The Demi-Plane of Blood is an alternate reality, a sub-plane of existence mirroring Dreadspire Keep which sprang into being as Mayong Mistmoore attemped to become a deity. It is said that some beings are able to maintain a presence in both realms, and that the whispers and shadows of the Keep find their true form here. Here, you will find death-touching gargoyles, brutish orcs, ravenous bats, maggot-ridden undead, frothing werewolves, bloody vampires, poisonous drachnids, as well as the latest addition in to demi-godhood, Mayong Mistmoore.

For an outline of this raid expedition, a listing of events in the zone, and information about negating the AE effects upon initially zoning in, click here.

Level 70 is required to enter the zone without a key or flag on the live servers. The actual flag is attained by completing the Demi-Plane of Blood key quest.

Mob Order

What is the order of the named mobs in Demi. Ranging from the first named you kill as a raid force to Mayong?
RE: Mob Order
# Mar 21 2006 at 1:19 PM Rating: Decent
Tier 1
Zi-Thuuli of the Granite Claw
Wailing Sisters
Hatchet
Redfang

is what most do when starting, once all down you will put redfang behind Zi-Thuuli

Tier 2
Tris Wallow III
Devlin Rochester
Roley DeFarge
Preformer

again once more comfy you will see Devlin before Tris

Within one tier you can choose the order of raids, but it would be advisable to do Zu-Thuuli first in Tier 1 =)

Running a 3.6ghz computer with 1.5ghz of ram and a geforce 6800GT... my computer isnt no "fastest" or whatever computer.. and it can run all luclin models on raids and shadows and all that other good stuff at high detail..

Well, to be fair, you have to keep in mind that these are high-level raid zones. There can sometimes be as many as 50-70 people packed into one area, all fighting the same mob. Even the fastest computers would have some trouble running well with the Luclin models under those conditions. You're right, though, it would be better to have the new models for the beastiary screenshots.

not 100% sure to be honest. Gear such as ________, the masters mistress (1hs) ...Alia, Eyes of the Master, a cloak, a 1hb no recast Fiery Strike IV item, a breastplate etc, were linked to us from someone in Evolutia...i was told they beat him but nobody could confirm. I was under the impression Darkwind and Raging Fury were/are at the top of the progression list in DoD followed by Assent and Township Rebellion, but i could be wrong. I will get the stats to that gear when i can. The gear looked eh for Mayong but the weapons and shawl looked pretty crazy. I forgot the title of the 1hs, just remember it was ________, the Masters Mistres cuz i made a joke that Mayong is married to a sword >.>. Anyway, whoops ;P

A few days someone found a way to mine the in-game item database. This means that person can link every item in the game files, discovered or not. Check Lucy for a flood of high-end DoDH items that were undiscovered till that day and flooded Lucy in an instant :P

Uhm, are you sure of that ? Evolutia just lists Vishimtar as their last kill about 2 months ago and it's a long run from Vish to the end of Tier 2 of Demiplane :p

Afaik just seven guilds have entered Tier 2 of Demiplane atm (Dec 19th) and Evolutia wasn't one of them. I'm not even sure they entered Demiplane at all...
Assent, Darkwind, Raging Fury, Tide and Township Rebellion are in the lead with a few kills in Tier 2 atm; Cestus Dei and Triton have entered Tier 2, but I haven't heard anything about their status.

(my info may be wrong, feel free to comment)

One thing you might want to look at also is the constant AE in this zone. The top lvl may only be 75 but "Aura of Crimson Mist" hits you im sure you will be glade the top mob isnt lvl 90+

Like it has been stated many many times over what does it matter what level they are? level means nothing. They could have a level 1 immune to everything hit for 32k and more hp then u could do in a week.

With a 70% spell reflect, zone-wide AoE Death Touch, insta-cast-recasts-whenever-dispelled-5k-damage-shield, and regeneration that makes it look like he has a group of highly focused/AA'd Clerics chain Complete Healing him.

Oh, and don't forget the ability to summon Quarm/OOM-mobs as assists when he's under attack!

And, of course, having been on Rallos Zek the first time the Sleeper was ever taken down, I must add.. don't forget that, when you kill it, it could drop nothing. Absolutely nothing. Ziltch. Not a thing for your efforts and legions of corpses over the zone that will have the Clerics working overtime on Rez's with Necro's pumping their mana-gift spells into Clerics while Chanters are trying to keep everyone full of mana, watching this go on for hours, having people calculating their EXP loss from so many deaths, despite 96% rezzes. /bitter Lol.

If you don't know, Tserrina Syl'Tor is the boss of Temple of Frozen Shadows.

Also, Mayong Mistmoore has already appeared in the game as a level 53 character for a GM event I believe (either that or it is rumored that he is played by a GM). Check the mob graveyard for more info if you are interested in checking him out.

Yes, and he was a major storyline character for awhile. When he just up and disappeared, it put the vampires into an uproar, which is the source of the conflict between the vampires of the catacombs and those of the castle. Nobody has really found an explanation for his disappearance, but if he became the god of blood, it would make sense.
End Mob
# Nov 07 2005 at 11:28 PM Rating: Decent
Apparently, the endgame mob is Mayong Mistmoore...heres text from Ariahn Teller in DK (librarian)

Ariahn Teller smirks and pockets the square of cloth. <Name> , allow me to demonstrate what it means to rewrite history. No doubt, you've heard of the tale of Tserrina Syl`Tor? It's well known that she and Mayong Mistmoore had a falling out, but what was the real reason? Rumor has it that she created the first dracoliche and he [teared retribution] from the gods for involvement in the creation of the undead dragon. Perhaps Mayong considered making her his equal, but a [glimpse into the future] showed that she would grow powerful enough to turn on him. Or perhaps Mayong gifted Tserrina with immortality, but an unexpected side effect of udneath was that it [killed her ability to love] him in return, and all his attempts to rekindle her affections were naught...(continue but SS was cut off)

So maybe Mayong Mistmoore or a big skelly dragon as a guardian :D

The Master of the Demi Plane of Blood has not been discovered yet. But i belive his challenge level will be similiar to OMM.

# Aug 28 2006 at 11:06 PM Rating: Decent
it's not about the mob lvl it's what they cast and hit for ... most things in this zone hit like trucks even with my 2.5k ac... Besides you have to take into account that there is a Zone wide Debuff that you have to deal with ... untill you get all the blockers ... And on top of that you have to make it to the mob.. Sorry but anguish other than OOM is a push over for us now however we have yet to do a full clear of even teir one of this zone ..
RE: end zone
# Oct 18 2005 at 11:11 PM Rating: Good
The level of a mob alone does not tell the difficulty of its encounter. And not all of the mobs in this zone have been listed most likely. People are still learning how to do the encounters.
End zone, perhaps?

Its not really a new plane per se. Its an instance version of Dreadspire.
RE: End zone, perhaps?
# Oct 27 2005 at 11:53 AM Rating: Default
Well to begin with a plane is just another layer on the world... Also alot of planes that have yet to be added and i wish they would. Few would be plane of underfoot, plane of shadow (need to add zone in behind AHR in VT), plane of war (fix this zone and make it into something), etc.
RE: End zone, perhaps?
# Jan 16 2006 at 7:13 PM Rating: Default
Would really be nice if they were to add these. Not something I'd count on, however. Sony suddenly forgets how to do things (like type!) when it comes to editing code/zones/objects/etc already in the game.

this is kind of derailing to this thread, but these planes you guys are talking about i'm certain will be added at some point. In almost all of the old world expansions, they left an emmense ammount of room for adding in content. When they redid the hole and made it into a challenge (for the time period), they added in the guardian of the seal or whatever his name is, and gave themselves room to add in the plane of underfoot... even gave themselves a good storyline intro for it. In VT, they left themselves room to explain and expand on where the akheva came from (the plane of shadows)...

it's all about the future.. look at how long it took them to implement veksar! but they did it, and it's one of the more interesting mid-lvl zones in the game now (at least to me). They had lore and even a zone in spot for it for like 4 or more expansions before they implemented it. Anyways, i think they do fairly good about giving us a balance between new content and a storyline to keep those of us interested in lore around. It just takes them a while to figure out when they're gonna do it =P
