Beyond even the lowest depths of Guk, lost Ykeshian ruins wait to be explored. This grotesque nest has been feeding for generations, waiting undisturbed beneath the murky swamp. Nothing can escape this labyrinth of mud and stone. No longer content to dine on the occasional exiled Froglok, the loathsome creatures within this den are developing quite an appetite for adventurers. Will you be their next meal ?

To get this adventure, talk to Kallei Ribblok in South Ro at the LDoN camp, SW part of zone. Choose high risk and type rescue.Deepest Guk expeditions are triggered by talking to NPCs in the Wayfarer camp in South Ro (far southwestern part of the zone).

Though mob level was based on group average level?

I thought mob levels were based on group level average?
#REDACTED, Posted: Apr 07 2004 at 12:25 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Nope. Points awarded is based on group average. Difficulty of mobs is based on who zones in first. So higher level character will set higher bar of difficulty.
Undead? or not our old Lower Guk?
# Oct 21 2003 at 10:20 PM Rating: Default
Was wondering as a 65 Paladin with SU3 is there any undead in here alla original Lower Guk? or is this like deepest guk of the Live froggies who are evil but not undead? Or are the froggies who are usually the best highest lvl monsters in old school Guk and are undead still in there just no one has posted them??? I been to Mistmoore 4 times and SU3 is pretty decent in there with about 30-50percent of the mobs being undead if you are lucky in there. Any in this zone i know there are a few here and there in Miragual which ive done 4times there are some skellys in there. I was hoping there would be a load of undead mobs in this zone but if not oh well i dont really see to much i like cept maybe some of the higher point augs and the high point belt in SRO... But was wondering this dungeon seems under explored in Mithaniel marr dont get many invites to here...

Did a Deepest Guk adventure last week and there were anywhere from 70 to 85% undead, probably closer to the latter. There were very few live mobs that we ran into.

Great place for classes with anti-undead abilities/spells, like paladins, clerics, necros, and shadow knights.

There are tons of undead mobs in there as I have seen from pallys and clerics criting/nuking.

I'd like to mention that about half of the mobs in guk seemed to have a damage sheild and someother buffs cast on them because it took more than a couple dispells to get it off. Not every mob but i did find it most one frogloks and some witnesses.

Loot
# Oct 05 2003 at 10:32 PM Rating: Default
It seems with the untraditional setup of this expansion, it is more difficult to update loot and such, so feel free to add anything you pick up along the way as a reply. Also, it doesn't have to be loot, but that is the main thing... I'm just posting this so that people will be a little more motivated to share what they have learned.

Edit: I just realized that I myself have gotten some loot. The moss-covered cape drops here, 12 AC, 70 HP and mana, and 7 to saves. It is listed in Allakhazam, but not yet listed for a specific mob. Found on normal difficulty, slaughter mode (whatever it's called...).

To get to Deepest Guk you need to seek an adventure from the South Ro adventure merchant. You accumulate points from successful adventures within the Deepest Guk zones to purchase your spell.

There are 5 Wayfarer's camps around, they are:

Butcherblock (near the Greater Faydark zoneline),
East Commons (in the tunnel beside the Shady Swashbuckler),
North Ro (on the west side where the grass meets the sand),
South Ro (On the grass about halfway up the zone between the wizzy spire and the Innothule zone) and
Everfrost (in the delta 'V' where the two arms of the river join, closer to the eastern split).

Not sure about which NPCs you need to speak to in each, I've only got my stone from two of them. The East Commons guy is a Half Elf bard, I forget the others. Sorry.

You can also get your Adv. Stone in Rathe Mountains and West Karana. The West Karana NPC is a Vah Shir just north of the wizzy spire, which if you don't have a SoW (or a bard!) it makes it a little quicker to come from the North Karana spire than the Qeynos stone in PoK. Or get a wizzy to port you, of course. I've never been to the Rathe person, so I'm afraid I can't tell you where they are.

Hope this helps. I marked them all on my map as soon as I found them because I had a similar problem :)
I love the dungeon crawl experience and hope this info helps get you started! Have fun!

[Edit: Fixed a spacing problem and made it easier to read :)]

Adventure Points
# Sep 30 2003 at 1:01 PM Rating: Default
I beg, plz some1 explain me how adventure points are earned
RE: Adventure Points
# Oct 01 2003 at 6:56 PM Rating: Excellent
Adventure points are earned by completing adventures. If you complete the objective within the 90 minute time limit you get points based on your level (and possibly on the difficulty of the mission). If you complete the objective after the 90 minute time limit but before the dungeon expires you get a much lower amount of points. At the level of your bard, you'd probably earn 50 or so points per adventure. Your warrior would earn around 10ish.

New mob
# Sep 14 2003 at 9:56 PM Rating: Decent
There is a new mob that I hate in the Deepest Guk, name is A Spoiling Jin Explorer. At my level of group, 55, it was using Ice Comet when I attacked it... be sure to interrupt it before it has a chance to get that, or any spell off. Bash if you are a melee class, or warrior before lvl 55, then if you are a warrior at or after level 55, just Kick when they start to cast, just be sure your kick connects or you're out of luck... It's usually best to either have the whole group go to this mob and attack it where it stands, or attack it and stand behind a wall so it runs to the camp.

GL against this mob, hope you hate them as much as me. =D

was a named Burrower. Forgot his exact name but I remember his loot. Dropped "Cauldron Minion Lance"

MAGIC LORE
DMG 40
DELAY 49
2H Piercing
AC:8
WIS:+8 INT:+8 HP:+30 MANA:+30
Sv Cold:+10
Recommended Level of 50
WAR RNG SHD PAL

Not bad at all. We did a FFA roll and I won. Its like a cheaper lower level version of Narandi's Lance.

Oh and the group was level 54- 61.
the anomelys
# Sep 13 2003 at 5:28 AM Rating: Decent
Hey, I can't remember the name exactly, buy the things (1% hp mobs) on the floot, that you can attack, when we did so as a lvl 50 - 55 group, got a mana / health restore from some, and finaly, just before our big fight, one became our pet...

but (LOL) we couldn't figure out how to control it... but the text (wish i had a screen shot) certinly made it look like it was suddenly our war's pet... anyone else have this happen?

btw- we had a rog. taking care of traps, and as this was our first adventure, we were going slowly, and ... failed :( but it was a good learning experience.

I loved these. We had the warrior go up, kick it, and then say "follow me". It stood up and followed him around like a pet. We buffed it up and the warrior had a pet. Very nice added DPS. : )

The warrior said it was sending him tells too.

I've been on more dungeon crawls with my bard than any other characters (it's down to who I group with more than anything right enough) and he groups with a necro and two beastlords, so I'm always the non-pet class and I get these as mine.

I love them! Okay, so they don't output much damage, but anything extra is always good :)

I just feel really guilty when they're about to de-spawn and tell me that they "Can't go on any more" and ask me to "Avenge them". Is that pathetic? :)
RE: the anomelys
# Sep 13 2003 at 6:04 AM Rating: Decent
They act like enchanter pets. You cant control them, they will only attack if the master is hit. Obviously you'd only want the main tank to have them as pets, or at least someone who's getting hit frequently.

yes, you get an adventure, then you make someone else in the group the groupleader then have them get an adventure, repeat this process until you get the adventure that you want

There is no need to switch group leaders. There is a 45 second timeout (or close to) to ask for an adventure again after you decline the one you don't want.

Pets or not?
# Sep 11 2003 at 4:51 PM Rating: Decent
I havent started (or even bought) this expansion, but I was wondering do they have pets? Or are those the only monsters there? And what about the other 47 zones? (If you remember)=)
RE: Pets or not?
# Sep 12 2003 at 12:04 PM Rating: Decent
Actually, each of the adventure spots has multiple different zones that can be spawn in that spot. Generally you get a different layout with each mission. In this particular dungeon there is a mix of live/dead froggies, spiders, these eyes, and other monsters. The layout that you get upon entereing mixes monsters from that dungeon set's available MOB list. The level of these monsters also is variable depending on the level of the group entering the dungeon. I.E. a low twenties group would have monster blue/white. Kill missions generally have a red mob at the end.

Well this was my first real adventure in LDON (actual first group fell apart before we even got in zone). We were a 41 Troll SK 43 DE Cleric 38 barb rouge and myself a 37 barb Warr. The mobs were not that bad we took them out easy with single or double pulls but the rotting Froggy (krysta something or other sorry had lag and couldnt get screenshot to take) could complete heal and the floating eyes could mez. After a pull of three and whole group gettin mezed things turned ugly and we had to zone out. Just an intersting side note you can clicky zone while mezzed hehe. Well that was our adventure so just to warn ya kill the eyes first unless your ready to be mezzed and killed.

You put a low level DoT on yourself to settle this. Breaks the mez.

RE: Levels?
# Sep 11 2003 at 12:28 PM Rating: Excellent
The level for all of LDoN is 20-65 the level of each instance or dungeon is dependant upon your group make up and what difficulty you pick. groups have to be within 7 levels of each other ie. lowest 20 highest can only be 27

I've killed Drigo twice now. If the MA is rooted then use a knock back stun and your MA will be summoned to melee range. Works great as I am a paly and have had to do it a few times to stay in range. Sure wish these assassination targets dropped loot. Haven't seen any yet from them. Only the named seem to have good stuff and they are few and far between :(
