Tirranun's Delve (named for the ancient fire dragon, Tirranun, who resides in his own cordoned-off lair) is a stronghold for the Delve goblin clan. Not much is known about the inner workings of the complex, other than that the area is used as a base of operations in the Delve goblins' effort against Norrath's Keepers and the Dark Reign.

Several mobs still missing in this list. A Delve Champion, A Delve Shaman and also another named mob, Fire Goblin Strategist. He dropped the Blistering Cape for me, a shoulderpiece for War/SD/Pal/Brd I may go back tomorrow and then I will take some screens and submit the pics.
Goblin Teeth

Goblin teeth are dropped by Delve Cleric, Evoker, Sneak or Champion. Cleric can see thru invis! Random drop, maybe 1 in 3, sometimes every other.

Who drops these things. No reference to the drop in any of the mobs shown above. I would like to do this low level task. Any help is appreciated.
RE: Delvian Goblin Teeth
# May 11 2005 at 1:35 PM Rating: Decent
Any of the goblins can drop the teeth. I've done that task for two characters, and I think the overall drop rate for me was about two teeth in five goblins.

Looking at all the mobs listed in this zone, how do I tell which ones are the ones I need to kill for the Tier 1 Quest Progression. The task window tells me I need to loot 5 Delvian Goblin Teeth and that they are on "deadly lava goblins." So which of the goblins listed above do they mean? And where is the dragon's lair in this zone?

DoN vs. non uber
# Apr 16 2005 at 10:12 AM Rating: Excellent
I'm from a non uber guild, a *family* guild, and have been able to get along quite well in the DoN zones. I'm not sure how most family guilds rate this, but for us, this is the best expansion to come since we made a guild. We as a guild have done various things, from farming Luclin mobs when we can actually find them up, to OS, and HS keys, etc. We have toons in the guild that just stay in the bazaar selling/buying getting great gear, and have others joining forces to take out the smaller named mobs all over Norrath. Our guild is not EP geared, nor VT for that matter, although some of us Have loot from Velious, Luclin and POP zones, none of us are very far in any of the more uber progressions, from POP on...
DoN has many ways for us to improve ourselves however, as did trash and named mobs in OOW, GOD, Etc. For the most part, the HP difference is the only thing I have seen as a problem. My warrior isn't uber geared, and probably at level 67, has the AC/HP equivalent as a warrior in an uber guild at level 57. My skills however are maxed as they should be, and can take up to 400 to 600 quads without much of a problem. Other's in my guild are more suited to tank the harder hitter's, but I have handle'd up to damage dealer's hitting for 1k.
My point is, from a family guild atmosphere, these zones are great for grinding, the Merchants sell great upgrades That I will be buying when I am level 70, and the progression so far is very fun, instead of grewling. I love DoN Myself. I realise most that post in these forums have passed by us *family* guilds, and although I can see your points about gear vs. level of difficulty, I have to say that most of us family guilds have the best equipment that can by found and/or bought, farmed, etc. and are not as helpless as one may think.
I have been in chat channels for PoP progression requireing level 65+ for their raids... Unless I'm missing something, POP was done with all 65 and under before OOW come out. IT's possible for people to do things that don't have this gear (although gear greatly increases your chances). We have done named and Raid mobs in all the new zones before DoN was released, and will continue to do them in DoN's as well. The difference is we will have less people, worse gear, and have to use different strategies... but we will do it. It's when you have to have "X" amount of people where we have a hard time. If there is a mission or raid requiring 4 groups or more, we won't probably be doing that. If it just recommends that, we will be trying it, but with less.. Not that we think we can do it with less, but that we have to.

Here Here!
It's nice to see somebody standing up for us in the smaller family guilds... I just wish that SOE would realize that many of us players would love to do some of these progressions but simply don't have enough people to do the uber raids. It would be nice if we had a choice of doing these for experience and progression but without spawning the named mobs with the loot, so that we could go in with 2 groups and still feel like part of the game ;-)

Spider Queen Incubation Band, Lava Crystal Scepter, Band of Ashen Rain and most importantly the quest piece Glowing Stone Fragment for us.

The participants in the final fight of the "Calling Emoush" raid mission are
Emoush the Destroyer (blue to 70, casts Rumbling Stone) and the three Mystics Shiflor, Griknok and Braggle (all lvl 70)

Killing all these mobs causes negative faction hits with Minions of Tirranun and Tirranun.

Emoush
# Feb 25 2005 at 1:04 PM Rating: Default
Emoush or something of the like is an event which can take a max of 24. My fellow elitist guildies made short work of the event. 3 guards surround him, kill all 3 by tanking them individually, all must die very close to each other time frame wise, when the 3rd dies, you can engage Emoush. 5 Minutes is given, you will have to repeat the process if you cannot kill Emoush within 5 minutes. He gains strength (HP's and ATK) overtime. he also regens at a decent rate. Good Luck.

tradeskills

I myself like the expansion for tradeskill lev cap being raised. I to agree exp and drops not all that in this expansion but loot is plentiful. And to be able to raise tradeskills to 300 to make those very hard combines much easier for augs so on is plus for me.

This just goes to show you that your not smart a low level non uber charachter is not gonna even try something that hits for 400 rapidly that much and especially not for the crap loot that drops let alone whatever the "boss" mobs for this zone hit for/drop. If your tanking a mob that has more HP than luclin mobs and hits 3 to 4 times harder and drops crappier gear.... whats the point of being there and not luclin. Hence the "crap loot for the effort" line. So before you open up your mouth think about what you say intead of just throwing in your 2 cents (more like .5 cents). And btw its stepping stone 1 <e> 2 <p's> unless your guild is making tea.

actually you're proving yourself as an idiot, and so are the people who think this is the end game zone. The Nest is the lvl 70 zone. This stuff is mostly for Pre-elemental and lower guilds not Anguish guilds, stop whining because you didn't get a ton of new stuff that is useable by you like has been the case in the previous 3 expansions. Also most of the good stuff in this expansion isn't from drops it's either bought or crafted by players. It's nice to see an expansion that isn't out of reach of the majority of the player community.

Perhaps you go there because to get the good items in Luclin you have a timesink that takes months to flag a whole guild to get access to the good items. Where here all you need is to get the expansion and you can pretty much progress the guild as one.

How, exactly is he proving himself an idiot? His point is solid. These zones are dropping stuff on par with luclin drops, for 10x the effort. More importantly, if you can use the items that are dropping in these zones, you are going to have a serious challenge finding success in them. When mobs quad 5-600, you need to hve the gear to sustain you through such a wallop. A 10ac 40hp mask ain't gonna cover it. To call a guy an idiot for using basic logic and wisdom is a sign of ignorance. Good luck in this zone if this garbage is what you're after.

Both arguments are right the drops in the normal zones in DoN from named are not on par with the difficulty. The trash drops are good, but drops from named for the most part are not. But this expansion does certainly allow the majority of the folks (non-uber raiding guild types) to gear up via the missions/tasks. I think it was aimed at those folks and not the uber raiding guild types, and I'm happy to see that.

I think it is a great expansion, the guild hall, corpse summoning, bandolier are all great. The missions are fun and much more creative than the normal collect/slaughter ldon. Now some are just that collect/slaughter but if you want something different you can get it. The task/mission progression is also a nice long fun quest to do.

Actually I think they did a pretty good job of balancing both high-end and more casual player. There's great drops for Qvic+ players off the upper dragons, while there are good upgrades for players who have not advanced as far from the lower raids and from DoN progression. For that matter, DoN progression is great for everyone.

Well maybe before you guys rant about how bad the new loot is in the new expansion you should
#1 Explore the zonesa and such a little more
#2 Maybe Sony created this expansion, not as another area for uber characters and guilds stomp around in, but as a new area for the less powerful guilds and characters as a steeping stone up to the higher areas?
So before you rant, think of their reasons for a new expansion.

I was looking at the Guild progression chart by nineveh, http://www.lavanet.no/progress/index3.html and I notice the last progressional part is to kill Tirranun, so ignoring the post i put on the accursed nest, you think this is possibly the final zone in DoN?
Sigh

Im getting disenchanted with this expansion already, Haven't seen any decent loot at all. I dont play this game to stand around in the guild hot tub, I need gear. Pretty doesn't=good.
