Access to this zone is granted after completing the fifth task in the Solteris arc, Confront Emperor Zaarisz. And in order to use the portals here you must complete the sixth task in the same arc: Where There's a Will.

To get this zone, take the following path: Katta Castrum > Zhisza, the Shissar Sanctuary (portal in the NW of Katta) > Silyssar, New Chelsith.

When in Zhisza, just walk north into the tunnel with a ton of bugs. There is a funny looking wall on your right at the end. Click it and it opens like a door where there are a few pillow pads, candles, and a door at the end. That door is the zone-line for Silyssar.

Silyssar was a destroyed habitat that the Combine had given up for lost. The Shissar managed to locate it and erect a new barrier, pumping out the saltwater and claiming the habitat as a hidden haven. Away from prying eyes, the Shissar were able to hone their technology and magic, achieving feats never thought imaginable. From their seat in Silyssar, the snake-men are poised to destroy the Combine Empire.

Silyssar represents the pinnacle of single-group content in The Buried Sea. There will be a static and instanced version of the zone, the latter of which will host five different missions. One or more of these missions will be required to access Solteris.

A shot from near zone in

Really is a gorgeous zone. For perspective the porter directly ahead is a bit taller than a human.

2k hitters

I got crazy and decided to go and 3 box here today. The stuff down below... still hits for 4.2k. But the stuff up on the pyramids (around the outside, at least) all hit for a max of 2k, give or take 100. I was able to tank them with little difficulty with a shammy healing as an AC-focused zerker. Wasn't very good xp, because I could only kill the mobs around the outside (inside required splitting or root, which I wasn't willing to risk). But don't be fooled by the mobs below the pyramids!
Revenant Ozrial

Silyssar seems virtually unexplored. I'm not even sure how many named exist in the zone, however the few items I have seen have been just under Anguish raid level gear - attainable with a single group.

I explored the zone on my Rogue and found a named up in the third temple. Revenant Ozrial spawns in the very SE corner room on the bottom floor of the third temple. He is red to a level 75 and has the undead Snake model. Hits for slightly more than the regular mobs in zone around 2K.

The room itself has 3 spawns and the named PH is just inside the door to the right. Just outside the room and out of sight of the door there is a small hall which is the perfect place to camp this spawn. There is one roaming Patroller that passes this point and two additional roamers that pass the intersection prior to this small hall.

Our group set up in the hall, killed the roamer then pulled the two back roamers. We then moved down the hall away from the room to give the puller some distance to pull. Once the three room spawns were down, we moved back and set up camp right outside the room - killing only the three room spawns and the roamer. The roamer seems to be on a 15 minute spawn timer and the room mobs are about 19 minutes.

Revenant Ozrial drops:

Common: Ozrial's Belt of Dark Power

Lucy is actually incorrect - Improved Block was upgraded to 3 since this was posted on lucy.

Improved Block III, Combat Effects: +10 Haste: +41% Damage Shield: +6

Rare: Ozrial's Holy Ring

The focus is a 15% mana preservation on detrimental spells to level 75. While the AC is lacking, all the other stats put this item on the Anguish level with a great mana pres focus to 75.

All in all, I wish more people would explore the zone so we can find out what other named inhabit the zone and what other treasures reside there.

Using your description as a guide and my rogue, I plotted the location for Revenant Ozrial:

Quote:
P 772.0000, 117.0000, 589.5000, 127, 64, 0, 2, Revenant_Ozrial
trash

I just got access to this zone, so of course the first thing I do is run in and see what the first trash mob hits like. It was a goo mob named a brackwater goo. I noticed that it ran really slow so I tried to kite it cuz it seems almost nothing in this expansion summons. It summons me a few times and then I die. Max hit: 4.3k. OUCH
