It is official. The first guild has officially entered The Plane of Time on an official live server. Details are sketchy right now, but this information was confirmed by Alan Vancouvering on the EQ Live Website.

Hey, although i have a lvl 52 warrior i still feel like a newb some times and this post will probably prove that. I was just wondering how you get flagged for the Plane of Time (what mobs, how much time, etc). There is no chance that i am ever gonna get there probably, i am just curious. Thanks for your responce.

Or you can do it the real way. Go through Planar Progression flagging for Air, Water and Earth Planes access. Do Sol Ro Tower for Fire Plane access. Now go to each of these planes and collect the essences that will give you the key to Time.

Getting to Time will require nothing from you but levels. If you app to a high end raiding guild they can get you into Time if you join their raid even if they aren't flagged (called the 85% rule). Then you can loot a particular piece and it will flag you for Time. Simple as that.

That is a Very good question. I tried to gt this info from a few other and it proved to be very difficult for me to get. For the record there is a way to get to PoT but you must be flagged for other PoP zones. in order to progress to PoT you must have flags from other zones. here is a chart showing you how to go about getting your PoT access. BEst of luck friend.

I dont know if he was right but I know that Township Rebellion on Legends server killed Garm (spelling?) first. He is the "boss" of the Plane of Time.
RE: first to time
# Oct 28 2003 at 10:38 PM Rating: Default
Spelling is "Quarm" :) and yes, they did kill Quarm ONE day before Afterlife because they wiped, but Afterlife was the first to get access into PoT..
#REDACTED, Posted: Apr 22 2003 at 2:02 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Plane of time is actually 2 zones only guides and GMs have been given that piece of infromation. So take a guess as to how I know it )

I've seen PoP progression maps that have a zone after the zome of time for months.
PoTimeB

I have a theory about why there are two zones to PoTime. Suppose that when you activate whatever you need to, you are put into PoTime A, where you must save Zebuxoruk, but then, suppose that when that encounter is completed, you could not reactivate the machine, but would have to enter through the PoTranquility sundail, and instead, arrive in PoTime B, which is the same zone without the dynamic events; being rather more of a hunting-oriented version of PoTime A zone.
Just a theory i can't prove in the least, but would make sense to me.
The PoTime Quest
# Mar 30 2003 at 2:48 PM Rating: Decent
Ok, here's a compiled summary of what happens in the whole Plane of Time quest...some of it is theoretical, but the whole summary is based on the known quest so far, and from screenshots taken in PoTime by someone using a ghost hack. Please keep the flames to a minimum =)

Maelin, a gnome in the Plane of Knowledge, asks you to destroy Rallos Zek, God of War, because he suspects that Rallos will try to destroy Norrath. After killing Rallos, you discover a note from Solusek Ro, the Burning Prince, proving his involvement in the plot to destroy Norrath. Returning to Maelin, he tells you that Solusek Ro is in possession of a large crystal "burning with all the powers of the Plane of Fire." Using this crystal, Solusek will be able to turn Norrath into a charred wasteland. He plans to give the crystal to a Manaetic Behemoth, (the mechanical dragon in the Plane of Innovation) and force it to transport the crystal to Norrath. Maelin then sets you on the task of destroying Solusek Ro, thus saving Norrath from a horrible fate. After destroying Solusek, you return to Maelin, who gives you terrible news. Apparently, Zebuxoruk, the God of Pain, was wrongfully imprisoned in the Plane of Time by the council of Gods known as the Pantheon. There is no way to free him from his prison now, but if you were to travel back in time, it is possible that you could save him before he was ever imprisoned. The only problem is, how does one travel back in time? Maelin tells you that in order to do so, you must harness the very essence of the elemental planes. You must venture into the deepest reaches of the elemental planes and destroy each elemental god. Xegony, the Goddess of Air, possesses the Essence of Air. Fennin Ro, the God of Fire, possesses the Essence of Fire. Coirnav, the God of Water, possesses the Essence of Water. And finally, The Rathe, the Gods of Earth, Possess the Essence of Earth. Somehow you are to combine these four essences into one and use the final product to travel to the Plane of Time, where you will be allowed to venture back through time. It is theorized that the four essences, when combined with an unfired medium container in a kiln, will create a type of grease. You are then to take this grease to the Plane of Innovation, where you will find a strange machine with four clocks. Use the grease on the gears of the clocks to cause the machine to start running. The machine is in fact a time machine, and it allows you to journey to the Plane of Time! At the Plane of Time, you encounter many Gods, some who you have faced before, who try to prevent you from entering any further into the Plane and disrupting their will. You have no choice but to destroy these gods or be destroyed yourself. After destroying them, space and time begin to fall apart, and all creation is undone! The gods of creation cease to exist, and thus Norrath and the entire universe cease to exist! Suddenly you are transported to a different Plane of Time, in an earlier time period, before Zebuxoruk was imprisoned. Because gods surpass the bounds of time, however, all the gods you destroyed are still dead, leaving only Veeshan and Zebuxoruk alive. Zebuxoruk, driven insane by his constant pain and agony, decides to destroy you and all of your fellow adventurers! He even summons Kerafyrm, the ancient sleeping prismatic dragon and child of Lord Nagafen and Lady Vox, to aid him in destroying you! However, since the gods no longer exist, dreams no longer exist either, and Veeshan, the Mother of all dragons, awakes from her eternal sleep! Veeshan quickly translocates herself to the Plane of Time, where she begins to battle Kerafyrm! This leaves you to deal with Zebuxoruk, the fearsome God of Pain! After an epic battle, Zebuxoruk is destroyed, and Veeshan is nearly killed by Kerafyrm! However, you step in just in time to save Veeshan from destruction, and destroy the dreaded sleeping dragon, Kerafyrm. Veeshan thanks you, and transports herself away, but not before restoring everything back to it's former state. As it turns out, Zebuxoruk was never meant to be freed, and his imprisonment was deserved. The world of Norrath is safe once again! Congratulations, you beat EverQuest!

...and that's the story!

For those of you reading this, the parent post is completely false.

Oh, and yes, Kerafyrm (the sleeper) is the child of Vox and Naggy. He's a prism dragon, which is a big no no in the ring of scale (mainly because he's so insanely powerful).
RE: The PoTime Quest
# May 12 2003 at 12:58 PM Rating: Decent
Read the PoP manual. It says Zebuxoruk was mortal. He is the Un-god. Regardless, he is definitely NOT the god of pain, that would be Saryrn the Mistress of Torment.

That's a pretty story, unfortunately some of your facts aren't straight.

Zeb isn't a God.

Kerafyrm isn't the child of Vox and Naggy.

And while it might make some sense to add Veeshan to the picture, it's hard to picture it happening, since she is supposed to be really, really big.
RE: The PoTime Quest
# Jul 10 2003 at 2:51 AM Rating: Default
Yes, I can not understand how Veeshan would be able to fight there. Veeshan could squash Kerafyrm ;). For those of you that don't know, the great rifts and valleys in Velious were caused by Veeshan striking Norrath with her claws. Even though some of the facts are mixed up, it *was* a good story :)

I was looking up crap for a spell and clicked on bestiary for Skyshrine, then I saw a lvl 70 mob that caught my eye: Jortreva the Crusader. Some guy in there said if you have good faction you can talk to him and he says Kerafyrm IS the child of Vox and Naggy! From what ive heard thats BS but I was wondering if anyone that has talked to the thing can validate that?
RE: The PoTime Quest
# May 05 2003 at 5:02 PM Rating: Decent
True about naggy and vox. Another supposed fact is that in PoT size is meaningless, hence veeshan a god bigger then the world can fight with you. But one thing is that Zebs godhood or lack there of is still under dabate, His origins are questionable.
Interesting
# Mar 16 2003 at 11:24 AM Rating: Default
I was looking at the zone files in the Everquest Folder, and I noticed something. There was two sets of zone files, potimea and potimeb. That means that there may be a harder, more dangerous zone within the Plane of Time!

no POT B has no big hard mobs in it... A has the POL (wondering what POL is look on my other post) by the way the music in POT A is very cool look in the eq directory or go there your self.

Considering what plane it is and what the name implies... (ie, time travel)

Wouldn't it be great, and maybe even logical, that when you zone into the Plane of time, you are given the choice, possibly through a quest, to transfer your character over to EQ 2?

Ok, so here is my thinking to help everyone understand.
The plane of time is supposed to be the one place where all time gathers, right? So wouldn't it be logical to be able to travel to any time when leaving this plane?
Plus, isn't EQ2 supposed to be some time in the future of EQ1?

Dunno, just hoping I guess. hehe.
RE: Wouldn't it be great if...
# Apr 29 2003 at 7:36 AM Rating: Decent
That would be interesting, but considering the fact that they're almost definately going to be making a lot of changes with how characters are made and work and such, it is a highly doubtful theory.
RE: Wouldn't it be great if...
# Jan 30 2003 at 4:51 AM Rating: Decent
That was the EXACT same thing I was thinking. Only problem would be everyone and their grandma would try and make it to the plane of time just to be able to transfer their high level character to the new EQ2 server, farming like they lived in Oklahoma. If they were able to limit or regulate the flow of characters transferring it would be great to put it in the game. But, alas, we all know it won't happen.

This may not even be concievable, but I have a theory on this plane. Once entered (and I have no idea how you enter it, or such) you are given the option (in so many words) to travel back into time to fight Veeshan herself.

Why would you have to travel back in time to fight Veesh?
OMG i knew it existed!
# Oct 24 2002 at 12:50 PM Rating: Default
This is where lag comes from! When GM's tell you that servers are working fine, and the lag is not their fault, they were right all this time!
Lag originates in the plane of time! It's so simple I'm surprised nobody thought of it first!

I can see it now, your fighting some kind of boss from this plane and hes like crap, they are winning, then disapears, goes back in time like an hour and camps the zone in as the raiders enter his plane, LOL

Actually, I think you'll get there and find computer models of the head programmers of EQ, and they'll cast this Mez spell on you that will make you give them all your plat and sit down at a glowing box forever...

First post... cool.

Hmm... or maybe i just used the power of time to go back and write this before you all write yours.

HAHA you'll never know.

(hmm... however the power of time apperantly didn't stop me from telling my all time lamest joke)

So seriously... my one question is, how many haste items are gonna come oughta this plane, and how many mobs are gonna cast slow spells. Lets face it, it just fits it too well.
