Natimbi is the gateway to the temples of Taelosia. Morden Rasp and company landed here after sailing across the Abysmal Sea on the Queen of Thorns. To get here, speak with any Magus, port to Nedaria's Landing, and then to Natimbi.

Beware when the clock strikes midnight, the time when the Cragbeast Queen likes to come out and roam around.

Strange, I ported into Natimbi today with my 60 Druid. Upon zoning in, I am being attacked by a mob called "A hungry predator", conning dark blue @ 60. This mob doesn't show up in this zones mob list, nor does the mob show up as a regular mob in this zone.

Ran into this sucked myself. Conned white to 65 cleric. Ranger, myself ((68sk)) and cleric took it on... we couldn't damage it faster than it regened

So, the ranger decided to bust out Trueshot.. it regened more than 11% a round.

Has to be a quest mob or something.

Conned yellow at 65 so they must be 66. Not pacifyable. They hit upwards of 400+ and some run at sow speed.

They're part of a druid epic 1.5 event.

Kill 3 or 4 Reborn and a Ritual Conduit despawns and turns into a Noc Juggernaught, kill the rest of the Reborn and the Noc Juggernaught to get energized noc blood for druid epic 1.5, and an uncommon chance at a chest with some loot (the loot reported so far has been an attunable caster earring or attunable plate arms with 90-110 hp/mana)

Natimbi & GoD
# Jun 30 2004 at 9:11 AM Rating: Decent
99% of Natimbi and GoD is totally unsoloable for monks less than 55.

Even with my gear (see magelo) at level 56, I can barely solo turpetas and stonemites, burning both Innerflame and Thunderkick half the time, or one or the other the other half. Always using mend during the fight and usually ending up with roughly 30% health by the time they go down.

Very, very rough zone.

Natimbi seems very easy so far. Most of the mobs are green to light blue and a few of the mobs nearing the entrance to Qinimi started to con dark blue. I proceeded to DC a lblue pet (a hynid fleshripper) and it hits for a max of 175 dmg. This pet killed pretty much any mob in the zone on its own as long as I pulled with slow. If the pet got low on health I just chain runed myself while standing near the mob to take the hits. No problems killing anything except I didn't go near the red con Craigbeast Queen!

I hear there is a nice FT1 neck item that drops off common mobs. I have yet to see it after 2 hours of straight killing.

You are going to have to keep killing and hoping on the Talisman of the Spiritseeker (the FT1 neck). The wife and I have been coming here pretty readily for 4 levels and about 2 months. THe first or 2nd time we had the Shell Inlaid Collar drop (Aura of Health neck item) and then a few times later we got the Talisman (1 kill after turning in the stuff for her Strand of Sea Pearls LOL.).

There is no secret, just random luck. A few weeks later we had another Collar drop which was sold for 50k a few hours later.

Many think they have a better chance of getting one of the goodies off certain mobs. I can tell you this, ours have all come off base mobs. Nothing special. 2 Stonemites and a Reef Crusty. We havent seen anything drop in about a month now, short of those things we expect off the named mobs.

Moral of the story? Don't think 2 hours of straight killing is a lot when it comes to getting the good drops. Yes, they can drop off any mob but they ARE very rare drops.

I got really really lucky with this. I was just AA'XPin cause I couldn't get a grp and within 20 kills 1 dropped. An hour later I sold it for a good 70K =D

As i have been in Natimbi alot lately and coming back here to check info, i have notivced that the mob, A Starving Stonemite , is not listed as a Natimbi mob. I can tell you it is. I would gather that these mobs are a little lower level the the reguler shore stonemites as they con lighter to my 64 pally. The starving stonemite does use the stonemite acid special attack and appears no differant from the others except as noted.

Been hunting Natimbi quite a lot. I haven't seen a starving stonemite anywere, even constatly tracking. I have noticed that when a shore stonemite first aggros, the flavor text says something like A starving stonemite rushes at you. I'm still on the lookout, just in case.
RE: Another stonemite
# Jun 15 2004 at 11:05 PM Rating: Decent
Aye, I get the same message that it rushes towards me, I look everywhere and I dont see it, I even had a ranger in group and asked him to track it and says hes nearby, we went to the spot where hes at and ranger said it's gone. No one would have possibly killed it since we were the only ones in the zone.
agree, but..

While I agree this expansion is my least favorite, I think you could have at least given some reasons.

My main reason is they claim its a level 50+ expansion, yet anything past Natimbi is mainly aimed towards 65's with time gear. Not everybody has the time or devotion to do required 8 hour raids, and that should have been takin into consideration when this expansion was released.

There is also the fact that its difficult to get to most ofthe zones. I mean if you don't got a reliable invis and/or sow your risking alot just walking outside the camp in Natimbi. Not a very explorable expansion without a group of 65's.

Just my 2 cents.

Hello, I've been taking screenshots of rare mobs but I dont know how to paste them on this site. Example, in kurns tower I found a skeleton called crackling bones and no one has pasted a picture of him on it. I took a screenshot of him but I dont know how to paste it on this site. Anyone know how? It would be great to know. Thanks

Hi there, Lizardkingz. Very nice of you to want to help. This is how you do it (taken from everquest.allakhazam.com/FAQ.html):

Q: How do I submit information to the site, and do you have any submission preferences?

A: All new information and corrections can be e-mailed to allakhazam@allakhazam.com. It can often take a week or two before something gets posted, and priority goes to new information over corrections, so corrections can take even longer, but we will always make the correction eventually. To speed up the process and make it more likely your submission gets posted, please crop the item screenshots and convert them to either jpeg or gif format. Include as much information as you can about each item, including the zone it is found in, mob that drops it and level you need to be to get it. Zone and level information are especially important for an item to be properly searched in the database. My motis operandi when I get a huge mass of submissions is to basically skip past bitmaps, zip files and images that need further editing to get to those I can instantly see and put up, leaving the others for later when I get more time. I also use those that give the most information first, so if I get three submissions of an item the one that included the who and where drop information is the most likely to get used. For quests, I'm more likely to quickly post up a quest whose description is ready to post than one that's a long, unedited log file or one which needs significant editing. If you know the reward, please include a screenshot of it.

Thank you Alredhel for answering, unfortunately somone took my idea about taking a screenshot of crackling bones. I had invis vs undead and went close to it and had it neatly in the center and took a screenshot. The picture taken by this person is really bad and its not in the center and pretty dark. But at least somone finally took a picture of it and the undead tower gaurd. Thanks for the info.

Well, funny that you should mention that. I submitted a picture myself once of Jerg Oakenfist in Jaggedpine Forest (http://eqbeastiary.allakhazam.com/search.shtml?id=12254).

It was a bad pic, which I admitted in the post, and eventually dmperlman submitted a much better pic. Illia replaced mine with his (to my relief), so, I suggest you submit your picture anyway. Good luck.

There are SO many problems with these zones it is pathetic. Can you say "play test?" Sony sure can't.. they are so damn hot in the pants to get the damn expansion out that they must completely foregoe testing. Thanks again for more the same quality we all are used to. Balance my ***.

What problems? The zone is alot of fun, mobs offer fairly good exp and great loot, with relativly low risk. I have gained 2 lvls there, now i am half way to 58 and loving it. Instead of that mindless rant, why don't you clarify what problems you had?

I tried to pull a fierce cragwalker from across the river. I didn't even see the cast bar hit zero when my screen went red from being hit. Once, I rooted a hynid, cast my DoTs, backed to the edge of my casting range and cast root again. I never saw the message that root broke. Again, all I saw was the message that I was taking serious damage.

The Mobs here don't summon, but once in awhile, they will warp right on top of you.

This may be an actual ability...I've had something similar happen when trying to pull the rear Ice Giant in Everfrost, but that has actually caused targeting problems and waht not...in Natmbi ther will be no obstructions, nothing blocking the mob, just suddenly the mob will pop in front of me and swing. However, SoE is pretty good about giving every ability a text message so that kindof defeats my theroy.

A sentry shouts "You will not evade me, Brenyaa!"
YOU have been summoned!

Useless drops
# Mar 04 2004 at 12:30 PM Rating: Default
Whenever new content opens, I'm afraid to destroy or ignore loot items that I've never heard of.

I strongly suspect that the items I'm getting are largely useless junk. I want to destroy them all.

I just don't get this. Why bother to create trash items? I'd rather mobs drop nothing than garbage that leaves me with the haunting sensation that it may be useful for some quest someday.

I can verify they drop from ALL mobs there. I have looted 5 of em so far. 1 from a Fierce Cragwalker 2 from Hyenid Fleshrippers 1 from a normal cragbeast and one from a shore stonemite. They ARE rare drops from these however. I have farmed for 8 hours straight and never seen one. Next day I went back and got 2 to drop in 3 and a half hour camp. It's all luck of the drop. Rule of thumb to use.... If it moves... breathes... nukes... or hits.... kill it and it may drop for you

I have gotten the necklace from a regular turtle, a reef crusty, and a shore stonemite. So, any mob in the zone, outside named I'd say, has a chance to drop it.
RE: FT1 Necklace
# Feb 22 2004 at 3:34 PM Rating: Default
I got the FT1 necklace off a green, to my 65, reef crustacean on Saturday and the melee equivalent, shell inlaid necklace, today. These spawn in the water near the Wayfarer camp, and along as far as the bridges I think. They can be snared, pulled out of the water to avoid the fish and squid, then kited along the bank. Downside is they are a 20 minute spawn so some downtime maybe doing turtles and others.

I've heard that they drop off any mob but I got mine off the lobsters.

As mentioned below, the mobs here hit hard and fast - also many have procs. The named mobs are especially rough to tank, so I would suggest aggro kiting if you dont have a slower, are using a pet, or have a weak tank. All of these were done with a 63 necro using aggro kiting unless stated otherwise. Killing normal mobs of a given type seems to make the named mob of that type spawn.

Vimidon - Spawned underwater in between the restless souls and the adventure camp. PH is a reef crustacean. No resists, dropped easy\. He dropped a helm.

Fierce Cragwalker – This guy spawned several times next to the adventure camp. Just keep clearing the turtles there and he should spawn in a cycle or two. He’s a pretty common spawn. Once he is snared he's cake, but he did resist about 1/5 of my spells. I killed this guy and Vimidon at the same time at one point, and also killed him once without a pet (he resisted snare and ripped pet apart upon pulling). Dropped range item 4x – once for every time he was dropped. Had to give one away in ooc since they are lore.

Furious Cragwalker – I saw this guy spawn in between the restless souls camp and the tower across the river from the adventure camp. He’s a little harder than the Fierce Cragwalker. Did this guy with the help of my 63 cleric and a 59 druid with necro pet tanking. Probably could have solod him easily. He dropped a veil.

Swift Scavenger – Another fairly easy mob. I saw him wandering around the same area the Furious Cragwalker spawned. Nothing special, except he ran pretty fast. Dropped a mantle.

Tumia Lehio – This mob spawns in the restless souls camp. She is immune to changes in run speed so don’t bother with snare/root. She ripped my pet apart, so I basically ran around like a madman - trying to get out of her range so I could get a dot off before she caught up and pounded me. Strategy worked for the most part, and I was able to kill her without getting hit very often. Dropped a turban.

Kyv Heartpiercer – This mob spawned on a platform above a pool on the west(?) side of the zone. PH was a noc darklurch. It is probably the hardest named I’ve tried in Natimbi. Hit me for max of 452, shoots arrows (with effects I hear), has a 580dd proc (procs a lot), and runs at sow speed. He also resisted several spells. Fought him with a 59 druid, 63 necro, and 63 cleric. He dropped the necro’s pet in no time, then spent about 15 seconds ping ponging and beating us all senseless. Druid dropped about 3 seconds after necro went FD. I (I’m the cleric this time =) kept him stunned/rooted, necro snared and dotted. From there it was easy. I nuked him twice at 35% health and necro dots finished the job. Necro was almost oom and I was at 25m by the end of the fight. He dropped a chain bracer.
