Got released with Lost Dungeons of Norrath but moved to Gates of Discord on progression servers.

The Wayfarers are well-established here in Nedaria's Landing, providing a connection between the continents of Antonica and Taelosia. Their camps can be found along the shores and docks in the northwest.

The area is otherwise fairly quiet, save for the plentiful local wildlife (panthers, griffons, bears, anacondas, and wolves), which inhabit the largely undisturbed forest. Just be mindful while walking along the cliffside as it's a large drop to the ground below.

I just wanted to say something useless and fun about this zone.

If you are on a mount and in the west end of the river (west of the waterfall), the water is shallow enough for you to move around in it, but not deep enough to dispel your mount. When a mount is in shallow water, it gives it an insane boost of speed. You'll be moving like bard in no time!

Have fun.

Ok i understand that NL suposed to be nothign but a conection from Antonika to GoD, but still, they put a 20-30 level zone in between 30-45 zone (JP) and 40-50 (natimbi) zone.. no wonder so many zones stay empty - no one of appropriate level would go there (excpect using the Magus of course)

By the time you are of sufficient level to xp here, you will have been able to get an adventure stone and can therefore use the magus.

Targen Stonefall, yellow to 66

You say, 'Hail, Targen Stonefall'
Targen Stonefall says 'Hello there, Gamli. I hope you fare well in your travels. I've decided to settle in here, next to the warm fires of the smithy rather than visit the plane of discord again. It's nasty, but is certainly has some [interesting stones].'

You say, 'what interesting stones'
Targen Stonefall says 'Well, I've been hearing about stones that have inherent power, much like those that we've been calling augmentation stones. These are cruder and you'd have to talk to someone else about exactly how to work with those. I'm more of a geologist myself. I study the way earth and stone are formed. I think there's a lot we can learn about this place from the formation of the [native stones].'

You say, 'what native stones'
Targen Stonefall says 'Just about any of them, really. I've seen most of what can be found, but if you see anything interesting, please let me look at it. You never know what gems you might find! Best of luck to you, my friend.'
Great XP!

Hi all,

I am currently hunting there with my 23 Ranger and all I can say is WOW!

Hardly anyone there ....open area's and Mobs that are DB and White and Yellow are soloable.

heh...Im even learning to DOT and run while shooting my bow.
At my level for a DB I am getting 3 - 4% xp per kill.

Also the ldon camp is a nice little emergency escape route when I get agro from more than one Mob.
(Hint: make a macro that targets the Magus and says a port name. Works pretty well in a jam)
New Graphics Engine Zone
# Jun 25 2004 at 4:51 PM Rating: Decent
anyone know anything about this came out today in sony letter.

New Graphics Engine

You may have been noticing your EverQuest experience getting prettier than ever before. That's the new graphics engine, filling new and old parts of Norrath with brand-new graphic effects and character models. Plus, there's a brand-new new graphics engine zone to explore. Ah, but how do you find this zone, you ask? Talk to an NPC in Nedaria's Landing...

Kinda leary bout going to the forgoptten temple (by going to quest npc in caves & talking to her, then partner) some say it is an instanced zone, & beastiary says 60-75 lvl mobs all KOS, is it truly safe for me to zone into to explore?

The first set of Bear Caves is now empty. A new Quest mob is in there, Nideno Eliagy, giving you directions to talk to Eldros Danmor, who will give you entrance to the Forgotton Halls. Anyone know anything on this?

When the zone first opened, I went in and explored. I decided to head back for a second visit today and the tunnel sent me back to SFG. It must be a LDoN only zone now, since I don't have LDoN.

They changed how you zone in. The gem will indeed port you back to SFG now.

The new zone in point is in the Brell anchorite (basalisk) cave. Go into the Brell gnoll encampment. The zoneline is behind the waterfall.

Or take a magus from a wayfarer's camp.
Easy way to get here

Just go to south ro ldon camp and the magus will port you here.

My lvl 32 Druid has been hunting here lately. A dream zone for mid-level druids, I must say. The Panther lvls listed here is wrong. Some of the panthers are still yellow to my druid. This would make the upper level of the Panthers around lvl 34.
ZONE IN

After much frustration and petitions and gms not being able to help to no avail... I have found the zone in. Seems they changed the zone in point numerous times without any clue to where the zone in is.

If you are as frustrated as i was.. the zone in is NOW behind the Oracle Jaarl (the white gnolls) waterfall. Hope this helps those who wanted to visit here.

There are now quests available with new NPCs in the zone, First one i tried was from one of the named Iksar on the docks, He wants 4 cove frog eyes, he gives xp and about 7 pp for them, but they are rare i killed over 50 frogs for the 4/ The other quest is from the high elf woman at the camp itself she wants 3 grifawn beaks, but i havent found those yet.

I killed a few of the bears, and was expecting a faction message like in JP, but there was none.

Only loot I saw from bears was LQ,MQ,HQ bear skins. Picked up some griffon meat from the griffawns, and got a no drop frog eye from the frogs.

Very pretty zone.

Promising
# Nov 16 2003 at 12:47 AM Rating: Decent
Besides the fact that this zone is easily one of the most beautiful I've been in (Sanctus Seru is really the only one that compares visually IMHO), this zone is pretty empty and not good for hunting (mobs are easy but provide very little exp, as mentioned before). However, I believe this zone has a lot of potential. With a boost to the exp gained, the addition of a link the hinted-at new zone, and the completion of the LDoN camp there, it could become very popular and profitable to hunt in. Still, there is a certain charm about such a serene and peaceful zone, especially when it's completely empty, like when I visited it. :)

I found this zone to be great exp. for my BL between 28 - 35. Also as a BL you get NO adds unless you hunt wolves
Boring...

This zone is just eye candy at the moment. None of the quests have been added. You just run around and stare at trees, useless mobs, and some waterfalls. I spent an hour there last night on my SK. Nothing of importance. The Wayfarers just talk about building boats :P

Not boring for tradeskill folks. Lots of mobs similar to those found in jaggedpine but at lower levels = great place to farm for tradeskill items.

Specifically, I spent an hour or so in an area with mostly pathers and griffawns. I walked away with nearly a stack of griffon meat (250 baking supply) and 5-10 each of Low, Med and High Quality cat pelts (tailoring quivers and to make padding for smithing)

I explored this zone a bit as a lvl 35 mage... The basilisks were dubious to me, everything else I saw (griffons, panthers and bears) was KoS. Out of those, they conned about half green, 25% light blue and 25% blue, so I figured I'd get a feel for the mobs here by killing a few blues... summoned a pet and killed four dark blues (three panthers and a bear)... were very easy kills, but the EXP... I got a *COMBINED* 1.5 blue notches for the 4 kills. Not 1.5 blue bubbles, 1.5 blue NOTCHES. I didn't know that happened at such a (relatively) low level when killing dark blues, even low dark blues. So it's at least safe to say this zone doesn't have a big EXP bonus. =p

Only other remark is that I was finding it difficult finding a safe place to med. Seemed to be many mobs everywhere, even pathed along the zone walls.

caught a thunder salmon on the river bank near the waterfall closest to the shore just now.

mostly just fresh fish, scales, tatterd sandals, and rusty daggers...was using catch-a-lot bait.
