. Is he a one of NPC common to other dungeon?

Hunting
# Sep 27 2001 at 7:06 PM Rating: Default
My lv 8 Necro Entered this kick *** place and left it on lv 20, My strategy was Get twinked first off, when i got here i was with all my lv 1-20 spells some scribed some in inventory, well anyway i just stayed near the zone in case of emergency, my tactic was get FM and FHP and summon my pet and give him a rusty two hander so he can hit for a max of 25, and i go get someone to HP buff my pet and wolf form me, after all thats over with i pull a death beetle with Clinging darkness, it runs up to me hits me for like 30 and my pet goes buckwild on em' as my pets fighting i constantly make sure he has enough hp left to tank fer a bit if he needs a heal ill heal him with mend bones or whateever, but whilst they are fighting i poison bolt, and desease cloud the beetle, then i fear it, as its running with my pet agroed im Ward undeadin it till i got20m sit down w/dark pact on me (trade 2 hp for 2 mana everytick and since im a ikky it doesnt really affect me too bad if im medding, then im medding for +2, +1 normally, +2 for dark pact, so thats 5 x 2 cuz im sitting, and i get 2 hp back per tick anyway) When fear goes away im at perty good mana and i re-fear it and lifetap untill im at 20 % and i repeat this process the entire time, whilst my DoT's are still on it and my pet is beating it up from behind, i get like 1 and a half gold bubs per beetle, so i fight those til 12 and i scribe new spells get new pet, and blah blah and i head out to the court yard and fight beetle, greater skels, SOME ghouls, tormented deads, untill 16 and i get new spells and stuff, then i get a group with 1 warrior and 1 cleric in the round room and we stay up all night (we are all lv 16 when we started and we ended up being lv 19 by the mornin') it was a blast, then i started soloing the RR for good exp and got 20 in no time =) then i started fighting in loio

Ok um, since at level 8 your pet hits for a max of 12 or so, hitting for 25 is impossible, regardless of weapon (though I've noticed weapon damage seems to limit the amount of damage your pet can do, not increase it). Oh, and Dark Pact is 3/2 not 2/2.

# Sep 15 2001 at 8:57 AM Rating: Default
Unrest is off dagnors cauldron, which is off butcherblock. It is a dungeon so you get an xp bonus, but strangely enough it does not count as an indoor area. My guild raided unrest about a week ago. The secret is WOLF FORM!. Any guilds wanting to do this need a druid with share wolf form. I dont care HOW high lvl and uber your guild is, getting agroed by 5 hags at once is STILL going to kill someone. The upper floor is fairly safe, but as you pass throug the illusion wall there is a trap... A room with a pool of blood in it. Walk straight through the blood, DO NOT go around the side. We did our unrest raid with about 12 people, and did it np. lvl ranges of members where from 20 to 50. A high level wizard is also ESSENTIAL HERE! The advantage of having wolf form is that You get to choose when to start attacking, instead of the mob agroing the first thing it sees. Advice for newbs hunting here... DON'T! Unrest has xp bonus but the lvl range of mobs and HUGE trains make it a much worse choice. Oasis, high pass hold, and lake of ill omen are all very acceptable choices. Unrest is like most of velious. A guild playground, but a ****** place to hunt...
