Got released during Legacy of Ykesha but got moved to Planes of Power on progression servers.

In the depths of the Lavastorm Mountains there is only one ruler. But even his burning breath and power have their limits. Rumor has it that there is wealth and danger in locations even further below the boiling lands than Lord Nagafen can reach.

As the only entrances into the Caverns of Exile are through scorching lakes of lava, people have a tendency to burn to death before even setting foot in these caverns. Assuming you make it past this first hurdle, there are many other dangers which could lead to an untimely demise.

The site of a struggle for power between the Vrodak Tribe and Goblins of Fire Peak, these caverns play host to a variety of volatile creatures, from tentacle terrors and festering goos to fiery imps, flame mephits, and fire elementals. Past the kobolds and goblins lurks further danger, with a clan of powerful fire giants, swarms of fireback spiders and their queen, and a powerful demon by the name of Culthor...

Zone line
# Aug 11 2003 at 6:43 AM Rating: Decent
This has got to be the worst Zone line I have ever seen in the game. We all went down as a GUild to do a mini raid. everyone zoned in most of the casters died, but not too bad because there corpses could be dragged. But then there were the two of us who zoned into Sol A by accident and when trying to get back into SolB ended up in the cavern of exile. Good so I finally made it into the zone, but im so confused as to which way im going it takes me a few minutes to get my bearings, Caster, few minutes in lava, I didnt really stand a chance. Unfortunatly not only have me and some friends died, but our corpses are at a completly difrent part of the zone to the rest of the guild.
What followed was well over an hours CR, The zone line needs to be changed or moved because I cant see myself going there again unless it is, which is a shame because when you finally get your group in alive, i found it a fun zone.

The zone in is a bit screwed up also. It is directly East from 14 on the eqatlas map. But if you are levitating above the lava you usually zone to Sol A. If you are in the Lava most of the time you zone to Sol C. You are dropped at different spots depending if you zone in from A or B. So if you zone from B to A try and stay above the lava and you can zone back to B and try again. Had to hire a CoTH mage last night to help regroup us.

Also if you zone in from B to C you are in lava. You need to swim forward and up quickly. with 80FR I took 95hps per tick and about 800 points getting out. We lost several casters to the lava.

if you zone in from A to C, you also end up in lava and have to swim out before ya melt. The sola side has goblins, the solb side has kobolds (not a big surprise). Evac (succor, etc.) sends you to the goblin area (sola zone in side). the Sola side has a ledge to stand on after you exit the lava, but before you kill anything (it's a safe spot to buff before fighting in)...this is where evac dumps ya. (we had 2 groups zone in with some on one side and some on the other...the groups from solb evaced over to us at sola so we could fight together). There is atleast one path connecting the Kobold and goblin areas, but I leave it up to you all to find it

The entrance is that last bit of lava to the east of the area marked 14 on EQAtlas map of SolB. Face east, step off solid ground and swim under the lava to ZI ... it is not far. When you zone to the caverns, however, you will take significantly more damage from the lava. I took 68 points per with a 164 FR. -- Capparis of Saryrn

Was there all day yesterday! You can enter it from sol a which is the zone line all the way south or you can enter it from sol b which is a lava waterfall you jump onto. The lava damage is alot more in sol c so be careful. We found alot of things here named galore! I got a flickerflame dagger which is 12/22 5 fire damage and alot of stats. I'm pretty happy with it. There is alot of places to get lost and alot of things see invis. I searched the whole zone with SoS and I am pretty sure I missed alot. We took out a bunch of named but some we didn't take were this gatekeeper who was 65+ with 6 level 65 guards around him. A giant spider with a million adds aroud it. There is a place with fire giants near the sol a zone and near sol b is the gatekeeper. We found a nice dead end to camp at near sol b zone line where many named poped like the keeper of fire who dropped a excelent neck peice with uber resists. It is a good zone check it out now because it won't be around for long!

Yes this zone is real and is very hard to find. You have to dive into lava to get there and once your in you have to swim out of the lava. So have a high FR or a lot of hp.
