The Jaggedpine Forest made its debut on July 24, 2002.

It is home to a clan of Darkpaw gnolls, visitors from Qeynos and Surefall, as well as a host of many animals, most of which are very aggressive and sometimes difficult to see in the thicker regions of the forest.

Decided to check out this new zone that opened up right beside my hometown of Surefall Glade.. I've always felt at home there, and was very glad to have a direct port there... now there is a zone I can hunt for exp there! .. Very much looking forward to exporing it in further detail.. so for those of you who haven't taken a gander, I'll give you my impressions of it.
At lvl 55, I expected green city .. for the most part yes, but also a fair number of blues .. telling me of the diverse levels of this zone. I took down a different type of griffon and got exp from them. There was gnolls on track that were ALL blue to me, so I imagine there's lots of exp, possibly loot or at least positive faction to gain from this.
Good zone for druids and rangers, as there is lots of animals in this zone (griffons light to normal blue, black pathers at the same lvl, bears, etc) so there is a variety of spells that can be used (fears, charms, and MR resist debuffs) for our advantage. There also seems to be potenials quest in the village area, and one of them made reference to having a banker! .. (didn't take a look, so didn't confirm) may be an alternative for a close port to this zone to bank instead of RV.
So, all in all, as long as this place doesn't suddenly become a hot spot or exress zone (LOIO.. *shudder*) then take a look, it should be well worth it

I am all for a pro-ranger/druid zone, but ya know that once they do something like that lots of folks will get bent and want a zone geared toward their class of choice.

Then again that is not the worst ideas.

I dunno. Just my two copper while I wait for the Patcher to put me through.

You seriously have to be either kidding, or smoked a little too much crack when you were younger.

Stonebrunt has an area or two that is ok, but is not druid/ranger friendly as an overall zone. WAY to many adds, from the roamers.
Spirit of Cheetah saved my druid many times to get just far enough away to cast gate.

Oh but how wrong you are...

I hunted almost exclusively in Stonebrunt with my Ranger from lvl 38 to 49. The exp went incredibly fast. I know many other Rangers who call this zone paradise as well. It's all about your strategy my friend.

First, pull the animals away from the heavily populated paths, especially crossroads. Snare, Panic Animal, whack, Panic, whack, experience! Dealing with adds is usually real simple. Just cast Panic animal on them, and typically they run right out of aggro range. If not, sow will enable you to outrun any mob in this zone and get out of it's aggro. Occasionally I had to zone. More often, I could camp and come back aggro free. Be sure to bring plenty of bat wings with ya, cause Lev is a huge help in this rugged zone.

Give it another try brother Druid. Keep sow on at all times. Leave spirit of cheetah for other situations. Panic the animals, and don't panic yourself, and you'll be amazed at the results.

Well, clerics/paladins *do* have several undead-heavy zones (Befallen, Unrest, and Mistmoore to name three) where we can show our stuff.

Tower of Frozen Shadow is a good Undead filled zone as well, many, but not all, mobs in that zone are undead.

For high-level undead zones, try the Grey, some spots in the Umbral Plains, and some in Ssra Temple.

Don't forget about Kithkor Forest. I don't suggest solo-ing, but good for an xp group. Not sure about this, but I belive Sun Reavers in SD are undead also. If so, hunting them on the plateu is great xp, and no wanderers.

Well if all those place are sucky for higher level pallys, you all should try City of Mist, it's pretty much bring your own group, but there not only is undead there but the chance to get a few drops.

ummmm reavenfeather after like level 30 you won't get exp in those zones. and after level 40 only pally friendly zone is wfp (hehe stupid evil guards die!)

Personally, I haven't found any undeads that would con dark blue to a 55 in any of those zones... Yeah, there are a few in LGuk, but you'll almost never get them due to over camping. Very few undeads in KC, and most of them are clerics or shammies. And when you're in a zone that's wide open like a BW, you have to deal w/ not just undeads, but Sarnaks, wurms, and Giants.

While I'm glad to see a new zone, I don't go for the whole method of making a zone for certain classes, even if it were necro, pally, cleric, or SK oriented, and my main characters are currently a 53 SK and a 35ish necro.

Very few undead in KC? You must have never gone past the dog tower. The back part of KC is about half undead. Go check the bestiary listing for KC...you'll see all kinds of em.

Silly, lots of mob's spawning points(in the castle) if ye constantly keep it cleared change to Vampires at night, then ye will get a bunch of them.
