How do you get out of each trial to go to the next one?

Did the entire PoT phase 1-6 incl Quarm solo with an 86 ranger in about 90 mins, albeit with a bit of AFK between phases. Got a little tough by phase 5 and Quarm as i had no healer merc, down to 20% hp at the end of Quarm, RZ and Inny, had to cast a few heals. Glad ive finally seen it done though. Never did it back in 2002/3.

time works like a champ. takes me 2 hours to run though it the all I can say is remember it is a timed raid and that you have to kill all the mobs that are up in each phase before you can advance to then next

Was playing around today and I can't get it to work right. I did all 5 of the trials with my 71 ranger/83 mage. AFter completing all 5 trials (I had to do undead last) it still gave me the message about not being able to click the clock in the trial areas (something about its phased out or something). Tried going into a trial again and after about 3 minutes it punted me out as if I ran out of time.

Why does everything have to be such a chore in this game. Should people really have to read and study up every time they try to do a raid or anything in this game? Why can't there just be a NPC tell me exactly what needs to be done for something like this? If its buggy and not working right just jerk it out of the game since its decade old content now anyways.

This is the reason the average gamer plays WOW now adays.

I read your post .. my conclusion is 2 reasons you did not kill all the mobs up in each of P1 or was it p2 either way you have to kill all mobs up. your a ranger did you think to use track ? the other option is at your lvls you ran out of time ... at 100 cleric and 100 bard I clear p1 in 20-30 mins to which, upon a success you are given an extra hour to hour and half. WoW PvP is ********

I wish people would precisely say how to FIND PoTime B. All these connecting zones and i cant find a damn portal. I've been running around Fear for an hour.

As an 80 necro with a lot of SoF and DPoB gear, I joined a raid of similar geared and leveled characters in the B portion of time for the Zek bros., and then Bert, Cazic, Rallos and Inny, and of course Quarm. I resisted almost every aoe except Bert's disease one, and the Rallos precision(?) one. Even Quarm's never landed. Also, most of the DoT's I cast stuck, except near the end of the fights it seems they get more resistant and I just resorted to lifetapping for damage. So, if you're in a similar opportunity to go to PoTime before it goes to "fabled" I'd say take an alt to take advantage of all the rotting drops! I plan to!

Hey all.

Did anything recently changed?
Last time we killed up to p5

The next day we returned to do p5 and p6.
But we got lockout probs.

I dont remember this being a problem.
Did anything change?
Or do you need to stop at p4 inorder to do time in 2 times?

Okay, seeing as how I asked the original question of How Time works, I'll go ahead and explain it to all those who dont know:

(Look at the bottom for time frames and Time Easter Eggs)

There are two zones named Plane of Time. Plane of Time A and Plane of Time B. First we'll cover Plane of Time A.

Inside Plane of Time is it a regular public zone. You will see people not in your raid inside Plane of Time. At each corner of the Plane of Time which is shaped like a pentagon, you will find smaller version of the Time Sundial that you find in Plane of Tranquility. These miniature sundials, take you to the trial areas.

Your raid force is now broken into 2 parts. 1 part will do Water, Air, and Undead trials, and the other will do Earth and Fire. Each trial runs almost exactly the same with a different theme. They are not very difficult and go very fast. Trash mobs spawn and begin attacking. After the first wave, there is a second wave of Named "Guards". Once these are down, the named who has been up since you started the trail will be come targettable. He casts a small AE (Or possibly a DD) and spawns adds. Basically, keep a tank on the named, and have the rest of your trial force kill the adds, then go back to the named. Rinse....repeat. Once you are done with your trial, either you will gate, or have yoru wizard AE TL you all back to Tranquility. You zone back in, and go to the next trial.

So, now that the trials are out of the way, you move on to Phase 2 which is more like 1/2 of a phase. Your first few times through, you may not even realize that you're doing Phase 2 (i didnt). Here's how it works. Your trial group will pull nameds from the next immediate area after your trial area. Some trash, some nameds, not overly difficult. Like I said, it will be finished before you even realize that you've started phase 2.

After phase 2 is done, you will come up to a large canyon, with about 30 mobs at the bottom on an island. There is a glowy blue portal behind them.

Welcome to Phase 3. In phase 3 you will find that it works similarly to a ring event, but the mobs are pre-spawned for you. All of the Phase 3 nameds are standing there waiting for you, and their trash is infront of them. You will not be able to target them unti you pull the trash and kill it. In essence you have to work your way back to them. Its advisable to have a FD puller for this, and a tagger. Let me explain the setup.

Once you reach the canyon, you can see that there is an area you can stand on right below you, that is where the raid goes. Its a sizable chunk of land and you will all fit. Have your puller (Monk or SK advisable) pull the trash from the island and your tagger grab it from them as they FD. This portion will requre alot of coorperation from both the puller and the tagger. You shouldnt get adds, you should get maybe 2 mobs at the most to kill. Zerg them, handle loot, and lather...rinse..and repeat until they're all dead. In this area, is where you'll find your Time Phased Quintessence's. The glowy blue portal behind the mobs you just killed will take your to Phase 4 where the fun begins.

Welcome to Phase 4, its all down-hill from here (not really, but it makes you feel better dont it). Here you will find your first taste of Time Gods. This room is a square room with 4 cubby holes at each corner. When you enter, to your right will be Terris Thule, left will be Saryrn. On the other end of the room will be Tallon Zek on your left, and Vallon Zek on your right.

Terris Thule is an interesting fight. Basically she will cast an AE dot that will hit you pretty hard and drain your mana. At this point you will probably be thinking (Infusion will make short work of that) but DONT. You will want to save that for later. She spawns adds at intervals of 20%'s of health. The adds arent too bad, but your enchanters will go splat. Off tank them and zerg them, then go back to TT. Saryn is next and she is the exact same fight. Handle it the same and you will win.

Then we come to the Zek brothers. Do Tallon first and wedge him up against the bookshelf and use your DPS to push him. He isnt that hard just has alot of HP's. Keep burning him down and you will win. Simple as that. There are a few adds, but they arent that bad. For Vallon place him in the same place as you did Tallon, and do the same thing.

Click on the white thread spool looking thing right outside the Zek's area, and Welcome to Phase 5.

Here in Phase 5, it looks very similar to Phase 4. You will see 4 gods in each corner, and this time there is a door directly on the other side of the zone in area.

The Gods in order as you zone in are:
Bertoxxulous to your left, Cazic Thule to your right.
Rallos Zek to your upper left, and Innoruuk to your upper right.

There are now adds infront of all of the gods. The adds go fast, and are nothing to really be worried about. Pull the trash for all the gods to the zone in room (not all at once obviously) and destroy it. Once all the trash is clear (yes ALL of it) pull either one of the two closest gods into your room. We did Cazic. Put the tank in a corner, and zerg the god. Simple as that. Pull the other one, into the cubby hole previously occupied by the first god you killed, and do the same. Watch out for Bertox, its best to keep your casters far away until about 85%, that way they'll be safe. Have them run over, and unleash hell. Bye Bye Bertox.

Now, for Rallos. This one's interesting. Put the tank in the corner by the armor stand, and have the dps disconnect and kill the adds when they spawn. Keep up the pace and you will win.

And now...the undisputable, un-deniable, un-equivicable....the HARDEST fight in time.....The Dark Prince Innoruuk. Innorruk is all that stands in your way of Quarm-kicking glory now.

Innorruk, while appearing to be normal, has some nasty dps. But the only real thing thats bad about Innorruk is that he FEARS!!!! Yes, you will get feared. Now that you are blinding running away without any regard for your safety, its probably a good time to mention those portals that you have been seeing everywhere. Those portals will take you to the gods HOME plane. The one behind Terris Thule goes to Nightmare, the one behind Saryrn, goes to Torment, the one behind the Zeks go to Tactics, etc etc etc. DO NOT get feared into these portals. Its best to either snare yourself or put on walk and take any run speed buff off. If you get feared into a lesser or outer plane, you're screwed.

Innoruuk at this point will start spawning adds (at about 80%). These adds will be a plenty. Root them off becuase you need ALOT of dps on Inny. Once Innoruuk dies you can handle the adds, but burn Inny down FAST. Once he's dead, deal with the adds quickly, and remember, they're leashed. Take care of the adds, handle lewtz, and open the door directly across from the zone in room.

Here you will find your third and final spool thingy. Once you click on the spool you will be in an 8 shaped cave. At the end is your good buddy Quarm. Behind him is a stone thing that looks kinda like a stone brain stem, but more about that later. So here it is, the last thing in Time. Quarm. Pull him and watch the AE fun begin. His AE's hit HARD and FAST and will make short work of anyone who doenst have a complete heal chain on them. Now would be the time to pop Infusion of the Faithful if you have it, if you dont, find somewhere to hide. At about 70%, a few "A Time Vortex" will spawn. These are mezzable by enchanters and dont worry about killing them, they will despawn when you kill Quarm. Keep the DPS on him and keep the enchanter alive to mez the adds and you will win. Once he's dead, you will have plenty of time to get loot handled.....okay, lewtz handled? good. Head to the back of his cave. Start attacking the brainstem thing, and once it's dead (it wont attack back....kind of like a chest you have to beat open) Zebuxoruuk falls out of it. He says things like:

"Thank you for your help, now quickly take me out the way you came in." At this point, Druzzil Ro will spawn, saying...

"This should never had occured. I must keep you in a safe place my student. (Talking to Zebuxoruuk) and remove the adventurer's from this place. None of you should be here. I will transport you to a time before any of you were here. Including you Zebuxoruuk."

I dont have the exact script there, but thats the jist of it. At this point, you are transported to the Plane of Knowledge infront of Maelin.

Congratulations, you have just completed your first Time Clearing.

TIME FRAMES, AND EASTER EGGS!!!

With Sony's infinit wisdom, they realized that as the adventurer's that we are, we would click on anything that we could just to see what would happen. So they put something in Time for you curious people that love to click on things. The portals behind the gods. I would not suggest clicking on them, unless you want to do a quick Saryrn in Torment raid, or doing an awesome Fear break in to retrieve your curious raid-mates.

It was also quite clever of Sony to place a time limit, on the Plane of Time (wow, didnt see that coming). Everything you do here is timed:

Upon beginning your Time expedition, you receive 1 hour to complete all 5 trials. Once your trials are complete you receive another hour to complete Phase 2 (as said above you will not need the whole hour.

For Phase 3 you will get an hour. So if you finished all trials in 30 mins, then finished Phase 2 in 10 mins. You have spent a total of 40 mins in Time with 120 total mins alloted to finish the tasks up to this point. Upon entering phase 3 you receive an additional 60 mins bringing you to 180 minutes.

It takes you 20 mins to complete phase 3, so now you have 160 mins. Upon entering Phase 4, you receive 1 hour per god, so with 4 gods up you receive an addition 240 mins (60 mins x 4 gods = 120 mins). 240 + 160 = 400 total minutes to complete Phase 4 (or 6 hours). Say it takes 120 mins to complete the 4 gods, you will subtract 2 hours from your total avaialble time bringing you down to 280 minutes left. Upon entering Phase 5, you receive another hour per god. Saying all four are up, you now have 520 mins (8.6 hours) to complete these 4 gods. Again, you take 2 hours to complete them, and you receive yes another 2 hours to complete Quarm. Giving you a total of 520 mins total (8.6 hours) to complete Quarm and beat Time.

so to recap:

1 hour for Phase 1
1 hour for Phase 2
1 hour for Phase 3
1 hour per god for Phase 4 (Up to 4 hours)
1 hour per god for Phase 5 (Up to 4 hours)
2 hours for Phase 6 (Quarm)

And finally, dont ever forget, DO NOT touch any blue glowy portal except for the one that ports your from Phase 3 to Phase 4.

Erm... sorta. It's the same for all raids ((I've found people had left corpses from previous instances.)), BUT it CAN affect your instance's start times, etc. No idea how it's treated game side.

I cannot wait to see what bugs SOE adds when they do that too. There are five Time Dials in tunnels. Each one allows you to enter a particular Trial in P1 (Air, Earth, Fire, Water, Undead). All five have to be completed in one hour for you to advance to the next Phase. Leave these alone unless your Guild is raiding into Time B.

Never killed any of the mobs in Time A. I am not sure if they would assist each other or not. There is no zone out either so the only way to escape a bad situation is to zone into the Graveyard.

Can someone clear up the potime A and B issue. When you click in from the sundial in tranquility which one are you zoning into?

When you do zone in from Tranquility what are the different sections all about? Are the mobs that are there really indifferent or once you cross over the bridge do they become KOS?

Is time a pure raid zone (only bosses) or are there trash mobs and such to fight like the elemental planes.

When you click the sundial in tranquility, you are taken to Time A. From Time A you can either: A. take dials into time B (When you zone in, it starts, or continues, your instance).

In Time A there are many mobs that you CAN kill, and they give exp returns about the same as plane of fire... Although I really don't think your supposed to attack the mobs (They do drop vendor sellable stuff however.)

Time B is a pure raid zone. (You could do phase 1 with 2 groups or so, but those drops start rotting very quickly anyway.)

At the beginning of time, Veeshan created the lands of Norath and placed her First Brood on the world. This brood consisted of Lord Yelinak, Zlandicar, Klandicar, Illiandar, and Sontalak. Over time, more dragons are born, such as Jaled'Dar, Trakanon, etc. There was only one faction for the dragons at this time. There was not such thing as the Ring of Scale or Claws of Veeshan.

Somewhere during this time, two dragons of different colors decided to mate. The resulting child dragon was Kerafyrm. Some believe that this dragon may have been more powerful then all of the First Brood and may have been almost equal to Veeshan, herself. It is also believed that Kerafyrm may have been insane and wanted to destroy world of Norath and all life on it.

What ever the results of the mating was, a war broke out amoung the dragons which became known as the War of the Scale. This war was devistating to the dragons. It horrorified them. To end the war, the First Brood and all of dragonkind was forced to imprison Kerafyrm in a deep sleep and place him in a tomb. Kerafyrm's sleep has to be maintained and gaurded by four warders inorder for him to stay asleep. It is unsure if these 4 warders are also a member of the First Brood, along with Lord Yelinak and the others, or a member of the Second or Third Broods as is Kerafyrm, himself.

After the war, many new laws were formed to prevent this thing from every happening again. The two most notable laws the dragonkind made were: 1. Dragons of different colors are forbidden to ever mate. 2. Dragons are forbidden from killing each other.

Sometime after the War of Scale, Jaled'Dar did not like the way that Lord Yelinak was running things for the dragonkind. Jaled'dar formed a splinter faction of dragons and lead them from their homelands in Velious to the lands of Kunark. The splinter faction become known as the Ring of Scale while the original faction become known as the Claws of Veeshan. Amoung these Ring of Scale faction dragons were Trakanon, Phara'Dar, Lord Nagafen, Lady Vox, and others.

Now, on the continent of Kunark there rose a race of lizardmen named Shissar. The Shissar exanded their empire far and wide throughout the land. They experimented with many dark magical arts and discovered many powerful and secret magics. The Shissar had gained so much power that they even angered their own gods. Their gods brought down a plague upon the Shissar that completely whiped them from the face of Norath.

At the end of the Shissar empire, there were five tribes of the Iksar. The Iksar were the slaves of Shissar, and now that their masters were all gone they had free reign to grow. Each of the tribes grew to power on their own. The five tribes were the Kunzar, Kylong, Nasthar, Obulous and Jasarth. They named their leaders Sathir which is Iksar for "King". Eventially, one Sathir gained enough power to combine the five tribes under one rule and created the Iksar empire. This Sathir was Venril of the Kunzar tribe. He made Sebilis his captial and started a period of expansion and consolidation.

Over time, Venril explore the dark arts that the Shissar left behind. As he grew old, he began to fear death and wanted to become immortal. He finally made a pack with Innoruuk for the knowledge and power to make himself immortal. An amulet was created that with the correct rites would allow him to achieve his goal. But inorder to become immortal, he first had to commit suicide. Then his initiates were supposed to place the amulet, that had captured his sole at this death, back on his corpse. This ritual was interupted by his Venril's son Rile. Rile wanted to be king and knew that he would never be king if Venril become immortal. Rile had Venril's corpse destroyed and the amulet containing the sole of the old king hidden.

While this all was taking place, the Ring of the Scale faction of dragons who now resided on Kunark, held a secret meeting to discuss the iksar expansion and its threat to the dragonkind. Trakanon, who may have been considered the wisest being on Norath, advocated a powerful direct and immediate intervention on behalf of all the races against the Iksar. It is rumored that Trakanon may have had the power of foresight and knew that the Iksar would eventually challenge the power of the dragons. The other lords of the Ring of Scale disagreed with him and it was decided that the dragons would only take an indirect hand in with the Iksar expansion.

Trakanon decided to take matters into his own hands. While Rile, the new king of the Iksar, was saling with his fleet in the Timorous Deep, a sqaul arose and sinks the Sebilisian fleet including the flag ship Fetid Plank which Rile was aboard. All hands were lost including Rile. The lords of the Ring of Scale were furious and Jaded'Dar, leader of the Ring of Scale dragons, imprisoned Trakanon for 600 years.

Rile was succeeded by his son Atrebe. Atrebe was more like his grandfather Venril then he was like his father Rile. While Rile was a warrior king, Atrebe aspired to learn the dark arts that his grandfather knew. He experimented with combining dragons and iksar to create the Sarnak which he had trained to be his slave army. He also experimented with combining dragons with Frogluk to create the Sokokar which would be the flying mounts for his Sarnak army. Atrebe perished in one of his own foul rituals gone bad.

Atrebe was succeed by his third son and general, Ganak, who acted quickly and assassinates his brothers become the king of the Sebilisian Empire. In retaliation against an acts that Atrebe did against the dragons, the dragons go to war against the Iksars. This war last about forty-four years. Towards the end of the war, a mighty battle was fought in the skys of what is now know as the Field of Bones. In this battle, Ganak on the back of a Sokokar meets Jadel'Dar. The magic that they used to fight each other kills both of them.

Ganak was succeeded by his only son Chottal. In a final blaze of revenge and desperation, a group of dragons attack the royal palace and kill Chottal Sathir. This ends the war between Iksar and the dragons. The dragons of the Ring of Scale are devisated by their loses and return to their Peaks.

This also ends the reign of kings with the Iksar empire and a new council is formed. This council is called the Emerald Circle. The Emerald Circle attempts to rebuild the Iksar empire but runs into some difficulty. There are earthquakes that drop ancient Viesar into the Lake of the Moon. Danak is split and half of it falls into the sea. Starvation spreads across the empire. The frogluk and giants that the iksar have conquered and enslaved rise up in revolt. Even their own creation, the Sarnak, turn against their masters. The Goblin lords of Faydwer send raiding parties to Kunark. Kurn's Tower is smashed and broken by an army of giants lead by a mountain giant named Warslik.

Trakanon and his allies burst free from their 600 year imprisonment and descend upon the cities of the Iksar and reduce them to ruins. They take the bones of slain Iksar and other creatures to the sight of the death of Jadel'Dar as an example for others who may think to fill the shoes of the Iksar.

Finally, the Ring of Scale reforms around Jaled'Dar's daughter, Phara-dar. They demand that the destruction be ended before the continent is ripped apart. Trakanon refuses to rest until death and vows to watch to insure that the Iksar never rises again. Phara-dar blames Trakanon for the death of her father since it was he that started may have started the war with the Iksar when he had Rile killed. Trakanon is banished to the council chambers of Sebilis to live days forfilling his vow to watch for the return of the Iksar empire.


Added into this series of events are some of side stories that include Lady Vox, Lord Nagafer, Jaled'Dar, Venril Sathir, and Zlandicar.

Some time during the reign of the Iksar, it seems that Lady Vox and Lord Nagafer wanted to mate. This was against one of the laws that was created after the War of the Scale. It is believed that Veeshan may have had to take a hand in the event to stop Lady Vox and Lord Nagafer from creating a second Kerafym. Lady Vox was imprisoned in Permaforst and Lord Nagafer was imprisoned in Lavastorm to keep them from completing what they desired.

Sometime after the fight that killed Ganak and Jaled'Dar, part of Jaled'Dar's remains was taken to the dragon graveyard Dragon Necropilous. While it was there, Zlandicar decided to taste it. This caused Zlandicar to desire only to eat the flesh of fellow dragons.

Sometime after the fall of the Iksar empire, the Sarnaks rose to a short time in power. During this time, they explored the dark arts that the Iksar, and before them, the Shissar used. They found the remains of Rile, son of Venril. They also found the amulet containing Venril's sole. They completed the ritual causing Venril to be reborn in the body of his son. Venril rose up to conquer the land again and using his dark arts he created an army of undead. The gaints who would not be slaves again, fought back and forced Venril to hold only Karnor Castle in the middle of the desert of the Dreadlands.

It also seems that Jaled'Dar's spirit did not go to the afterlife but was stuck in the dragon's graveyard. This may have been the result of his flesh being consumed by Zlandicar. How ever it happens, it seems that the spirit may have gone insane or atleast desire to be released from the world of Norath. Jaled'Dar see that the only way that he can accomplish this goal is to have the Sleeper released. If Kerafym is released from his prison, the destruction of all the dragons and the world of Norath would give Jaled'Dar his final release. But he is still bound, even in death, but the laws of the dragons and not being able to directly kill another dragon. So he is unable to removed the warders that protect the prison of the Sleeper. To achieve his goal, he tricks mortal advantures into doing it for him by giving them the key necessary to gain access to Kerafym's tomb. To prevent the First Brood from stopping Kerafym again, should he be freed, Jaled'Dar desires proof that all First Brood have been defeated prior to giving the key to some unluck adventurer.

Hey.. For those who would like to see any of the zones in EverQuest, without actually going there, I recommend downloading EQ Zone Viewer, at EQZoneViewer.com, its a great program that I myself used to explore the plane of time. When using this product you can act as a normal wanderer or use ghost mode and fly/walk through walls, very helpful for those who are raiding and need to explore zone, and its also just neat to see new places without the risk of mob agro.

Not something that's going to be summarised easily I'm afraid. Short answer though is that other guilds probably wont flag you for the final parts needed at the very least. There are plenty of PoP progression charts out there which I suggest hunting for and you may be able to get a flag or 3 from common raids, depending on your server.

Also remember that for PoP, levels are your biggest asset. Being below lev 65 will count against you if your wanting to go on thse sort of raids, moreso as you get into higher tiers.

Try the following for an idea of whats needed - all the red and green markers are pretty much necessary, with 1 or 2 exceptions like Aerin Dar.

Also note the yellow markers on the map. Those are quest versions of advancing to new zones, but all they do nowadays is potentially get you a flag earlier, an AA, and an increase to your charm. You still need to kill the main mob on that line to get the necessary flags.

We seem to be getting another Guilds Instance when we are doing Time....

My question is,

Is there a way to avoid getting another Guilds Instance?? Is it Related to the time that they raided last? ie; Guild_001 Raided PoTime and finished at 11am Est.,,Would Guild_002 have to wait a certain amount of time before going in to avoid getting Guild_001's Instance in Tiers 2-4?

Some people said that if you got flag Time by missing some others flag, for example elementals flags, you got all flag with this one.

Any one know about this ? If you complete Time flag did you get all flag you miss before ?

No...
You can get Time flag without being full elemental and can zone into Time whenever you like, raid or not. But, you still have to get all the flags for elemental, sorry to break it to you...

I think it says, when you zone up, "You have entered the Plane of Time" whether you zone into A or B. It only distinguishes between the two in a /who type of action... The graveyard is actually seperate from A and B, btw... You can zone into graveyard from A, I think and have to gate or be ported out. No zone outs that I am aware of...

No, Kerafyrm is the offspring of Vox and Naggy, look at the Sony official web page, a part of it gives stories about EQ and it says that Vox and Naggy did have a child (Kerafyrm)and that the other dragons of the Ring of Scale banished Vox and NAggy and put Kerafyrm to sleep. Thanks

Netherus is correct. Kerafyrm is not the offspring of Vox and Naggy. Naggy and Vox were thrown out of the Ring of Scale because they wanted to offspring a prismatic dragon under their control. Thanks.
